Red Hibiscus

A beautiful soft warm and sweet scent. It opens up with a sweet hibisikus that for a second reminded me of BKR 540 but just for a few seconds. Its not a dupe at all and doesnt stay that way. Soon the ginger and some spices followed (must have been the cardamon). After about ten minutes a beautiful warm jasmine comes forward reminding me of Jasmine rouge. After it settles down I get a beautiful blended warm sweet cocooing scent. Here it's hard to smell out different notes as the mix is very well blended and goes very well together. Then the incense starts to pop out in a very gentle way and just adds some depth to the overall scent. In the end I'm left with a smooth calming beautiful smell that puts a smile on my face. I don't get a specific vanilla vibe but I'm sure it's there to add to the sweetness. I don't neccecarly get that summer vibe some people have mentioned either.For me this is a all year around smell but will be especially nice in winter and fall in my opinion. And definitely more evening time that day. Sillage not the biggest but since I'm not in to super heavy scents anyway I'm pleased with this. Haven't worn it a whole day yet, so concerning the longevity I'll have to give an update on that later on. On cloths some of the warmth and spiciness losses it power. I'm happy I bought this and I'm excited to keep trying this in different setting. Maybe I'm wrong and it will bloom even more in the spring and summer!? *Update: So the scent lasted about 6 hours on my skin ( which I'm totally ok with) and all day on the cloths. Very happy I got this

I first tried the 2021 version and fell in love. I’m now trying the 2024 version. Unfortunately, I don’t have my old sample to compare, just memories. Creamy smooth floral. Slight bright citrus in the opening which brightens the florals. Warming up on skin, creamy jasmine and ylang ylang projects. The florals are smoothed over with a vanillic base. I can’t ignore a slight spice as well. It’s somewhere between a summery and an autumnal scent, perfect to wear when taking advantage of the last warm days of the year. I can’t ignore the many extra notes listed in this year’s version compared to 2021’s. I don’t think they changed the scent, rather chose to disclose more notes this time. This is why I’m surprised others don’t say it smells very similar to Valentino Voce Viva. That was the top comparison made for the 2021 version. Perhaps the extra notes listed are making people perceive the fragrance differently?

I hate that I love this lol. Obviously because of the price. This hit the mark for everything I was looking for . Something that's has a soft warmness , no leather , not woody and good for the evening . The black cardamon really leads the top notes followed by the orange and then the ginger . The flowers in the mid really make this bloom and are kept very warm from the amber and vanilla . Once it really settles the incense creeps up enough to add that extra depth . I really don't get that much hibiscus though. But I absolutely love this . The sillage is pretty good . The first hour it's a solid 4 to 5 feet. At about 3 hours you're still filling up a car with scent . It didn't get into where I had to bury my nose into my arm to smell it until hour 5 . Scent -9.5 Complexity - 8.0 Quality - 10.0 Performance - 8.5 Bottle - 9.0

I originally wanted to purchase another scent from Jo Malone, but the SA showed me this one, and I completely fell in love. At first I was hesitant because of the price, but Red Hibiscus really stands out from other colognes; after smelling this one, the rest of the collection seemed 'meh' in comparison. It's rich, juicy, complex but not convoluted and it evolves nicely – a very pleasant journey from opening to dry down. UPDATE: I thought that with this being an 'intense' cologne, performance would be better than the regular JM line. Unfortunately, longevity is rather poor. On me, it lasts for about 3-4 hours and I need to reapply. Such a shame for its hefty price point!

Red hibiscus is the most amazing divine vanilla floral creation from Jo Malone. Bummer that it’s not a very hyped fragrance and not a lot of people know about this, but this is absolutely stunning. The longevity is really really good on this fragrance. I got a tester bottle of it from my previous purchase and I ran through the tester bottle so quick because I absolutely adore this fragrance. This is one of my signature fragrances, whenever I wear this, I get lot of compliments. The projection is good. Longitivty is really good and so happy that this house came up with a vanilla fragrance, which is one of my top favourite notes.

One of the few fragrances that instantly put a smile on my face the moment I tested it (along with English Pear & Freesia, also by Jo Malone). I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist for hours and eventually went back to buy it. Florals usually lean either too sour or too sweet on my skin, but this one strikes the perfect balance. It feels idyllic, combining a dark, sensual depth with a touch of playful innocence. The performance on my skin is just right; it projects enough to be noticed without ever becoming overwhelming, making it perfect for indoor or office wear. I haven't tried layering it yet but I sense it has potential.

OBSESSED !!!!!!! Incredible vibrant realistic floral over a creamy cool base. Sweet but not gourmand. Fell in love with it immediately when sampling all of the intense line and came back a month later to spend the 200 euros on it because it was all I could think about. I've smelled a million different florals but nothing quite like this. Definitely more of a spring or summer scent but I could imagine wearing this year-round because of the vanilla and amber notes. Sillage isn't super strong but I'm not mad. Dries down deliciously. Love love love and will definitely become a signature fragrance of mine.

Red Hibiscus smells like a powerful woman. Its opening is very balanced, and you can distinctly sense ginger, orange, and cardamom. A few minutes after spraying, the white florals -especially ylang-ylang- jasmine and vanilla start to reveal themselves. The use of vanilla is very different from the classic sweet vanilla perfumes. it’s warm, deep, and mature. This fragrance feels like throwing myself onto a bed of red satin. It’s the scent of a strong, self-assured woman—young yet sophisticated

Another banger from Jo Malone. I love that this one is super versatile, it's great on its own, but even better when layered with a simple vanilla fragrance. My husband and I both use this perfume, my only critique is it seems to last longer on his skin than it does on mine. Probably just my skin chemistry. I smell lots of non-overpowering florals mixed with amber and incense. I don't smell the cardamom or ginger. Kind of subtle citrus. Overall it's a win for me!

Stunning, elegant and interesting. Not like anything else I have, I wear at all times of year particularly in the evening. I’m so sad that the performance is so poor on me, I love this fragrance but I use sparingly now as I’m not sure I’ll be able to justify the price of another bottle considering how weak I find it. Signature scent worthy otherwise :( Deep, addictive and ever so slightly tropical

I love the opening, but drydowm reminds me of something I loved from the 90s, I can't find what it is, if anyone knows what it is, please write. By the way, it's really like two separate perfumes. The opening is a stunning and elegant perfume with floral and fruity sweetness. But the finish is very fresh, soapy and airy. I think it is one of Jo Malone's most worth buying perfumes.

I haven’t found a Jo Malone that I was a huge fan of. This one made me look at the bottle like hmmm this is good! But I believe because it smells just like one of my favorites (Prada paradox) or even a Victor Rolf Good Fortune quality ...it has that same fruity, deep sweetness. I’m a fan but I won’t be upgrading to the full size because it feels redundant to own

I love the tropical feel ! The floral notes mix with mandarin, ginger and vanilla, just the right amount of sweetness and freshness. Feminine, casual, elegance. It stayed on my skin about 5.5 hours, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

Deep and warm, my only complaint is that it doesn't last very long. It's a uniquely mature scent that still invites you to remember more floral times. Incense base note makes it feel very sanctified.

I'm drunk on this! It's everything I ever wanted. Need a bigger bottle ASAP. So feminine, bold, not spicy. It smells rich, fruity, intelligent and mysterious.

This perfume is perfect. Makes me feel feminine, sexy confident. It's giving, man eater vibes with a touch of boss lady.

Slightly oriental, soft deepness, calming sweetness and elegance. ✨ Performance could be better. Very pleasant to use.

Sooooo good but so weak for the price point ☹️ has the sillage and projection of a weak vs body mist.

Smells like high quality Oolong/black tea to me. Surprisingly addicting
