In Woman Red

Elegant, refreshing, youthful, feminine... These characteristics come to mind while smelling this :) I tested Armani Si Passione side by side with this, and I'm happy to report they are practically the same (on my skin). Even in performance. This starts with burst of tart, soft-peppery fruits: mostly blackcurrant and slowly develops into a soft-rose and almond-like heliotrope (can't smell any jasmine). Within the hour the scent becomes more ambery, vanilla on my skin, but still retains the juicy blackcurrants. Sweet yet crisp, perfect for warmer weather. Fully agree with the reviewer underneath: this has great projection especially during the first hour, and the longevity on my skin is 5-6 hours before fading to nothingness. Verdict: A safe blind buy for fans of Si Passione, tart blackcurrants, clean yet slightly-gourmand scents. Suitable for all occasions including office in hotter weather. Subtly flirty, refreshing and crowd-pleasing

So I bought La Rive In Woman Red because it was said to be a good dupe for Armani Si Passione, and It kind of is. The opening is sweeter but really similar with Si Passione, however it’s much lighter and lacking the depth that makes Si Passione Si Passione. Not to say that In Woman Red is bad, it’s a good scent on its own and I like it. And don’t pass this up when you first spray it, you need to give it time to air out and develop a bit before it shows it’s true color. Good cheapie.

I love this, the only thing I wish is that it lasted longer. It opens with currant, and perhaps it is the color of the bottle influencing me here, but to my nose this smells like red currants, just picked and ready to make into jam. Nice and tart, this was a pleasant surprise. It fades into a woody vanilla scent much too quickly for my taste, which is nice enough, but even that fades very quickly. It would be a love if the longevity was better.

the longevity is nonexistent, it was gone from my skin after an hour, and on a test strip it was gone seemingly as soon as it dried. It’s pleasant enough for the price for sure, and I’m rather impressed with the La Rive fragrances I’ve experienced to date. It does last longer if you spray quite a bit.

Nice Fresh en fruity smell in the beginning, more warmth in the ending. Doesn't have the same depth as Si passione. Would say a lighter version of Si passione more for wearing during the daytime.
