This is burbery godess in the opening and burbery godess in the late drydown. The in-between is a weird synthetic mess that is heavy and unappealing. I'll let it in the drawer and wait to see if it gets better after being opened. Check out the rival, noblesse royale from caline, it's lighter, more feminine-floraly and ready to play out of the box.

I have been lookind for a dupe for Goddess a while. When I spotted the cream colored box resembling Goddess box, I knew La Rive finally made a Goddess-dupe. I bought it instantly. As for the scent, it sure resembles Goddess, but not enough to replace it. Goddess is rounder and warmer. Her Empire starts off fine, but once the initial vanillic notes settle, I smell the artificial, chemical, stinging note that several of the perfumes from La Rive have. It dominates unfortunately the rest of the dry down, and is the reason why it can not be a fully good enough replacement for delicious, creamy Goddess. It is pretty, for sure, and will definitely appeal to many people. Not as a dupe, but on its own.
