Orange Peel Cologne

This is great! And so unexpected. I was trying a few Jo Malone's in the shop, not expecting much. But this is soo good. A burst of orange at the opening and then it gently mellows into a woody orange but retains the slight bitterness, which I find very nice. I have several good citrus-lemon fragrances but it is not easy to find a good orange which is not sugary sweet. This fragrance has almost no projection but lasting power is not so bad for a Jo Malone. It is a something which I wear just for myself as a mood booster after a long day. For this it is perfect!

Nice zesty orange pop scent, but that’s about it. Nothing new. Likable but not really worth the price. And considering this is an orange scent in a marmalade collection, I would have thought it would be more of a gourmand scent than this.

While this is nice, it is not an edible orange--which is what one should justifiably expect from a fragrance billed as part of the "marmalade" collection. Truthfully, I don't even consider it a decent representation of orange, period.

As a part of the Marmalade collection, I hoped this would be a little more jammy, maybe even slightly sweet. But it's just another very refreshing summer cologne, which is not bad either, but not really my style. The orange peel note is quite bitter and has a fizzy, sparkling feel to it, so it's perfect for scorching hot summer days. The rhubarb (not listed here, but on the official JM site) is a nice, subtle addition. Its sour, but completely un-bitter fruitiness makes the orange more balanced and keeps it from being screechy. The overall impression reminds me of Atelier Cologne's citrus fragrances. It's not a great performer and nothing very innovative, but a nice refresher and completely unisex.

Smells like orange rind and politely backs away. Bright, clean, and straightforward, with cashmere wood smoothing it out just enough to keep it from smelling like kitchen cleaner. It’s linear, safe, and minimal to a fault—like someone who shows up on time and leaves early. Sadly, the synthetic vibe lingers more than the citrus. Good for summer if you want to smell freshly wiped down. MOVIE MATCH: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before — sweet, simple, predictable, and honestly fine.
