Wild Bluebell (2020)

i bought this on accident because i thought it was the same as the original scent. turns out it's a lot more floral-ey and less directly melon, but it makes for a great and light spring-summer scent. it's my go-to scent for when i'm going out for errands or to hang with friends-- it's approachable and delicate but not unnoticeable.

This version is different to their main house version, less violet-y. Meant to buy the original scent but got this bottle because it was pretty and I'm so glad I did. It's a beautiful watery floral scent.

👑 Vivid. Dignified. Royal / Noble. Highland Fields. Can be a blind buy. Doesn't smell vintage. Bellflower = Unique scent. Lasts longer than the original. Daily use for spirituality sessions.

Oh this is very nice! Fresh flowery and slightly powdery dry down, it is a very pleasant fragrance. Really lovely.

This has got to be the wimpiest fragrance out there. They should call this body splash or body mist. It's a lovely light floral scent but so weak a baby could use it without raising eyebrows. This could be a preteens first grown up fragrance. A very rich preteen as the price is scary. Spring summer scent. Sillage and projection are non existent.

first impression is that this smells exactly like a household cleaner. then there is a weird sour note. I got this as a sample. I'm not sure how to feel about this.

Nothing special about this one. All I get is powder.

Jo Malone London's Wild Bluebell isn't exactly like English bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta),...but its vaguely there, and not like any other flower either, so I recommend letting one's imagination bridge the gap. Actually, constructed floral accords NEVER smell exactly like the flower they're supposed do be. Muguet, hyacinth, sweet pea, primrose, etc.,; none of them ever quite capture the delicate, fleeting, nitty-gritty of the actual living flower. In fact, it looks like Jo Malone London just took a muguet accord and fiddled with it a bit: A hint of clove, touch more green, and calone for an effect that is supposed to be watery but is actually more fruity, like a honeydew melon, ...or, in this case, ...dare I say it, ...blueberries. None of this is a major complaint. Will Bluebell is a lovely, light, fresh floral scent, ...just remember to go outside and smell some real flowers too. Edit: I'll re-post this to the other JML Wild Bluebell page. Even though the release date for this version is more recent. It seems evident that most people are interpreting the other as being the current scent, perhaps based only on the appearance of the bottle.

My bottle is all used up and yet I can't bring myself to move it to the 'perfumes I had' shelf. Jo Malone comes in for some hate, and I often find myself on the defensive when I review a JM or Jo Loves frag. I love this. In a word, it's ethereal. Smelling it and closing my eyes I truly do feel like I'm stood in my local woods here in the UK, in May, among the bluebell carpet, just after a light slightly humid spring rain. It's A mIdsomer nights dream in scent form lol. As April begins, I miss it. I can't afford a new bottle for now, but I suspect I will grab hold of this one again
