Eternal Vanille

I just got it today and this fragrance has been on my radar since i’ve first heard about it in october or such last year. Been waiting and waiting to be available in the UK, google searched it literally every day for a month now to see where i can get it from fast. Today i got it. With a broken cap and nozzle as someone mentioned below too. It was not a massive problem as i managed to make it work just fine. I was very curious after reading and watching all the very ambivalent reviews about it and hoped it won’t be a disappointment.. As the cap was misaligned, the fragrance has been sprayed/spilled onto the box somehow and when i opened it i smelt woods and vanilla. I thought OK, this might be actually a good blind buy. But when i actually managed to spray it, all I smelt was smokey, woodsy tones. Strong and woody. Kinda reminded me of Fireplace at first sniff, so I understand why people think it’s similar. I’m 8 hours in now and still smell the Fireplace resemblance. I also have Ameer al Oud and that’s way sweeter smokey, woodsey. The thing is, spraying it smelt different than that faint smell in the box. So I need to let it sit for a few days and come back to it. They say travel does not do good for freshly made fragrances so i get back to it in a week or so. This happened with my Nebras Elixir too. When i got it as soon as it was available, i barely smelt it, it was a very faint mess of a scent. But some lemony stuff has stayed on fabrics after i spayed it and I clearly smelt that returning in the room later, even though the fragrance was very faint at first; so I though it needs maceration and it will be better. Weeks later it become the fragrance it should be, a skin scent but a well blended and long lasting one with delicious notes. Also my Noble Blush has changed massively in a week or so too. Originally it smelt like some Guidance inspo, then it became the fragrance it was meant to be. So from smelling that leakage in the box, I think this fragrance will come together as well in a week or two, as it seems like all freshly made perfume I bought needed to sit to reach it’s potential. It’s a shame though that they only came out with this in February after teasing us for 4 months as from my experience, it is a Winter and cold weather fragrance and winter is almost over in the UK. I’d preferred it to come out when I first heard about it, then I could have had 3 months to wear :/ UPDATE! 25/02 LOVE LOVE LOVE! Woodsy, smokey, rich and sexy fragrance. Opening is very spicy,like saffrony even it doesn’t have saffron in it. I don’t detect the blackberry but it’s rich and gets better the more it sits on my skin.Very addictive somehow!!! Disclaimer – if you’re expecting a vanilla-forward fragrance, this isn’t it... This is the second release by Jordi Fernández for Lattafa using the new Givaudan / Lattafa Cocoa Pulse captive. The first was Musamam Black Intense — a rich, chocolatey yet masculine-leaning scent that’s unique for that very reason... creamy chocolate, yet somehow unmistakably masculine. Where Musamam Black Intense opens with a challenging, almost resinous accord before white florals soften the blow and the chocolate slowly becomes the star of the show, Eternal Vanille does the opposite. Eternal Vanille opens with a very subtle blackberry and chocolatey richness. The vanilla caviar is present, but it adds depth to the chocolate rather than taking centre stage. The woods and smokiness kick in quite quickly and that chocolatey richness begins to take more of a back seat, but still adding warmth to the smoke, cedar, tonka and subtle woody nuances that gradually take control. Niche snobs will hate this next part... I don’t care. Eternal Vanille reminds me of Oud Cadenza with a smokiness and woodiness that works wonderfully well. For me, this feels extrait-Crivelli-esque, just with the intensity dialled down. And with that intensity reduced compared to Crivelli extraits, it becomes more versatile and wearable on a regular basis. Whilst I personally prefer Musamam Black Intense, it must be said that they are very different in approach. In my review of Musamam Black Intense, I said it was Lattafa stepping into niche territory while retaining mass appeal. Eternal Vanille Intense is niche. It’s polarising. It’s not for noses that lean toward easy, safe fragrances. Regardless of whether you like it or not, Lattafa deserve respect for what they’re attempting here ... giving their customers a glimpse into something more niche, carrying similarities to prohibitively expensive fragrances, yet still having enough individual character to stand on its own rather than simply being a dupe.

This was a blind buy after hearing about it repeatedly on social media. I was expecting something FAR more vanilla forward. If I try really, really hard I can smell a little vanilla. I mainly smell oud and SO MUCH akigalawood mixed with a little motor oil. I’m sensing a weird trend for me. Such as, I really enjoy Angel Nova but limit my wear of it, because I smell so much of the akigalawood that I worry it’s overbearing to others. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m just hypersensitive to akigalawood even though I like it. I like this okay, but I don’t know that I will ever wear it. The bottle is beautiful, but I basically just paid $50 for a scent I likely won’t wear. It’s simply too harsh for me. I’m going to let it mascerate and see if it helps. I think this is a nice woodsy, oud, slightly vanilla scent for men. It doesn’t even begin to lean feminine IMO. I would not recommend this as a blind buy, especially if you are looking for a vanilla forward scent. MAJOR EDIT: I originally sprayed on a paper towel and fast forward to the next day, and it smells AMAZING. It finally smells like a spicy vanilla. It still leans extremely masculine, but I would love to smell this on a man. And the scent is truly eternal. Going on 24 hours now.

Upon the first spray, I was met with a startling note of motor oil 🤷🏽 entirely unexpected. However, after about ten minutes, the fragrance began to evolve, revealing glimpses of berries, benzoin, and a heavy dose of tonka. I'm convinced that after a few weeks or months of maturation, this perfume will be truly stunning! As I am on my second bottle of Cocoa Morado 💜 I'd currently describe the two as distant relatives. Perhaps cousins twice removed, haha. If you appreciate the specific DNA of Cocoa, but require something less heavy/thick for the spring and summer months (and would like to have something that smells different), Eternal Vanille is an ideal alternative. At least, that is my impression thus far ... I'll provide an update once the scent has matured, but it is already a definite repurchase for me. ✨ Silky Woods served as my signature scent for several years. Aside from a shared woodiness in Eternal Vanille, I can discern no further resemblance; to my nose, they are vastly different.

When I first sprayed this, the BlackBerry disappeared in a millisecond into this rich dark chocolate, and then right after that, you get the creaminess of like Cocoa butter, and that stays with you throughout the whole ride of this fragrance. And then, sometime in 20 minutes, you get a spiciness like pink pepper or some sort of pepper. That kind of makes me think of Mexican chocolate without the cinnamon, and I cannot place this as a banilla. I get the creaminess, which i'm assuming is from the vanilla caviar, but this is not a vanilla perfume.This is hundred percent, a chocolate perfume. It fact its like a sibling to Guerlain Gourmand Coquin. Please understand that it's not a dupe for the Guerlain, but it is a sibling to it based off the smell that I'm getting from this perfume. The chemistry is different but similarities are there. It is not a dupe but they exist as a close relative. Thats all im saying

I absolutely love this fragrance. I was in fear that I would not like it after reading a lot of the reviews and seeing posts about it from people I follow on Social Media. However, I was also reading good reviews and seeing great posts about it so I thought I would wait it out and check for myself. The box arrived and I excitedly opened it and gave it a spray and I was immediately blown away. It's sophisticated, sultry and dare I say, sexy. This scent is a perfect vanilla scent to me. It smells like that smell you want to smell when you pull that special someone in close and lean in to kiss that part of the neck just behind the ear - yeah, you know the spot - well, Eternal Vanille, in my honest opinion, smells like that moment. I'm wearing this fragrance more and more and also as a layering fragrance. Eternal Vanille is a stunner.

This is a great fragrance from Lattafa, however, if you’re looking for a sweet fragrance this is not for you! Despite the name, Eternal Vanille, there is little vanilla to speak of—and what is present is a dry, earthy vanilla rather than a sweet one. The strong powdered cacao accord also doesn’t come across as gourmand, but instead is fused nicely with earthy patchouli. I do detect a slightly tart and boozy fruity smell in the opening, but I can’t say that it gives blackberry. I do not smell leather, though many people seem to; I suspect this is a result of the Ambrofix. No gasoline smell either for me. Performance is decent: great longevity (8+ hours) but moderate projection. Get this if you love woody and/or dark fragrances that still boast moderate sweetness—such as By The Fireplace or Oud Cadenza

Eternal Vanilla by Lattafa Pride was love at first sniff. It’s exactly my kind of scent: rich, enveloping and addictive. The chocolate stands out, but what surprised me was the bitter orange in the opening, something no one talks about. I don’t find it similar to Cocoa Morado. That one leans oud and needs layering, while Eternal Vanilla works perfectly on its own and feels complete. Cocoapulse is intriguing and might explain that slightly bitter touch. I loved the Akigalawood, it adds a modern depth. About the motor oil note, I don’t get it, but my husband says it reminds him of WD-40, so maybe it’s there, just well blended. The cacao isn’t cloying at all. Tonka, benzoin and musk balance everything beautifully. Projection could be stronger, but I still loved it.

10/10 it just makes me weak in the knees. I don't know whether it's because I'm allergic to something they put in this or because of how much I fucking love it. And this is just the 2nd day. Who knows what wonders await after some months of maturation. Jordi Fernandez is HIM. HE IS THE DUDE. He absolutely cooked with Musamam Black and this was the fucking cherry on top of the fucking cake. I can't believe how good this is man. Holy shit I can't believe what Lattafa is selling for this price while French Avenue can't even deliver half of what Lattafa is giving. This should be a wake up call to all other middle eastern fragrance companies to step up or get left behind. Thank you Lattafa, thank you Mr. Jordi Fernandez sir 10 fucking tens (10s) out of 10 (ten)

This perfume deserves explanation. This is not for everyone, especially not for people who never tried or do not like niche perfumes. This reminds me of Oud Stallion, and most people here that say they can smell motor oil, i think that is olive oil. Even though olive oil is not in the notes, that is what i’m getting. The same thing happened to me with Oud stallion. I like eternal vanille. It is not an everyday perfume, this is special occasion or special mood perfume. It is dark, woody and, like i said, olive oily. Maybe in a dry down you can smell vanilla but this does deserve a different name. This is a big yes from me, because i like new and interesting perfumes. And I am a gourmand person, that loves vanilla and citruses and spices.

proof that scent perception can be very different from one another. because of their culture, taste, country, their perfume culture. i don't understand how a perfume like this only hit 3.78 for now. i can't wait to wear her after leaving her sit still for a while. so beautiful. a night in summer, or late season in an casino up front beach in 1950 or 1990, or 2026. Eternal, classic, modern, genderless,.ageless, a little gourmand, a little woody, a little creamy, a little oudy. will try to pair it with Vanilla Aura MA 😍 see if i don't become the most beautiful person in the room 😜😘

Leans more male, to me. High compliment getter, was attracted to it by hype from Daniel Rene at first. The smell is strong, radiates outward, and lasts for hours. It was very woody and leathery, so that's my main reason for it to lean male. I'm still waiting on mine to macerate fully, but the vanilla is noticeable, yet not overpowering; it works well with the sillage, and as I said, I always get compliments when I wear it. I bought one bottle at just under $80, and the presentation was immaculate; I love the bottle, and the atomiser works well. Excited for it to mature.

I was terrified to get this bottle after reading the reviews but I think this is absolutely stunning and my kind of unisex vanilla. It’s not juvenile or sweet. If you love Rosendo Mateu No. 5, Babycat, Byredo Vanille Antique or Ani by Nishane, this is a safe blind buy and totally worth it. I don’t know if people were expecting a gourmand vanilla but this is grown and smells like money. So glad I got this and didn’t buy into the hater hype.

I feel I have to give this a review, it has its haters but I don't understand why? Is theirs a bad batch or something? No motor oil here that's all, a smooth cocoa scent that is so good and having worn it from this morning I still get whiffs of it into the afternoon, I like that having created this cocoapulse Lattafa will make more similar and i will definitely buy! I don't own Morado so I can't compare, elegant bottle too 😊

Really surprised at how much I instantly loved this. The blend of cocoa, vanilla and woods is lush! The woods come much later in the dry down. It's a really good vanilla perfume but not as sweet as some other vanilla fragrances. At first it was meh but as time passed and it macerated for some time I grew to love it. I can say I got pretty good deal for 30 euros. And I can also confirm that it has a really good projection and lasts around 7-8 hours on me.

I believe the people that give fragrances bad reviews are the ones who sniff the spot they sprayed immediately. I never do that. I spray and let the silliage move to .you nose. With that being said this fragrance is immaculate in every way! This has immediately become one of my top Lattafa fragrances. 10 /10

will say that I purchased back in February of this year and just the other day I got back into town and decided to check test it out and the few months of maturation dramatically improved the scent. It's a very good fragrance. Can't wait to test drive this baby in Winter

If you love vanilla scents, you’ll love this. Forewarned, this fragrance does need to sit a couple of weeks. Apart from that, amazing fragrance. This, Vanilla 01, Nomad, Rifaaqat & Musamam Black intense are all amazing Vanilla frags! Mr Fernandez hit on this one too.

First day wearing this and I love it. It does remind me a little of Nebras Elixir and I am not sure why, maybe just the style of it rather than any particular note. I can't wait to wear this in Winter it is already making me think of wool jumpers and hot chocolate.

Successful blind buy! I can smell all the notes and the projection it's fantastic. Long-lasting too. This is the most unique vanilla that I own. It's totally unisex, dark, mysterious, elegant. I really like it.

This fragrance is something special. All of the negative reviews of this are probably only because they are smelling the place where they sprayed it instead of letting the fragrance fill the air.

its good as a stand alone but it really stands out and has more depth when used as a base for layering.

This is one of those scents that hits you like a slap to the face. You have to be ready for that slap and you have to be into that sort of thing to tolerate this fragrance. It is unapologetically strong and it doesn't care about your opinions. You either like this or you don't and that's all there is to it. You also have to appreciate oud or you can't be in the room with this thing. This is the strongest I've ever smelled akigalawood. If you can inhale slowly, ignore the sting, you can make friends with the other notes, but that akigalawood is the bouncer taking up the doorway. Update: I gave this some time to sit with itself and relax. I finally sprayed it again when no one was in the house that I would have to apologize to. The Akigalawood Bouncer is still there, arms crossed and pissed off. After some thirty minutes I started making lunch, and kept looking up wondering where the hell I was smelling vanilla bean... So, thank you Lord, my money was not wasted. This perfume is just extremely sensitive about being moved during travel. So, hear me out: on the dry down, it smells like a combination of Art of Wood and X Xandal. It's got that very dry wood aspect that I love from Art of Wood and that photorealism of vanilla from XX. Definitely a keeper, but also... Don't be an idiot and blind buy like I do.

Just got this today and I'm a little bit surprised of how it smells. First spray I put on a tester strip, and thought, meh, not great, not horrible. I did 2 sprays on the back of each hand and inner wrists and 3 sprays to my neck/chest under my hoodie and I'm liking this quite a bit. It's not too sweet, and I get a good amount of the blackberry. It's sticking around too, not just here and gone in 30 minutes. The blackberry note gives a slight resemblance to Oud Maracuja kinda vibes in a subtle way. They're not the same at all, just kind of a similar way the blackberry hits reminds me of that. I haven't smelled Oud Cadenza or Cocoa Marado, so maybe they share that same fruity vibe as Maracuja does. All in all I'm happy with the smell of this. It's different from what i was expecting. I'm glad that it's not super heavy with the vanilla. It's blended well imo. Performance is kind of mid so far. I first sprayed at around 2:00 in the afternoon, and reapplied around 6:30 and now it's 7:45 and it's there, just not super loud, which is okay, but I kind of wish it was a little stronger. Maybe it'll get stronger as time goes by like some of these middle eastern brands seem to do.

Nose Note #927 The reference to Oud Cadenza is misleading, because this has no oud, no poop. It has a lot of cocao. This is like Athair, but darker and with cocao. I don't smell the akigalawood. Imagine Chocolate Greedy, but less like cookies and more like cocao. Unisex, but leaning slightly masculine. Approaching strong performance, but not exactly there. Medium sillage. It just didn't impress me in any way. It is pleasant, but a bit too niche to appeal to the wider audience. Not as appealing as Althair or Chocolate Greedy. Oud Cadenza is very niche and definately NOT for everyone and in that sense Eternal Vanille is similar, yes. Some traits of Oud Cadenza are there, but again, without the core component of it - the poopy oud. 7/10, just a decent warm cocao gourmand sweet fragrance

Not even like it’s Lattafa inspiration Ameer Al oudh ( as that one is way sweeter). Just straight up bonfire. I feel this scent needs skin to react properly. Clothes won’t do it justice. On clothes it remained Smokey and the vanilla disappeared. It is absolute beast mode and I can see men gravitating to this more than ladies. Personally I will wear this with sweet scents such as Angham, Khamrah ect.

Oudy woudy and very dry opening, with an amber, dusty and not overly sweet vanilla bomb drydown along with some creamy cocoa and coconut facets, i only wish the blackberry note was way more prominent and the opening last longer. I usually hate vanilla centric scents, but this one is quite good and on top of that i think it's the first time i have something nice to say for a Lattafa perfume! Still not my style to buy a bottle, but i definitely need to find something that smells like its opening!

I like this now. Initially I wasn’t sure what I was smelling. Now I would say it is a more mature, more masculine and musky take on Lattafa Nebras. For real! They both are a cocoa and vanilla blend with just a hint of something fruity. Eternal Vanille has a darker woodier base (makes it a little more masculine) and to my nose it has more musk and doesn’t sit on the skin as flat as Nebras. Not as mass appealing as Nebras, but the more I wear Eternal Vanille, the more addictive I am finding it.

Honestly it's pretty much what every reviewer said, a generic sexy vanilla, even if it does feel like it has some slight aspects to it that are different like that blackberry which is a little noticeable it's not enough to make it more than just a generic vanilla. Doesn't mean it's bad, doesn't mean it still not sexy and smooth. Just a good vanilla

Its an okay fragrance. I blind bought it for the hype and because the notes seemed like something i would like.... but its only decent. Way more woodsy than I expected. Like cold-er wood shavings with a vanilla base. Its not bad by any means, and its good quality, but a little underwhelming. Entirely unisex imo

I'm hoping all the negative reviews is because it just needs to macerated which I am currently doing. As of now mine is freaking nuclear and smells exactly what I would expect a funeral home to smell like, I mean it's not terrible just not my bag. I'm going to let it sit until fall to see if it develops

Lattafa, so many good fragrances have come out of this house, this is one of them. A perfume that should not be left out of the collection. It can be worn alone or combined with other perfumes. This is an autumn and winter version of the perfume.

This is a midnight in November vanilla, a dark oud woody vanilla. It's the base layer that's going to swing many of your summer fragrances into fall, and make some "meh" ones more interesting. Great for that purpose. I wouldn't wear it solo.

0% like Cocoa Morado. I can somewhat understand those who find "Oudain" similar, the opening is equally piercing and pungent. I find this an extremely woody vanilla, borderlining with rubber. I get no chocolate whatsoever. Tbh it's pretty meh so far. I hope Deborah Waxman is a troll or a bot. Husband says it smells like WD-40 and she says it's "well blended"??? Her reviews (I checked them out) are blatantly AI generated slop too. After 30 minutes it turns into an akigalawood-patchouly bomb. The rubber smell lingers still. I like polarizing scents usually, but this is really pushing me. EDIT: Now that I have this WD-40 comparison in my head I can't get shake the feeling that it is indeed reminiscent of that. For those who don't know, WD-40 is a lubrificant oil for electrical and mechanical components.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned how close Eternal Vanille is to the old (first) skanky formulation of Khadlaj Empire Victor (the white bottle). Empire Victor has two formulations, the current one sold on the market is the more wearable lemon vanilla cake scent. Eternal Vanille appears to be extremely similar to the old skanky formulation, so much so that I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. Eternal Vanille however, might be a tad wearable due to the extra vanilla and cacao used. I do not particularly like Eternal Vanille, but I do not overly detest it. I can still pull it off. Performance is satisfactory in my books. Nothing over the top....good staying power with mid projection. But that's fair enough, a weird scent profile like this shouldn't project that much!

Jesus this is literally nothing but wood notes blasting your nose on the opening. My arm smells like it went through a bonfire and was charred to a crisp. I tried very hard to get the other notes- the cacao, the vanilla-once it has settled and I do get a bit of the sweetness but this is still so incredibly woody overall. I initially got this decant sample to use as a layering mist but I need to be very careful about how much I spray this. It's nice enough to use as a base for my chocolate perfumes so there's that but I will never buy a full bottle of this.

Lattafa, what's going on? Eternal Vanille is a beautiful, well-composed scent profile that doesn't perform. I had to layer it with Swiss Arabian Vanilla 01 just to get some performance out of it. Lattafa, you are a brand where performance should not be an issue. At best, Eternal Vanille is a skin scent after 30-40 minutes.

reminds me of Maison Margiela By the Fireplace. Evening formal, cold weather, smokey lane. 4 stars on quality, but beast mode performance — very long lasting and heavy projection. Really late fall early winter ... smells to be on spot for a Chistmas Market

Not a huge fan of the fragrance alone on my skin, but it's a layering beast. Couple sprays of this and then layer on any fragrance you'd think could use a dark vanilla twist, you're solid.

Long lasting? Yes. Good projection? Yes. (I wish was none) Is hard to understand why, and where, except a ski slop in mid December, would anyone want to smell like this. Jordi Fernández made a bunch of good perfumes. To be honest these houses don't seem.to care about the "ingredients" as 99% smell like doodoo and some skanky artificial bulk oud wannabe aromachemicals. Luckily, that's not in here. There is something nauseating and borderline disgusting in this and can't pinpoint it exactly but I am sure 100% that is not the parfumeur as MUCH as the disgusting, non IFRA regulated maybe?! ingredients... or low quality ones. An easy avoid, don't make my mistake and blind buy this. Another one that makes me wonder why Oud Touch - Franck Olivier was never hyped... that was something X 100 better. (At that time, now is overdone)

Whew this is very much an acquired taste. The fragrance falls into niche territory. It hit my nose in the air before I ever smelled it on skin. On first sniff it made me think of various meats, particularly bacon for some reason. The Oud is loud and present along with the cocao and woods. It leans masculine to my nose. This isn’t something I would wear nor would I want my husband or son to wear it. Definitely not an everyday fragrance. Fall/Winter fragrance and definitely beast mode. A few sprays is all that’s needed. I can definitely see it taking someone years to get through a full bottle.

I don’t enjoy this fragrance. I was not a big fan of Cocoa Morado, but I can say they share some similarities. At the same time, this fragrance is doing something different on its own. I’m still not sure what occasion I would wear this for, and after testing it, I don’t think this one is for me. Update: I will be giving this one away. The smell alone makes me nauseous, and I know there will be people out there who love this fragrance, but as for me, it’s a pass. I rate it ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5).

I received today. It’s not expensive but even at a low price it’s a poor investment. It’s incredibly unremarkable. Neither good nor bad. I cannot recommend this.

I'm convinced anyone who likes this scent is a liar. It's overwhelmingly musky. I would not say there is anything feminine about this fregrance at all.

This should have been called Eternal Shill, because the only vanilla here is the influencer lie it was wrapped in. What you’re actually getting is a dank, unwashed oud swamp Oud Cadenza smeared with rancid cocoa, dry-humping Havana Gold and Estrella de la Mañana extrait in a moldy agarwood bunker. It’s sour, tarry, aggressively masculine, and niche in the punishment sense. Like it’s daring you to pretend you enjoy it. There is zero vanilla. Not edible. Not cozy. Not even theoretical. Calling this a vanilla fragrance is laughable at best and fraudulent at worst. If you’ve smelled any of the usual dark-oud-for-the-aesthetic suspects, congratulations, you’ve already smelled this exact perfume in three different bottles. Will someone like it? Of course. There’s always an audience for dirty oud cosplay. But don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s crème brûlée. The scent isn’t the problem. The calculated mislabeling to chase a viral vanilla moment is.
