Cuir Vicuna

Beautiful and so refined. I cannot stop smelling this, the Siberian Castoreum is the star in this, giving off a seductive leather yet, feral animalistic quality. Cuir Vicuna honestly makes Tom Ford Tuscan Leather seem like it belongs in a bargain bin at your local drugstore. The vetiver and patchouli in this compliment each other superbly and makes this extrait addicting and seductive. I will be buying a full bottle immediately. If you haven’t heard or tried Katana Parfums, I suggest you do so.

I struggle to find a leather forward fragrance i really like. Have tried at least 50 and this is by far the best. The only one I find full bottle worthy. But the price is insane. What can be a cheaper alternative to this type of leather dna?

I agree with the last reviewer, this is beautiful and I would say blind-buy safe. For me, the Bergamot and Cinnamon dominate for the first five or so minutes, shortly after that this beautiful tea-y frankincense emerges - think as if frankincense smoke has been intertwined with rich, dark, and opulent black tea. To my nose, the middle and finish of this fragrance are absolutely a showcase of Castoreum, Vétiver, and Patchoulli but fear not, if you do not generally like these notes, try this fragrance anyway. It’s great, honestly. I’d say that this is unisex but slightly leaning towards masculine. The only criticism I have are that (1.) the citrus notes in the opening can be a little bit harsh at times, and (2.) I do not understand the relationship between the fragrance, which is beautiful, and the inspiration/notes added on the manufacturer’s website. Whilst I am very new to the fragrance world, I have lived/travelled in many Arabic countries and do not identify this fragrance with any of them. 8/10
