Amber Delight

Amber Delight is a beautiful and surprisingly affordable scent. It’s a fairly straightforward true amber, falling neatly in the middle between traditionally masculine and traditionally feminine accords. This opens up as a strong woody amber, slightly peppery, and leaning a bit masculine. Over time, it becomes a bit softer and sweeter, as the tonka and presumably vanilla (at least to my nose) base is slowly revealed. This is one of three new Jovan scents, each centred around a single note. I’m not sure if these are intended to be layered but I enjoy this one just as it is, on its own. I have no doubt it could be layered as well. The longevity is amazing, the bottle is heavy and substantial, and the scent is fantastic. This has quickly become one of my most recent autumn favorites. If you’re a fan of ambers, do yourself a favor and check this out. I really can’t say anything negative about this one.

Currently wearing this. It's sweet, spicy...a little floral. It's quite strong and projects well! Just a few sprays should do. The price for this is fantastic (I paid $17 Canadian). They also have a new Vanilla fragrance, I think I'm gonna try that one next!

Pleasantly surprised by the loveliness and longevity of this one - It's sweet, witchy amber, wrapped up with a hint of incensed rose. I walked into an occult store and received compliments immediately. That should tell you enough.

This definitely reminds me of stronger with you intensely but with a minty fresh note. I would say this is more masculine but definitely unisex. I like to use it for layering. Soft amber, tonka bean cardamom and sweet mint.

Blond Amber done right for 20 bucks believe it or not. It’s a fresher, brighter and lighter version of it, less incense less cloying, more aquatic, think of “blond Amber sport” or blond Amber Eau fraîche I find it closer to BA than to SWY.
