Tender Peach

J-Scent’s “Tender Peach” (or Green Peach as its Japanese name translates to) is a sweet, bright, and slightly green fragrance reminiscent to an underripe white peach you might find at an outdoor farmer’s market. Wet on the skin, it starts with a flash of citrus notes before it gains a fuzzy yet crisp quality that keeps the white peach heart note from being overly cloying. The drydown on it produces a nice soft musk that remains close to the skin. While I quite love this fragrance by itself, I find it truly shines best when layered on top of a perfume that will amplify its best qualities. I frequently pair it with perfumes like Zoologist’s “Hummingbird” during the warmer portions of the year.

brightly green and fresh upon opening but quickly becomes a tart peachy aroma with a creamy tuberose and a subtle dewy rose. To my nose it’s not astringent or sharp, I get a lot of creaminess especially from the florals and sandalwood. The dry down is more musky, still peach heavy but with an added hint of raspberry that makes it more fruity, and a bit lighter. Love this one and was surprised to see it not be well received!

All fragrances in this line are pretty poor performers, and are fairly linear. However they are extremely photorealistic to what they claim to portray - and this one in particular is actually a lot stronger than the others. It smells EXACTLY like a fizzy peach drink. I never wear this, I just spray it to feel nostalgic about Japan.

bought this secondhand on a whim, definitely getting that "unripe fruit" note, it's also a little soapy, and reminds me in a pleasant way of a chalky peach candy, like a pez or something like that. nice on it's own, but definitely going to try layering it with some milky/vanilla scents.
