Joop! Homme Sport

Not sure about the comparisons to Le beau male JPG but I do enjoy this one.. I love the original Joop and like all frags except the green one, I think it was Joop jump or go. This one has that same authentic punch to the face that the original has but it goes about it in a different way. It was almost a dislike for me at first, but once that mint started to pop this was a love for me. In some ways it reminds me of Calvin Klein Encounter Fresh. It’s not a clone or a dupe, but you’ll pick up similarities. It almost seems like a minty boozy mojiito smell, but there is no booze in the notes. Performance is slightly above average, I get about 6 to 7 hours with this stuff and the compliments I receive are truly unsolicited compliments wherever I go. This is a solid 8/10 for me, well above average.

Got a 4.2oz for a good price on a fragrance site as my Husband likes Joop! and wanted to try a flanker. We live in Florida, so I figured this was the perfect option. We both really like it! I would say for this particular cologne the group is spot on, it is aquatic and has a more aromatic edge due to the ginger, mint, bergamot and orange blossom. The leather gives it that slight powder/clean/fresh smell you get from the original JOOP! but its blue and aquatic and sea salty. My Husbands chemistry really makes the mint top stand out, on me I get more of the ginger and the citrus. Sometimes aquatics make me feel a bit queasy, however this is refreshing. Highly recommend and safe blind buy if you want an aquatic and you like the original JOOP!

I like this. It's less sweet and cloying than the original but retains just a hint of its DNA in the dry down. I think it's a really successful combination of the spicy ginger, the sea salt, the mint, and aquatic notes. I normally don't like "sport" flankers but Antoine Lie has created a superior one.

A fresh minty aquatic with a zingy start and a typical generic dry down for a sport scent, but there an exception with this one, I tried the dior sport 2017 along side with this joop sport and the joop beat out the dior in longevity at least an additional 2 hours, sometimes we judge some scents a little too premature and not allow time to let us know more about a product. I got about 6 hours of performance with joop sport,by the 4th hour it faded but the scent continued to be a strong skin scent, the dior sport 2017 took a total fart in the 4th hour.so the Joop homme sport went home with me and it will be a gym bag scent to be enjoyed in the future.

Look. I admit it. I have a Joop addiction. I can't get enough of it except for that rubbish orange one. And this to me is like what Dylan blue is meant to be but just isn't. Performance and sillage are average. I think that's been the case for this iteration of the Joop brand of scents. But this scent opening is lush. minty bergamot and what feels like lime. Drydown is almost wearing the original Lancaster Joop again. I don't know. This is an average scent for most people but aside from ice. This is one the best for the small cliche band of Joop troops

A few days ago, I stopped in a local flower shop that I'd never visited before. The beautiful green-eyed shopkeeper greeted me with smiles and hugs and offered me a giant bowl of Fruity Pebbles while I perused her inventory of vibrant arrangements. I remember hearing Cruel Summer playing overhead. The shopkeeper's breath was Tic-Tac fresh and her hair smelled faintly of vanilla. I lingered in the shop for hours, maybe even days. All I really know is that I never wanted to leave. That's exactly what this smells like.

wore it over the summer 2019. good performance and longevity for a summer scent, great price (got the 200ml). i get the mint, the sea salt, sea note blast. dries down slightly sweet, the sea salt and sea notes still strong. easy to wear for casual events. easy blind buy. you have to like salty fragrances tho. spring/summer banger.

Update: The drydown reminds me of Vera Wang for men. Not a bad thing IMO A pleasant and fresh scent. Its a cheapie where i live but it performs really well. Great longevity and descent sillage. A fun summerfrag, not so much connected to sports IMO. The bottle is horrible tho, but its whats inside that counts :)

This is a really pleasant addition to the line. Really fresh and sweet smelling and a definite late Spring/Summer/early Autumn fragrance, and especially a bright kinda day. Silage is okay and longevity is just above average but overall, one well worth having in you collection. 8 out of 10 for me👍☀️😎!

Good value for money, not so sweet and aggressive as the original. I like the "salty" nuance. The "Sport" part of the bottle looks very cheap and ugly. Overall I am pleasantly surprised for this price and can recommend it. Also the deo-stick is very good for me.

Got interested in this after reading @curt42's comment. Decided to give it a try. Definitely disappointed, but not as much as I thought. It's not bad, but yeah, limited use, cheeky, yet boring fragrance. But it's cheap, (got a 200ml for $40) so who cares.

To me, a stronger version of Hugo boss iced with added bergamot. A dry mint/bergamot fragrance with good projection and longevity, a nice try of a summer scent from Joop! A ageless yet casual only scent IMO, but Jump is a better summer scent IMO

fresh, spicy, rather interresting take on a sporty fragrance. a typical joop. 5/10 soundtrack: die sterne - big in berlin.

plesant candy smelling fragrance, not very sporty tho, more of a beach scent for younger men.

Not much that's surprising here if you're even the faintest bit familiar with the house of Joop. This does NOT smell like the original Joop Homme but it checks all the other boxes: loud, youthful, playful, and synthetic-smelling. Biiiiig blast of mint and bergamot in the opening makes this an invigorating fragrance. It quickly dries down to a salty mix of sea water with some orange blossom swirled in there. Not "sporty" in the traditional sense, but again, this is Joop we're talking about here, so there's bound to be some sweetness. I don't find this fragrance much to write home about, but it's pleasant enough. If you are a fan of the original and want a similar vibe for a summer-leaning fragrance, I think this one would suit you.

I am so utterly disappointed by this, there's a sharpness to the opening that is rather pleasant, but as it dries down it becomes so generic, aquatic definitely, a little similar in a way to Le Male Terrible, that aquatic minty vibe. Sadly this didn't do it for me, expected so much more.

Joop! sell out, and this one is the latest in a series of fragrances that smell even cheaper than they are. *

A more modern version of Individuel by Mont Blanc. I can't believe this hasn't been pointed out more

Joop Homme sport 2 sprays at 6pm on a warn evening 6:10pm - The smell is faint but the sillage is strong I love the mint note in this. Overall really does smell like Creed Original Santal so far. 7:00pm - smells a little salty now still like original Santal but the mint is very faint. Projects not far from my skin. 8:00pm - very faint now, could be due to number of sprays which is 2 in this case, lemony-salty vibe, very reminiscent of Aqva Amara 1am (7 hours later) - after shower, I still get a salty lemon aqva-amara vibe but it's barely projection and sits really close to the skin. If you stick your nose right up there it does smell pretty strong. Overall, this sits close to the skin after 1 hour and not a personal favourite after an hour, if it performed better after the 1 hour mark this might've been a constant rotation for the summer. Le Male (4 sprays) at 6pm on a warm evening. 6:10pm - The smell is strong and sillage, very strong 8:00pm - still projecting well off the skin, I can smell it very clearly 10pm - skin scent now. 1am (7 hours later) - after shower, still smell it though it is very faint, even fainter than the joope Homme sport, although this was much stronger in the beginning stages. Overall, it projects very well for 4-5 hours and because of the smell, a definite favourite. Note: I'm already biased to this one and it has been on my purchase list for a month now.

I bought Joop Homme Sport for my partner last Christmas as we sweltered through yet another hot December. He's a die-hard Joop Homme fan, and as much as I love the way it smells on him, I couldn't get through another Summer being suffocated by it. I thought Joop Homme Sport would be a safer alternative, and whilst it is definitely more warm weather appropriate, I was slightly disappointed that it lacked much of the original Joop Homme DNA. Joop Homme Sport is a salty and citrusy aquatic with a dash of green, herbaceous mint. There is very little sweetness in this composition, with only a subtle hint of tonka bean in the drydown adding a vanillary touch. I was admittedly disappointed with my purchase, however my partner loves Joop Homme Sport and he has worn it on multiple occasions. In a way it's unlike anything else in his collection, as he's not one to wear many aquatics or fresh scents. Joop Homme Sport has become his easy grab and go for Summer and for when he goes to the gym. The projection of Joop Homme Sport is actually quite bold and longevity just as impressive. It's important to go easy on the sprays, as it has just as much throw as the original Joop Homme.
