11 11 Vanilla

I've smelled the original Lake & Skye 11 11 that's a less vanilla, more ozonic, mineral, or marine version of Byredo Gypsy Water, a lemony-pine woody vanilla. Lake & Skye 11 11 Vanilla is like the original with a touch of gourmand sweetness. Initially, something about 11 11 Vanilla was off to me and didn't blend. Like my stomach wanted to get queasy even if it didn't. I've since tested some more and I now love it lol! I feel like this will work best in warmth and heat so I can't wait for spring to amp up. Indoors when it's cool is not so bad either. The cheap cleaner/rubbing alcohol/lemon-piney gin/cotton candy clashing smell I got before, now just smell like clean aldehydes, salted tropical watery fruit, and a musky marshmallow vanilla. Amazing and girly. Moderate projection, kind of far reaching than moderate tbh, until the 4th hour mark when it becomes criminally faint. Lasts about 6 hours on me. I guess I'm opposite from some reviews saying they can't smell it at all right after spraying it. For comparisons: Smells like a better version of Clean Reserve Skin that was getting too sweet and cloying from the praline, clashing with the salt on me. Since they're both clean fragrances, I'll stick with this. 11 11 Vanilla also is lighter than Clean Reserve Whipped Cherry that has this similar watery fruit vibe with sweetness from vanilla and praline. The cherry was getting too sweet and syrupy as it sat, and wouldn't have worked in spring and summer for me. It also came off as cleaner too, and being thicker than 11 11 made that aspect stronger.

This is one of the best examples I have come across of "smells entirely different on skin than on paper." On paper, I smelled... nothing. I wasn't sure if i was just noseblind to it or what, but I couldn't smell a thing. I put my sample aside and forgot about it. Got curious tonight and sprayed it onto my wrists... I'm in love. What a lovely, well-balanced fragrance! So intimate and soft, but with fresh notes from the salt and starapple. As a whole, the scent gives soft, fresh, sweet, with salt that slides through the scent and tones down the marshmallow and vanilla notes. The notes on here are surprisingly accurate; if I smell it and think of each one separately, I can pick out each note, but they're so well-balanced and subtle that you don't really focus on one as a whole, besides maybe the sharp freshness of the salt off the bat. Don't trust the smell on a blotter card. Spray it directly onto your skin. Edit: after wearing my sample for a few days, I couldn't help but get a full bottle. Whenever I wear this, people say "it smells so good, but I can't tell what it is." Someone said "neon lights, 80s bar," another said "clean and sweet," and no matter how far off or right on they are, all I know is, I'm with them: I can't stop sniffing myself. One of the most addictive fragrances I have EVER come across. So glad I gave this a chance on skin and clothes instead of paper. My life is forever changed, I swear.

I love this scent so much! It's become a signature scent for me this winter :) It has the original 11 11 DNA, but is less ozonic and is definitely sweeter. I love the original 11 11 and love wearing it when I want a super fresh/clean smell, but sometimes I want to smell cozier than the original 11 11 achieves for me. I would say that if you love 11 11 but found it to be a bit austere or more unisex than suits your preference, try 11 11 Vanilla! It's warmer, sweeter, softer, and very inviting. The star apple and sea salt really shine upon first spray and the notes come across as a fresh, airy, sweet musk. After a while of wearing it, the vanilla, marshmallow, and passionflower become more prominent and the perfume becomes the most cozy, warm, sweet, understated yet girly, musky skin scent. It's like wearing a warm hug as a perfume. It sits very close to the skin, but I get wafts of it throughout the day while wearing it. It lasts much longer if sprayed on my clothes than it does on my skin, which I don't mind. It lasts longer and still smells amazing if layered on top of the original 11 11 perfume oil! That's what I do for my everyday combo :) I adore this scent profile, it's subtle and natural and I feel like it's versatile enough to wear year round. I've been loving it for fall and can see myself wearing it into the winter as well.

This is what I wish JHAG Vanilla Vibes was!! Super airy, subtly sweet vanilla-- the same DNA of the OG 11 11 but it's like the vanilla forgot it was supposed to come early and ran in at just the right time. The salt and star apple is so crisp and unique at the top. It's the perfect combination of sweet and fresh. It's like that feeling of taking a huge bite into a nice cold plum. The marshmallow and vanilla take a while to come out, and when they do, it's quite subtle. Do not expect the gourmand sugarbomb of your dreams-- that crispy fresh star apple DNA is still very present. More like you just squeezed it and you're getting the nectar smell and there's some warm marshmallows in the next room. As I smell myself the vanilla becomes richer bit by bit but never overpowers. I like it! I absolutely ADORE the star apple note in this, I think it's so unique and I'd love to see it in more fragrance. My love for this fragrance has only gotten stronger as time goes on as I revisit this page in September 2025, I fall in love with something else about this perfume every day...

this is the most gorgeous perfume i’ve ever had!! i bought a travel size a few months ago and within a month it was gone. 11 11 vanilla is a stunning mix of an ozonic, aldehydic background and a light, airy vanilla. imagine taking a morning everything shower with vanilla products, picture a vanilla shower gel from philosophy, and then slipping into a fresh, clean lounge set straight from the dryer. the vanilla is subtle, but there. i love the original 11 11, but it was always missing something, and 11 11 vanilla is the exact perfume i was looking for. it doesn’t have great longevity or projection, but it literally smells like heaven. overall, 1000/10, -1 point for the longevity :)

This is the kind of perfume that ends up being a signature scent, it's SO GOOD! It's a clean musk scent with a hint of vanilla/marshmallow. Its an effortless jeans & tshirt type of scent. The lasting power isn't great, but I liked it enough to buy the perfume oil to boost it. This works in cold and hot weather for me. I reach for this when I can't figure out what I want to wear and it never fails to impress me. I have a pretty big perfume collection and I don't have anything else quite like this, can't say enough good things about it. It was love at first sniff :)

When I first sprayed this in-store, I wasn't impressed because it smelled too generic with a slightly sour note. But first impressions aren't everything. After letting the perfume settle, you smell subtle saltiness and an aquatic note, which blends beautifully with the advertised "airy marshmallow vanilla" essence of 11 11 Vanilla. This isn't a true gourmand. It's more of a clean vanilla scent without any powderiness. It's exactly what I wished Dulce by Rosie Jane smelled like, and I'll definitely be going back to purchase it.

This is my new signature, and backup bottle worthy! I have only sampled the original, and I liked it, but I prefer softer fluffier scents. This is exactly that; a pink fluffy version of the original. I get the star apple first, then a creamy musk. The drydown is a mesmerizing airy marshmallow with a hint of salt. Sweet and feminine, but still very clean and musky. My only complaint is I have to spray more than usual, and there's very little projection, but I don't mind that for a skin scent.

What the label says! The original 11 11 clearly comes through, but only from underneath a soft, fluffy layer of vanilla musk. Then the star apple and sea salt briefly come off a little strangely savory-sour maybe? They've grown on me somewhat. And those moments pass, and overall, 11 11 Vanilla is really enjoyable. As much as I was convinced, though, that this might be a new signature, I think I still like 11 11 on its own more, and my favorite vanilla fragrances on their own

I love how versatile this is. Its a great daytime fragrance for any situation in any season. I love the original 11:11 but was mixing it with a vanilla oil. With the addition of this. I dont have to do that anymore. I suggest using both the oil & spray for better sillage & longevity. Its a warm comforting, sophisticated, marine vanilla, not too artificial or cloyingly sweet. The hint of marshmallow adds the sugar & the musk is gentle & warm.

This is a clean girl vanilla. I really do like this. Of all the 1111 perfumes, vanilla is my favorite. It smells cozy but very clean. If you wish to smell indescribable, yet very detectable then pick this up! This would be an amazing signature scent. I smelled it in store and immediately had to purchase. It’s like a clean marshmallow. A cozy, clean, ozonic pink marshmallow cloud of vanilla.

This perfume is beautiful. When I first sprayed, it immediately reminded me of beach nights by bath and body works but a more mature/skin scent version. It is clean, vanilla, salty just perfect. It reminds me of staying at an old beach house and you spent all day in the water and now you’re making smores. It’s not too gourmand and smells like you naturally smell this good.

Just received mine and I love it. Fresh, clean vanilla. To me it is different enough from the original 11 11 to own both. I find it a great value as well. Lasted all day when sprayed on skin & clothes

I absolutely love this scent so much. I usually mix it with DedCool Xtra Milk and the two of them create a lovely vanilla skin scent. I just wish it lasted longer!! ;(

Warm vanilla, mixed with floral and marshmallow. Exactly as described. Beautiful scent, and I will be buying more. If you're into vanillas, you'll want this one.

I don't have the original 11 11, so I can't comment on that but... This does smell good, I just have some associations with it that throw it off for me personally. For me, the sea salt note comes across as fishy to me, like literal fishiness. It's not strong, at all, but it does make it feel like the scent is some sort of sealife / seafood vanilla it's quite strange. I still like it anyway. It also kind of smells like if nail polish were to smell like vanilla or otherwise a vanilla nail salon but without the strength or without the 'burns your nose and overwhelms you' aspect like if it was more soft and subtle than toxic. It's for those reasons I don't love it, but despite those associations the fact I still like it as much as I do is surprising. Definitely agree that this is a skin scent for during the day, I can also get the association of a clean out the shower vanilla but for me personally it's not as forefront as the other bad associations I listed above. All in all the words "clean" "faint" "natural" "light" "creamy" "salty" that were mentioned in past reviews are about as best as you can really describe it. I want to sort of compare it to Montale Vanille Absolu because for me unfortunately I do agree with the negative reviews that the vanilla is a little bit synthetic, it's the same synthetic as Montale's but just without the metallic smell to it and it's less potent. Dunno probably just me.

I like this fragrance a lot, mainly because it’s similar to another one of my favorites. I couldn’t figure it out at first, but then it hit me: it is very, very close to smelling exactly like the discontinued fragrance Beach Nights from Bath & Body Works. The marshmallow, vanilla, teakwood and sea salt all are the same notes that are in Beach Nights, giving it a very nice salt air and toasted marshmallow scent. The differences are the fruity kick of the star apple note and airiness in 11 11 Vanilla give it a sort of "daytime" feel, and the smoky chocolate note and elevated sweetness in Beach Nights give it a "nighttime" vibe. I’m also not a super big fan on the projection; it is very much a skin scent, but I was expecting that. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for an office-safe toasted marshmallow scent, or a lighter, less sweet, close enough dupe for Bath & Body Work’s Beach Nights. Coming back to say I tested 11 11 Vanilla on one wrist and Beach Nights on the other to compare, and all of my above statements still stand. The only thing I want to add is that both the longevity and projection is better with Beach Nights, for my skin personally. Take that as you will. But I personally would not buy this fragrance at full price- buy secondhand or wait for a sale like I did.

i get melon when first sprayed? but that goes away quickly and turns into a soft, salty, airy, vaguely sweet concoction that is beautiful! super delicate and lovely!!! it’s almost hard to describe. an understated and gorgeous scent. very clean and fresh with just a hint of sweetness from the vanilla to keep a sugary fragrance lover like me intrigued and wanting more. i adore this so much, but the performance is poor. if the longevity was better i would wear this all day, everyday. lasts like.. maybe an hour tops (if you overspray) until it turns into a watery phantom of a clean perfume. i know it’s advertised as a skin scent but this turns into sweet nothings within minutes. it’s so freaking pretty though, still in love with it despite the longevity. also does not smell like anything when sprayed on clothing, at least for me. i layered this with burberry goddess (sprayed first), and 11 11 vanilla cuts through the ginger in goddess and makes her a teensy bit sweeter.

I don't see much resemblance to the original 11 11, because that fragrance felt prototypical, unfinished and lacked body. I really liked that one for gym purposes, or for venues where people are instructed to be "fragrance free", because it was so waifish in form and presence. This has true structure to it. The apple and salt is a weird combo, but absolutely WORKS. It's somehow fresh, tart, salty, but still airy. I understand why this is called "Vanilla", because there is some whilst the OG had none, but this isn't really a vanilla fragrance. The vanilla merely serves to round it out, and provides smoothness. It's not even that sweet honestly, this is more of a crisp affair from beginning to end. The wood is also pretty, and again, fresh. It's like sitting on a driftwood log, snacking on apples at the beach 🍎 ⛱️

to preface this review, I am NOT a fan of the original 11 11 fragrance. with that being said, I do like this one! it is not a love because unfortunately, the chemical/sharp opening of the original is present in this one as well. luckily, the saltiness and the added fruit and vanilla notes make it so the dry down turns sweeter and warmer, saving it from reading too much like TV static like the original. at first I thought that this fragrance was gone off of my skin in the hour it took me to get to work after spraying, but as I began to work and started sweating, it began to warm up and it was strong! the strong fragrance only lasted for ~1 hour though, and now 4 hours in all I smell is musk. definitely planning to use up the travel size I have, but will not be buying a full bottle.
