Aquatic Melon with Cotton Candy & Vetiver... This has a light & flirty aquatic summery feel, and I could imagine Jessica Simpson wearing this in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) which came out the same year. Opens with a fruity burst of melon & citrus with sweet, aquatic & fresh touches, that deepens into the floral heart with lily-of-the-valley, jasmine & orchid accented with ozonic touches from violet leaf. That all rests on the floral support base of white-amber, cotton candy, musk & vetiver. Vetiver here bringing some soft grassy & green touches, while cotton-candy brings a fluffy sweetness. Alongside all of this there's a faint but pleasant shampoo vibe. Has average performance for a light spring-summer wearing experience. Overall: beautiful ozonic, aquatic melon scent with fluffy sweetness and average performance. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Contrast to Ralph Cool Ralph Lauren: These are different, but there are striking similarities with ozonic melon & vetiver. Ralph Cool has a more forward yellow-floral accord. Roughly equivalent performance. Update 06/23/24: Sprayed this on my wrist today in search of the perfect into-the-blue type fragrance, and I think I found it in this one. When it's super hot outside, and you're dreaming of an azure blue oasis that soothes like an aloe-vera plant, this is a good one. Still a love.

I wore this perfume a few years ago and really liked it then. It's a mix of florals and citrus. Very feminine and pretty. Reminds me a lot of Clinique's Happy Heart. On me it starts with the a burst of florals and some melon. Don't detect any of the citrus until it hits the middle of the fragrance. As it settles, I strongly detect the florals but the warmth of the woods and some muskyness takes over. I get very little citrus in this (probably why it reminds me more of Happy Heart than the original Happy). Pleasant and nice for spring and summer. Comaparable to Peasures but far better, in my opinion. Very long lasting too. If you like anything floral and woody, then you will enjoy this. Update: I have recently started pairing this with Victoria's Secret VS Attractions Wild One lotion and spray. Wild One smells like lily's and raspberrys so it blends very nicely with Reaction for Her. I highly recommend this mix. You will smell very very sexy.

I originally purchased this almost two decades ago and I absolutely loved it. This is my type of freshie! A clean scent, with shampoo fruit cocktail and a light, bright musk. I have the newer version of this now and if memory serves me well, this used to have more of a sweeter dry down and I know it lasted longer. You can find it at a reasonable price and so I use it like a fragrance mist. This makes a great little scent bubble around you for about an hour, then a clean skin scent. It is one of my favorite clean, freshie scent because smells beautiful ❤️ it is not some sort of home cleaning products, soap, or laundry type. More like shampoo. Reminds me of a herbal essence type scent. Imo this doesn't smell like the original happy heart but it definitely reminds me of happy and happy heart. If you like those, you would probably like this better. People always complemented me when I wore the older version to work.

This perfume is finally back at Kenneth Cole outlet stores! Reaction For Her was my favorite fragrance 10 years ago, when I started college. Spritzing this tonight brought back so many good memories of 2005 -- back when I purchased a Kenneth Cole black pencil skirt suit, was elected VP of the student government association and had so much fun trying new things with new friends. Yes, it's a young scent, but I still feel comfortable wearing it today even though I've progressed to classic, more sophisticated perfumes. The bottle is different, but the scent is the same... and so are the happy, confident, hopeful feelings I get when I'm wearing this.

Kenneth Cole Reaction is creating a reaction, the gym receptionist went WOW something smell good! Jajaja I did not say anything I was surprised for this reaction as I can't smell the perfume on myself. My hubby loves it he says smells so clean somehow a little bit like DKNY Be Delicious which is one of my top five favorites perfume. Ladies I am getting a lot great compliments, I am very surprised I am happy with this perfume is simply fresh and it lasted at least 6 to 7 hours on me I must say that I am a big sucker for clean scents perfumes. I think I nailed this one as it was a blind buy.

This is making me think of that wonderful JR Watkins shampoo,conditioner, body wash that you only find in hotels! We stayed in a hotel a couple years back and they had this wonderful shampoo that after our stay I was just a little obsessed with finding that scent again but it was made for hotels only. Sad. But, this is giving me that scent memory! Yay!!! I've been wearing this a bunch lately! Ooh it is so good! It's fresh and clean and uplifting! It just brings happiness into my day.

Finally I got the chance to try this scent, and I ́ve love it!, it ́s fresh, young, elegant, floral, feminine, not sweet at all, just delicious! I felt in love with this perfume, I thik it ́s pretty similar to Tommy Girl, but it ́s Eau the parfum so stay longer than tommy girl. This is the kind of scent that make me happy. 9/10 (only 'cause my top favorite is Cliniqe Happy Heart)

I want to buy this perfume, but I've never smelled it! I like this one, because all the fruity notes, but I have no idea if the notes make a good scent together, please some one give me a clue!

Fresh, flirty but not overpowering. I love to spritz this after a shower and in my hair. If you don't like fresh & flirty - this isn't for you.

Oh my GOSH this is one of the cleanest perfumes ever! It's exceedingly fresh and smells like the air after a shower with nice body wash. It's ozonic for sure, and I actually don't smell any melon here whatsoever. It's not that it isn't necessarily fruity, but when I see "melon" I typically think of B&BW Cucumber Melon, and this isn't the same sort, it's not even in the same county. It's a completely different sort, so if you dislike CM, don't dismiss this on that basis. The fruits are extremely watery, this a very *wetly* textured perfume. I don't know how else to describe the experience. The LOTV is very nicely placed, and it's not a floral bomb, but again...just ridiculously clean. I think this would be a fantastic gym fragrance if you underspray. Hell, it makes me *want* to hit the gym 😂 🏋️♀️ So. Fresh.

strong at the initial spray but after few minutes, the drydown turns into a fresh, slightly sweet, feminine, and elegant scent. on my skin the musk and floral notes are more dominant than the melon. i use it sparingly with cautious since it could be overpowering, 2-4 sprays would last on me the whole day. if you like spicy and aquatic floral, you will love this. but if you're looking for something unique, you may skip this because it has similarity with some other signatured perfumes available in the market but definitely, this one has a better lasting power compared to those. i can see an office lady, wearing coat and heels very busy with her career wearing this.

I love fruity smells, I love dkny be delious, I love Nina. I love this one.Reaction for her is extremely fruity at start, I can understand lot of people dont like fruity scents and get headaches. But those who love it, should give it a try. The smell is fresh, vibrant , the apple hint is very mild. strawberry and melon scent is more dominant. But the best part is yet to come,after setlles in you skin .. the smell is musly and floral. All fruity notes diminish to make way for lot of musky floral notes. The bottle is just a regularglass bottle, nothing fancy. I use it for hot summer days, and its pretty refreshing.

Received this for Mother's Day in a sample set along with KC White and Black. Gosh, I WISH I smelled watermelon in this, I adore watermelon. What I do get is a fresh blast of sparkling apple - kind of what a glass of cold fizzy apple water might smell like. It's a refreshing scent, for sure. As it mellows, it warms up a bit and gets more cozy, but I also really want to get the cotton candy dry-down...alas, I can't find that, either. If there's a watermelon/cotton candy scent out there, I am going to find it. To me, this isn't it, but it's nice as is!

Second bottle, but I can't wear it, my nose goes crazy. I sneeze. but its a gorgeous scent. A mix of Kenzo l'eau Par and Kenzo D'ete in my opinion. Very fresh with white flowers, melon, musk and amber. Wonderful for summertime. Andra flaskan men jag kan inte bära den alls. Jag nyser som en tok, men det är en underbar doft. En mix av Kenzo L'eau Par och Kenzo D'ete om du frågar mig. Otroligt fräscha vita blommor med lite melon, musk och amber. Ljuvlig att bära under sommaren.

One of my favorites for regular use. It's not too expensive and does the job very well. It's more floral than fruity on my skin. I think the smell is a crafted mix of maturity and youth. It has good longevity and the sillage is great too. But, put on a little too much, and it may offend some people. My husband loves it on me. We don't agree on many fragrances, but we did on this one. That explains why I got another bottle after finishing the first one!

Reaction is nice but I can barely smell it even nose to skin after about a half hour. It's all it claims to be, fruity, floral, slightly aquatic. It's clean and pleasant. It is sweet which I think comes more from the fruit than cotton candy because it's a natural sweet, not sugary sweet. Musk, I can't find that one. It's pretty light, good for the summer heat but the performance is not there.

Soft, ozonic, beachy... The melon hint does something to feel almost like you're lounging near the dunes on a hot summer day and have a very refreshing breeze and cold beverage in your hand. Great clean summer scent for going out shopping, running errands, or going to the gym and you don't want to save your heavy hitters for a better purpose. Delightful.

A great summerscent. On me this reminds me of L'eau par Kenzo - twice stronger... Wonderful, fresh, crisp and clean. Great for daytime. Härlig sommardoft. På mig doftar denna som L'eau par Kenzo -dubbelt så starkt- Jättehärlig, fräsch, krispig, blommig utan att vara söt. Härlig dag-doft.

I love this perfume but it disappears almost instantly! I have about 1/3 of an old bottle left, and I think it lasts longer. The new one I got a few months ago only stays noticeable for about 30 minutes, then fades to a barely detectable skin scent.

Sorry to be crude, but it just hit me...this smells like one of the scented pads that ladies use once a month. If I didn’t have that association, this might be a more enjoyable fragrance, but now that I’ve realized it, that’s all I can think of.

Reaction was my signature in about 2008. I've owned 3 bottles in my lifetime, a 1.7 and a 3.4 oz. and now I have a 3.4 oz which I wear when I don't know what fragrance to put on-which is hardly ever.

I tested this in a local department store, but it was in a different bottle. Anyway, the fragrance is so attractive. It's very light and fruity and adorable. Love it.

Its affordable and you get your moneys worth if what you are looking for is a fresh fruity aquatic scent perfect for the gym or right after shower when you want to keep yourself cool and refreshed. What does it smell like? its an all encompassing aquatic fresh feminine scent, its kinda tropical-ish and aquatic those familiar with what frutiger aero is imagine that aesthetic had a feminine fragrance, this would be it. If i had to describe it by parts i would say that fruits are there at the front and center specially the watermelon and grapefruit , the flowers are undistinguishable except for the orchid which blends with the fruits, those base notes exist only because they named them but in the fragrance itself it just i don't smell any of them. And there you go! i feel like its like one of those fragrances that feel positive, fun and active! i use this at the gym so i also associate it with just energy and freshness.

This is not a review so much as a musing - possibly correction? Kenneth Cole Reaction for her NEVER had cotton candy listed in the notes in past. Nor does it smell of cotton candy - at least not the old school bottles I've owned. Cottonwood was listed in the notes in past. I know this because when I read cottonwood bells went off and I immediately thought of my old apartment building which was by rows of cottonwood - very distinctive smell. Which makes way more sense (scents ha ha) when you actually sniff it! Its light, clean, fruity, but it does have a distinct cottonwood aroma.

This scent reminds me of almost every magazine perfume insert from the early 2000s (not in an entirely bad way, but it doesn't make me want to reach for it, often). The opening is very pleasantly ozonic and fresh, heavy on the melon, with present apple and floral (especially violet). On me, the dry down settles into a primarily sweet melon scent with sillage at about an arms length. I think I may enjoy this for an outdoor spring adventure, or an occasional summer picnic, but it is not something that I would pull for often.

This scent is just meh for me. At first sniff the alcohol is very strong, gives me headaches. But once it settles it is very soft, clean, but also smells synthetic. It has a poor sillage, at least on my skin. Nothing special for me. I only use it when I do excercise, or for a daily use when I stay in home. I classify it in my sporty scents group.

Smells synthetic and very melon-y. I do believe the top notes listed on this page are accurate, but the weird mix of whatever this synthetic smell is makes it off-putting. I feel like you might as well buy Burberry "Her" EDT for la crème de la crème of this scent palette.

It’s nice and incredibly strong; definitely something to wear occasionally. I can smell melon, but overtime it smells very floral and clean.

Um... the picture is different than the pink bottle, and the pink bottle list these notes: Top Notes: Pink Grapefruit, Mandarin, Lush Kiwi, and Watermelon. Mid Notes: Lily of the Valley, White Orchids, Poppy Flowers, Violet Petals, and Sweet Pea. Base Notes: Cottonwood, Musk, Delicate White Amber, and Sleek Vetiver. So I can only assume that these are different versions? I’ve never smelled this perfume before but it sounds nice.

I can honestly say that I tried to like it (a friend of mine wore it) but I just could not.If it`s fruits, then those fruits are just a bit overripe. If flowers - they already started to wilt. It smells cheap and ordinary for me, and I could not find anything special in the base either.Altogether it gave me the impression of an ambitious air freshener... There are thousands of cheap perfumes just like this one out there!

This fragrance didn't develop as nicely on my skin as I had hoped. The only top note I got was grapefruit, mixed with heart notes of lily of the valley and jasmine. I got some vetiver in the base, and that was it. My personal opinion is that the fragrance needs more sweet fruits in the top notes, more soft orchid in the heart, and more musk and cotton candy/cotton flower in the base.

It was not nice. I don’t know if the bottle I received was bad, or something, but this is the most foul, putrid smelling perfume I have ever smelled. It smells like some cats peed in a garden, and then someone decided to wear it as perfume. Not fruity, not fresh, smells straight up like flowers and cat urine. Needless to say, I’m very disappointed :(

I liked the first citrus/fruity notes and the floral that came next but then it morphed on me. I got a powdery element and something I couldn't quite place except that it gave me a headache & made me feel nauseous. It's like I liked the dominant scent but the one/s behind it/complimenting it ruined it for me.

I wanted to try this when I heard it had melon and watermelon notes. I am not a big fan fruity florals and this seems to be one of them. Smells almost like a watermelon/melon SYRUP..:))

It smells like so many other fruity florals. Like people already mentioned: Happy by Clinique, Romance by Lauren and many more. Quite a boring scent.

This is another blind buy that, unfortunately, didn’t work out for me, though the disappointment is more muted than dramatic. It does reinforce a frustrating pattern, though: truly good ozonic or aquatic fragrances seem far easier to find on the masculine side, while many feminine “watery” scents veer cheap and plasticky. This one sadly falls into that camp. I’ve lived with this perfume for nearly seven months now and given it every fair chance, testing it in both warm and cold weather. My experience has stayed consistent. On my skin, it opens as a bland, sweetly synthetic scent and then collapses quickly into a vague, powdery nothing within five minutes of application. I struggle to identify any distinct floral, fruity, or green facets, it never really takes shape. Instead, it remains flat and anonymous, leaving very little impression beyond a sense of missed potential. It’s not offensive, just deeply unremarkable, and I find myself wishing I could send it back and put the money toward something more considered. Unfortunately, this is one I can’t recommend. Sometimes a perfume just isn’t meant to be, and that’s okay. You move on, a little wiser, and hope the next blind buy is kinder.

When I first spray this perfume, I find the floral notes to dominate over the fruity ones. The only fruity notes I get from this perfume on my skin from beginning, middle to end... is apple. A DKNY'ish type of an apple. I do not get any watermelon, I do not get any raspberry, nor do I get any canteloupe. I'm a bit disappointed because I adore watermelon and canteloupe scented perfumes. Oh well. On initial spray I get apples, lily of the valley and Jasmine and some type of a soapy concoction, almost like shampoo. As time passes and the perfume settles into my skin and begins to fade, the orchid and violet leaf begin to emerge giving it that slight powdery scent. It's not overly powdery, but just a smidge. Also the citrus notes begin to emerge as well, mixed with the apple. I notice cotton candy to be a note somehere in Reaction, but I do not detect this note anywhere in the perfume. Longevity is decent, but I believe that it wears best in warmer weather. It's not a bad perfume, but I have other favorites. I prefer Bath and Body Works Beautiful Day for an apple kind of scent over Kenneth Cole's Reaction; however I would choose Reaction over DKNY's Be Delicious. Also, it smells NOTHING similar to Clinique Happy Heart or Clinique Happy. If I had to put it into a perfume family, I'd put it right up there with DKNY Be Delicious. It doesn't smell exactly like it but the intense apple in both perfumes makes them related in my opinion. But as I mentioned before, Reaction smells better because it's mixed with other notes, like florals, whereas Be delicious is straight up tangy green apple to me.

I've always been really into fresh, clean, bright, and feminine smelling fragrances. So when I sampled this as a body spray at a local clothing store, I realized this was right up my alley and came home and ordered the EDP online. I would say the scent is nothing out of the ordinary, but something nice and casual that you can wear everyday. It's not extremely fruity, but a nice mix of fruity and floral. Has a soapy/shampoo quality to it that I have always liked in my fragrances. There is a slight sweet and tartness in it that makes it feel young, energizing, and juicy. I'd put it in the same ball park as DKNY Be Delicious or Paris Hilton, but this one is a little more elegant. It does have a spring/summer vibe to it, but I think it would smell crisp and fresh in colder months as well! All in all, if you enjoy fresh scents, I would consider this a safe buy that won't offend anyone. Seems to have good lasting power and silliage, I could smell it on my skin even after a shower.

A nice mix between a youthful and a more grown up scent. It's not as fruity as I expected it to be. The first few seconds I could definitely smell the grapefruit and a hint of watermelon but that quickly went away in a couple of minutes. Then it developed into a VERY floral smell that was obnoxious at first but faded into a more tolerable smell. I don't see how it smells like Ralph Lauren Romance because all that smelled like was rose and it smelled a little too mature for my liking while this was more youthful and fun. It overall is a good perfume, although I prefer more fruity and younger scents this was still good. It was strong during the first hour or so but it quickly faded. It does stay on all day just very faint after the first couple of hours. Oh and it DOESN'T smell like clinique happy AT ALL. I absolutly hate that perfume because it's way too citrus-ey and spicy and this is more floral and slightly fruity.

Reaction isn't the kind of perfume that is actually going to provoke a strong reaction in most people, I think! It's a pleasant fruity / floral perfume, like many others, but just doesn't stand out as being anything special for me. I think Takeasniff is right that it is slightly sour, which may be the grapefruit and green apple notes, but on me it's not unpleasantly sour, it just means that the perfume isn't overly sweet. I can't really smell the raspberry in it which, for me, is a letdown. I quite like this but certainly not enough to want to have a full bottle (I just have a mini of it at the moment). I can recommend it though to fruity / floral perfume lovers but anyone wanting a knock 'em dead kind of fragrance should definitely pass this one by!

Well, I love it! I find boring Kenzo L'eau par and Clinique Happy, but Reaction is not too similar with them fortunately. This frag is not only a clean scent and not only a flower bouquet, it is a perfect mix both of them with a little sweetness of fruits. Fortunately it is not sugary at all: ageless perfume,very feminine. I love the design of the bottle too: simple and elegant,unique: it is nice on every shelf. I also love the staying power:it means long-long hours on me with the same intensity. How can be a frag so PERFECT?! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I'm sceptical about Clinique Happy-Kenzo L'eau par type perfumes, but Reaction is impressed me and I think I will never find it boring at all, because Reaction is a different kind of frag for me.

Honestly I get no cotton candy smell! So it’s a disappointing fragrance for me because it’s the main reason why I was drawn to this fragrance. I mainly get the aquatic notes on myself. It’s like a clean bar of soap. I’m also getting a lot of melon notes. Think like a dry shampoo how it’s clean and fresh smelling. Not exactly the kind of fragrance I’m drawn to. This is a loud fresh fragrance. Like almost soapy smelling on me that I just can’t really embrace this scent. It’s hardly sweet on me, and I was expecting this to be like a Pink Sugar with a little less sweet in your face. I don’t hate it, but also I don’t love it. So I think I’ll just be wearing this late at night and layering this with other sweet scents.

The fruit, floral, musky cleanness of this with the slight sparkle of candy sweetness made this a successful blind buy for me. I bought it on clearance in a gift set with lotion after Christmas from CVS or Walgreens and it was a wonderful, youthful and chic but playful and sophisticated perfume for going out. It lasted forever and I got compliments on it. I would love to come across it again. It held me down when I needed something affordable that smelled expensive. Fond memories of this perfume.

I find this smells very strong and sour almost like wine. I know that sounds different to what everyone else has said but does anyone find it too sour. I wish I could like it because I have the other kenneth cole fragrance and that I like. I have a huge bottle of this and I struggle to use it because I feel self concious as though it smells too sour or is that how it is supposed to smell?

Why are people saying it smells like Romance and Happy? I've used both of those and this smells nothing like those two. This is a very long lasting bouquet of flowers. It is slightly sweet at first but I would not describe it as sweet like Romance or Happy. This is very floral and ageless. Wonderful perfume if you like florals and lasts very long.

The initial spray is quite heady to my nose. Its primarily melon witha hint of floral. Very similar to Clinique Happy Heart. More of a younger genre scent. nice but maybe the younger people can appreciste this better. to me its very ordinary. Nothing special. Seems like i would smell this on every other girl in my office.

Shrill floral migrane inducer in the fashion of E.A. Splendor. Update: Even closer to Liz Claiborne Curve. My bottle is pink with a metallic pink cap. Is it the same formula? OK, maybe I was a little too harsh. Now I find this to have an old-fashioned feel to it. Mature like Fifth Avenue, but passable.

I used to love this one very much. Have they reformulated the perfume with the new bottle? Now I am a quite disappointed :( the eau de parfum doesn't last ANYTHING on my skin, and the scent is sweeter and has practically no floral on it :( Used to rated it a solid 8, now I rate it 6. :(
