6 Ciro

I love Kiton clothes, so I was excited to try their fragrances. This is hard to find at discounters, so when a bottle popped up on eBay for $200 with just a few sprays missing, I finally made my blind buy. I don't think the reviews describe well how I perceive this, but it's still a relatively safe blind buy. Put simply, this is a marginally more masculine, slightly spicy, and a touch more medicinal (maybe from oud) version of MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait. Wearing them side-by-side, I personally prefer BR540E by a small amount, but BR540E technically is a bit cheaper per ML from discounters, so it would be a great replacement for it. Performance is quite good: all day and with nice projection/sillage. The oud is very "Western" and again, on the medicinal and easy to wear side of the spectrum. My wife doesn't care a lot about fragrances and has pretty basic tastes for them. She likes this one and immediately agreed it smells very similar to BR540. She had the same assessment that Baccarat was slightly better. This fragrance is upscale and would make a great signature scent, wearable anywhere and any season, but does favor the cold a little more in my opinion since it is a little heavy. Definitely is a bit mature (e.g. age 25+). I personally think it's unisex, leaning masculine. Overall, I'm glad I got it. It's a high quality fragrance, albeit I must admit it comes across kinda synthetic. Not necessarily a bad thing. Is it worth its full retail price of $340 USD? To me, no... I think there are more interesting things to be had for the same or less money. It's similar in quality to many fragrances generally around that price point, but wouldn't be my first choice if having to spend that much. 9/10.

Wonderful fragrance. A very powdery and luxurious scent, yet highly sophisticated, with saffron, oud, and musk cutting through. This has the potential to be a signature everyday fragrance due to its versatility. However, I would say it matches very well with suits and office attire, as well as date nights. The scent radiates through clothing, and you will receive compliments from it. I would not blind buy this fragrance, however. This fragrance is not for everyone.

It was the most unique oud leather scent I've ever bought, but €300 was a bit pricey. I can't give a specific example that would remind you of it or resemble it, but you can easily sense the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather vibe. It's a clean, deep, very dark green, and quite unique perfume. I think it's suitable for general taste. I think it's an overlooked perfume. 8.5/10

Incredible scent. If you can find a sample/tester display of this juice it is worth a spray. Absolutely glorious

6 Ciro is very good. It is my second favorite out of the five currently available fragrances. Red is my favorite - a sweet, powdery oriental musk in the same family as Van Cleef and Arpels Midnight In Paris, Prada's Cargo de Nuit, Lalique Black and White and Prada Luna Ross Black. Vesuvio, Colonia Napoletana and Riva Fiorita are not good, in my opinion. I would not wear any of those even if they were given to me for free, let alone at their outrageous current retail price of $340. These three absolutely do not smell like they are worth half of $340. If you want to spend $340 on a high end line designer fragrance, go with Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, YSL, Chanel, or Dior. Even a couple of the Celine, Carolina Herrera, Fendi and Rabanne high end line fragrances are better options compared to Vesuvio, Colonia Napoletana and Riva Fiorita. I am leaving off the new Valentino high end line because I tried all of them and they were all a disappointment to me. But Kiton 6 Ciro and Kiton Red are competitive against similarly priced fragrances from the houses I mentioned above. Regarding 6 Ciro, it is a synthetic but pleasant, designer entry-level oud fragrance. The oud is extremely soft, mild, smooth, well blended, non-offensive, Westernized, powdery and easy to wear. 6 Ciro reminds me of a milder, softer, more unisex Brioni EDP Intense mixed with the Kiton Red powdery Musky/Coumarin/Tonka DNA. 6 Ciro's projection and sillage are average. Longevity is below average, especially for an "oud fragrance". I give 6 Ciro an 8/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.2.

The accords listed are spot on. This scent is in the same vein as baccarat rouge 540, tiziana terenzi spirito fiorentino or mancera instant crush or Matiere Premiere's Crystal Saffron. I had only seen 1 or 2 reviews on youtube and thought based on the reviews here that Id have liked this a but more honestly. This scent DNA is for particular occasions and not as versatile unless youre wearing more formal wear as a middle aged or older gentlemen. I did receive a compliment from wearing this, but I personally do not enjoy a particular aspect of it. Perhaps its the jasmine and oud combo that creates that 'old' powdery sense? I generally tend to like powdery accords in fragrance but something in this makes the powderiness smell dated. The presentation and bottle are very classy and the projection/longevity are abive average in my wearing.

Very powdery with strokes of saffron and musk. I like it. Its very mysterious. Definitely a serious fragrance - there's absolutely nothing fun or playful about it. But in its severity its quite sexy. I could see James Bond rocking this in a Tom Ford tuxedo.
