Kanon Kool

I have all the other Kanon fragrances and each one smells delightful and seem to be a unique take on standard scents. as with their others, the sillage and longevity are not that powerful, but I do agree that this one is slightly better than the others and can last a few hours with just a few sprays. The mint is interesting and gives this fragrance that little something but as with their other lines Kool straddles that space between name brand and generic. This has a soft and somewhat soapy dry down and I think this is perfect for nice after shower relax time With friends and family. Nothing too overpowering or obnoxious.

Kanøn Kool.. most fresh fragrances follow the aquatic path and even though Kanøn Kool contains sea notes it doesn't really smell aquatic fresh like many Nautica fragrances or Davidoff cool water which was/is the aquatic benchmark (pre reformulation). I think the mint, Tonka and leather balance out the sea notes and the seaweed to make it more of an airy scent. Not aquatic fresh but airy fresh in the same way Giorgio Beverly Hills Wings has achieved an airy freshness. No, they are not at all similar but the concept is the same. A non-aquatic fresh fragrance despite aquatic notes if that makes sense. A very nice cheapy....

Top note is sweet with the mint really shinning bright. This one does not last long at all. Longevity isn't here. Only if the top note lasted more than a few minutes. This one is a gym scent for sure.

Looking at the notes and packaging, the "Kool" I expected to encounter when I went to smell this one was a minty, citrus cooling. Unfortunately, the "Kool" I actually encountered was that of an unfiltered menthol cigarette. Not worth my $7.99.

After picking this up, I now own all of the Kanon fragrances. In general, they are inexpensive, smell great, but lack longevity. Kanon Kool though, breaks the rules a bit. I did spray liberally (12 sprays on wrists, hands and neck), but the longevity proved to be much longer than I expected, exceeding five hours! It has a fresh mint scent at the top, very cool and refreshing that I wasn't expecting in an aquatic. I don't get too much citrus in it. As it dries down it remains sweet and pleasant. Very safe and usable for home and office!

There is a distinct, almost overpowering plum/berry note at the top of this. I used to own this about 10 years ago and, upon recently wearing Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky, I instantly recognized the same scent. If you like scents with strong, sweet berry frame around citrus around a resinous base of earthy notes, you might like this.
