Mankind Ultimate

I'll update this after I've worn it more. On first wear, this is a very masculine, sexy scent. A heavy oakmoss and vetiver blend with a softening touch of cashmeran signal boosts a sweetly spicy sandalwood. The open was very brief, so I didn't catch the citrus open others have, but I'm sure I will on future applications. Thankfully, there is no cucumber (in my opinion Kenneth Cole men's fragrances have a sad tendency to include a very off-putting and synthetic cucumber or melon note). I got this in .5oz sample set with Mankind and Hero, and this is my favorite, though people who favor lavender-sage-cedar will prefer Hero. Reminds me of Perry Ellis 360, but that cologne is a very straightforward oakmoss-vetiver and this has a noticeable touch of added depth from the sandalwood and subtle florals. I swear there's some cedar or other woods in here as well, maybe oak or ash. Compared to the default Mankind, this is spicier, slightly less sweet, more complex, and more masculine. Mankind is pretty much two notes: the pineapple open and a sweet cedar. This has more complexity, could be worn with a suit in serious situations. I notice that there is a current trend to advocate for vanilla-heavy balsamic and gourmand scents for dates, but I would recommend this if you want to project an austere masculinity to your paramour. Too serious for a club and out of place running errands unless you just really enjoy the scent for yourself.

Like big d said, this one is an under the radar type scent. It was likened to Mont Blanc legend but this contains a water note that makes this fresher and more energetic than legend. I say fresher but this isn't a light, aquatic scent, the woods and musk keep this serious. It's office appropriate yet I would prefer this on a daytime/early evening date in late spring, early summer. Performance is good for this type of fragrance. This projects about arms length away for about a few hours, then transitioning into a scent where you could smell on your wrist a few inches away and smell it. It lasted about 4 hours before fading. I would also add that the sprayer is good on this. I prefer this over the original mankind, mainly due to performance and overall versatility. A solid fragrance, I prefer this over legend but if you own legend, getting this should wait til your legend is done. I wouldn't call this legends brother but maybe it's half brother who grew up around the cooler Pacific Ocean, around the water but not in it.

This is one of those fragrances if you spray more you get better performance. If you over spray this a little you'll get great sillage and about 7 hours longevity. The smell of this is timeless. It's a great modern scent that is great for the office or any situation in general. I would say this a bit too classy for teenagers, this is maybe a 20+ age range. It's also very fresh and green with good florals. It's well worth the money and you can blind buy this no problem. This is arguably the best in the line and it signifies that Kenneth Cole style. I prefer Ultimate over the others in the line to be honest and I own all of the others which are all good as well. You can't go wrong with Mankind Ultimate.

I don't know if this perfume is similar to a&b fierce or mb legend, but for it's own it's really amazing! I can feel the citruses combined with the watery notes per the opening, and while it's seems a bit harse at first, you are getting used to it. After 30 minutes to an hour this one turned into amazing mix of flowery woody smell, which will catch your nose and also the others around you. Will last all day. Good for any set, I'm really a fan.

90% similar to Mont Blanc Legend, but different enough to set it apart. Fresh and sweet fruity-woodsy fragrance with a modern vibe. Decent projection and longevity, but definitely a more intimate scent. Versatile too: I can't think of any occasion where this wouldn't fit in. My bottle has almost run out and I now have Mont Blanc Legend, but I would actually repurchase this stuff. 9/10.

Love this one. find fresh and clean, but a little spicy and sexy as well. It has the same vibe as Fierce and Legend, but IMO they DO NOT smell alike. actually quite versatile, maybe not for clubbing, but definitely office, casual, and dating appropriate. longevity good, but projection is it's Achilles heel...goes to skin scent quite quickly.

I get "poor man's" Bleu De Chanel vibes from this. Decent performance too for a super cheapie. Easy dumb reach fragrance

So I just blind bought this. With the comparisons to MB Legend and positive reviews I thought why not seeing as it just ran out of my 7th or 8th Legend bottle. Upon first spray, I was strongly reminded of Fierce. Not Legend. I tested both side by side and they're nothing alike. However, they are in the same family. Legend has fruits, citrus and wood. This doesn't come off as fruity or particularly woody. In essence it's more like Fierce Eau Fraiche. With a pronounced mint/cucumber almost aquatic accord. In my opinion this is a summer cologne style fragrance through and through. I get a slightly greenish, white woods, cucumber and mint. It in part reminds of Diors Cologne Royal also. I certainly think it is not a replacement for Legend which has been one of my favourites since I began wearing it in 2013. More of its own scent, within the Fierce, Legend, PE family. Piercing, fresh, cologne style fragrance. On clothes it lasts. I don't get huge projection from it. Maybe an arms length. I get occasional whiffs of it in the air up to about 6 hours. Straight out of the bottle it smells like Fierce with less woods, mint leaf and watery cucumber. Coming out slightly metallic like all its brothers. It dries down almost powdery. So it's quite interesting for this kind of fragrance. For summer this would be wonderful. Fresh, piercing, watery, minty, metallic. But for winter, it's not suitable in my opinion. It's a cold feeling scent. It smells like a cool breeze, wafting through a garden full of mint whilst raining cucumber droplets. Not exactly ideal for cold weather. Though would be suitable for indoor activities with a higher temperature. Good for sport, gym. Would be a good scent in a club, with its fresh and piercing qualities. Seems like good stuff though. But it's going to have to wait until summer for more wearings.

Wow, I absolutely love this fragrance. Maybe someone with more ability than me in scents can do this justice, but I'll give my review. I'm surprised this is so under the radar with only one review. Noting it was released in 2015. It opens with a refreshing blast of nice aquatic notes mixed with a luscious citrusy grapefruity scent. It's never too sweet and the drydown is a nice balanced blend of sandlewood, musk and oak moss. None of those dominate and for me it's the perfect drydown recipe. Put that together with the delicious, fresh opening that's not too sweet and for me I get a new favorite. I sprayed two times on the back of my wrist. Opening scents lasted about 1 - 2 hours and I could easily smell the scent a foot from my wrist. The drydown transitioned into the base notes a few hours into it and 8 hours later I'm still enjoying the nice smooth drydown, but am bringing my wrist to my nose to take it in. Chillz review mentioned it starts like Montblanc legend, which I sampled a couple of years ago and loved the opening, but did not like the drydown at all. As a disclaimer this cologne falls into my favorite genre as those with fresh, citrus and aqua notes, but this may be my favorite up there with Bvlgari aqva. If you enjoy these types of fragrances, you should love this.

Just got this in the mail today. So far I really like it, it's pretty much what I expected. I'm a big fan of the Mankind line so far (I have Legacy, Original, and Hero), so I felt pretty confident I'd like this. I've been looking for a good aquatic fragrance, but I'm not sure how long the aquatic note lasts in this one. Either way, this seems like a very easy to wear, kinda basic fragrance that would appeal to almost anyone. I'll have to update after a full wearing. Update: Ok so I've worn this a few times now. I think it has improved after sitting for a couple weeks. It feels more blended and balanced than before. At first the aquatic/fresh notes disappeared after only a few minutes. But now the fragrance is still very woody, but with a sort of vague watery freshness that lasts several hours. I think I also pick up some musk. I would say it's a little bit sexy, but overall very versatile. Year round, work, church, casual. The projection is soft which I like, very pleasant and inoffensive. I think every man needs a fragrance like this in his collection.

So I did choose to "Like" this fragrance but honestly it's only ok. To start off I do get a strong comparison to Fierce but this is not as strong and is a more fresh,woody take on Fierce. This smells about 85% like Fierce in the opening and the heart but in the drydown this goes more into a woody type of scent that gives this its own identity. And I do have to say I really enjoy the drydown in this and it's easily the best part of the fragrance ! Now, to all those asking if this is a good Cheap alternative to Fierce I do have to say it's a good replacement but to my nose the BEST alternative to Fierce is Playboy New York and it's also the cheapest and has about the same performance as Fierce as well. Performance--- Performance on this is above average as it lasts 6-8 hours but it has very weak projection even with extra sprays. Overall rating--- 6.5 out of 10 ! Good scent but nothing that really stands out.

Mankind Hero is my favorite from the line, but this one is pretty good, too. Mankind Hero just has a little more personality to it, as well as better longevity, but Mankind Ultimate is very pleasant. I can totally see the comparisons to Fierce/Legend, but it is a little different, with some of that Mankind DNA mixed into it. It lasts around 4-5 hours on me (not great), but has a decent sillage. All of this being said, I don't know that I would pay more than $25 for it. It's just not super unique and the quality is not amazing, but it's worth purchasing if you can find it for a low price.

I was given this cologne for my birthday and loved it , the first time I sprayed it on me somthing hit me and that was WOW this smells exactly like curve for men the little yellow bottle lol , it has nice citrusy smell to it

Very good woodsy aquatic cologne. Often see it compared to montblanc legend and A&F fierce, which I think it outperforms both, while also being fairly cheap. Lasts about 7-8hrs on me. 8/10

SOAPY CLEAN FRESH LIGHT-SPICY MUSKY KC Mankind Ultimate (KCMU) is of the modern "blue/bleu" genre, it has that soapy clean blue-aquatic bodywash vibe but the spice livens things up like in CD Sauvage (not as bold/loud as Sauvage), with a hint of fruity/citrus sweetness (not overly sweet which keeps this from being strictly a "younger" frag). Doesn't have a lot of depth however it does get slightly musky-clean-powdery as it dries and begins to smells more like the original KC Mankind which smells like MB Legend. i like the opening better but the dry also smells good; Starts off briefly like Dylan Blue + Luna Rossa Carbon/Sauvage (they smells of better quality and have more depth & projection than KCMU), Mid-Dry like the original KC Mankind or MB Legend; doesn't have monstrous projection but loud enough to be noticeable. You won't find many who don't like soapy clean frags, it's versatile works great in office or casually and any season/weather, decent modern designer "blue/bleu" frag; Projection/Sillage' is DECENT, provides a nice scent bubble around for 1-2 hour(s) or so then becomes close scent, indoor and in-close fragrance, lacks the projection to be noticed from a far. Performance/Longevity is GOOD on fabric last about 6-8 hours

Kenneth Cole Mankind Ultimate a flanker to the original Mankind stays true to the OG with a little much depth. At first spray it reminds me also of a Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce. Nostalgic because I was a huge fan of A&F Fierce back in the days. This scent is very likeable and pleasant, fresh on top and woodsy throughout the life of the scent. This is a perfect outer jacket scent, spray it on your favorite garments and enjoy wiffs throughout the day. It is a safe blind buy. Longevity: 3-5 hours (must re-apply) it stays longer on clothes Sillage : 1 hour (arms length) Value: Good $30 for 100ml

Fierce was my favorite when I was younger in my 20's, and since then I switched to Legend as I feel it is less sharp and much better price. I love the opening of Legend, but the dry down often smells a little off on my skin, but I love the fresh clean vibe it has. The opening only lasts a half hour, but Ultimate and even regular Mankind stays solid throughout the day. Easy reach if you like aromatic, citrus and slightly spicy type fragrances without any sharp or ultra sweet notes. I found original Mankind a couple years ago at a rack store and picked it up, glad I did as it is another "Safe" and fresh vibe for warm weather in Florida, but it became a little boring after time. Ultimate is now the main scent I wear, it is similar vibe to Legend, The opening is not the same, but overall, it has enough of a spice and has more personality in my opinion. I also prefer the dry down and it holds up well in heat, It works for me in any situation and does not have any inoffensive notes making it a solid choice and has an uplifting fresh feeling that makes it smell much more expensive than it is. It also lasts for a good 4-5 hours on my skin, is not something people are going to pick up if more than a few feet away, and even then it is not to loud and it simply smells good, and I get asked about this scent more than any other I have worn in the past few years. It works in any setting, versatile all year cologne for warm weather climates, this is a good cologne if you actually prefer not making a bold statement and possibly offending people around you since it does not have any unpleasant notes. I am far from an expert, I like what I like and wear what puts me in a better mood, and this is what I now grab just about every time I head outside. Great Gift for someone when you are not sure what to buy, it is masculine and not to sweet like others that are popular. This is under the radar and is different enough from Fierce,Legend to stand on it's on as a better alternative. Never really was a fan of Kenneth Cole even though I have liked Reaction and Black, performance was never great, but the Mankind line imo is much better quality than previous releases. All of them are good from legacy to Hero, Mankind is on the sweeter side, but Ultimate is just right. For $30 online, this is a steal and glad I found it because this site and others can make fragrances way to complex. It smells clean, fresh, masculine and holds up in the heat, not beast mode which I like, and super versatile and uplifting type of fragrance that is hard to imagine anyone not into fragrances not thinking you smell really good. Maybe it is Generic, but then again, for every Cologne people rave about, there are another 10 that are similar and if you are getting a ton of compliments wearing a beast mode spicy or sweet cologne, I guarantee you are offending just as many people for invading space with a loud fragrance. It is called ultimate, but not like wearing most Intense EDP versions of other fragrances. If it is generic, then I guess I like Generic, because Legend, Mankind Ultimate are simply fantastic creations even if inspired from others. Just about every fragrance is inspired by another, you can drive yourself crazy over analyzing every fragrance which I have done in the past....So if you like legend or Fierce, Percival and want a quality nice alternative that switches up the overall vibe, I put this in the same class....I realize Percival is much better quality to the trained nose, but to the 99.9 percent of people around you in every day life,this is going to smell the same.

I could care less if this is another fierce inspired frag, to me this is signature scent worthy and I reckon I can wear this all year round. At first it kinda reminded me of how lynx Africa smelt back in the 90s, the spicy notes of beckham homme and of course Abercrombie and fitch fierce. Settled down nicely, get the impression I’ll have to spray more with this but I’m fine with that. Quite light and airy but noticeable when I’m moving around. Edit: after a few more wearings I can say I absolutely love this! Very under the radar gem for me. I’d go as far as to say I actually enjoy this more than the real fierce which I also have. I was in a supermarket the other day after an 8 hour shift at work and I thought this was completely gone after about 3 hours, I walked down a chiller isle and got massive whiffs of this and it smelt just like fierce to my nose. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. This cost me just over £27 off eBay and I’d gladly stock up on it in case it disappears one days.

Blind buy to get some more into my fall collection. I enjoyed this scent and it is similar to Legend but projections more on my skin.

Yes definitely MB Legend and this smell alike, but this 1 last alot longer on my skin and projects much better than Legend.
