Abscond

I do like a good mystery, which is why I treat myself to a sample of this from Notino. After many hours Googling it turns out there isn't any proper reviews of this anywhere. No indication of the ingredients or accords. Even on the Kolmaz website any description seems deliberately vague - "This is expressive along with being emphatically delighting fragrance which touches the soul of everybody". Yes well, that's helpful. So, passed over my pennies and got a 5ml sample in the post. First spray and I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't know quite what I was expecting but it wasn't this. A warm, sweet, slightly synthetic fruitiness. Of the fragrances I had to hand it reminded me a little of Hollister Festival Vibes, but without the pineapple; or a bit like Jimmy Choo Man Intense, or even Valentino Uomo Born In Roma (but not as bubblegummy). If I had to I would say it's created to smell like it's from the Invictus stable. As this fruitiness settles the lavender comes to the fore. Under this there's a slight pepper kick and a distictive hint of leather. Licorice? Very possibly. The drydown is a light cedar mossy with what I'm sure is myrrh. I hope one day to get a definitive ingredient list, but putting my inexperienced nose on the line I would say it contains: Fruity Notes Juniper Berries Blackcurrants Lavender Pink Pepper Licorice Labdanum Cedar Moss Olibanum Myrrh Longevity isn't too bad. 2 sprays to the neck gave me about 5 hours, although it's quite light after 3 hours. Sillage is also moderate. In summary Kolmaz Abscond is a fruity and fresh sweet lavender fragrance. I thought I liked it, but no, I think I love it :)

Got a sample the other day. I didn’t know anything about this scent or the brand, for that matter. It’s not a clone of Invictus but there are obvious similarities. Abscond is sweet and fresh but not as fresh as Invictus or Invictus Aqua. Imo this can be a good spring/summer/fall kinda scent. Performance seems to be quite good as well. I really like this one!
