Habik For Men

Habik For Men to me is a little bit of a mish mash of familiar DNAs. A few pinches of Le Male (Essence but also several others), a little pinch of CH Privé and tiny sprinkle of L'Homme thrown in. The result is as one would expect, a very wearable, very pleasant to oneself and also apparently crowd-pleasing wear. It's also very sweet, so do be aware of that if you're sensitive to that. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it so far which surprises me as I'm not usually one to go out for that, so that's saying this fragrance is quite mass-appealing. Longevity is good, I get an easy 6-8 hours but it's also a sneaky nuclear projecting fragrance so do be aware of it in close quarters, I made that mistake at work (no more than 2-3 sprays!). This one will get a lot of wear during this coming cold season. I've seen many comparaisons to Le Male Essence which I agree with but don't buy this expecting a 1:1 close, it's also got its own take on this DNA, Habik is a lot spicier, less vanillic and more cardamom forward up top, more akin to L'Homme then as it dries down it gets closer to Le Male's vanillic vibes. Still, great work from Lattafa here.

I think most of these reviews have been from people who haven’t let their bottle mature for a couple of months. Fresh out the box on day one you’re gonna get a heavy pepper, cinnamon, and artemisia blast which can be very offputting for most people‘s noses. It’s almost a very stingy clove scent and the dry down has a leathery note with some odd sweetness that would easily be graded to a 5/10 fragrance by most noses. Now three months down the road and it’s a whole new fragrance! You still have those notes on first spray but it’s very toned down and well blended & accompanied with sweet tonka, sage and slight powdery lavender giving Habik an earthy,sweet and almost vanilla & licorice note that’s driven by the tonka in the deep dry down. Very well made and enjoyable if you actually have the patience to wait for the fragrance to properly blend. The only thing I could pick apart on this fragrance is that “almost vanilla note” could have, AND should have been added to the blend! That would have made this a 1:1 and a true cloned masterpiece. I have to give this absolutely undeservedly ostracized & underrated “almost masterpiece” a 9.3/10.

I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on Lattafa Habik—some people love it, others really don’t—but honestly, I’m on the side that loves it. I went into this as a blind buy not knowing what to expect, just chasing that thrill, and it definitely paid off. First off, the bottle is beautiful and feels like something special right out of the box. As for the scent, it’s amazing. You get a warm, sweet, ambery cinnamon vibe right away, with a nice blend of spicy and aromatic notes. There’s a fresh spicy kick in the opening, mixed with lavender and herbal touches that give it some balance. As it dries down, the vanilla and amber come through more, giving it that smooth, slightly powdery finish, all sitting on a woody base. It’s definitely a winter fragrance—warm, cozy, and perfect for colder weather. This is also known to be a dupe of a discontinued Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance, and it really captures that sweet, spicy DNA well. I’d honestly be surprised if this doesn’t pull compliments. I can’t wait for winter to really put this one to use.

starting off, I'm just gonna say I have never smelled the original Le male essence, so this review isnt looking at this fragrance as a clone and more as a standalone thing. Its opening is strong, first 5 minutes its pure black pepper, which i hate, but the bergamot and cardamom step in to smooth it out and it starts to actually shine. the bergamot cardamom, slight black pepper smell stays for a solid hour or so, then the lavender and cinnamon come in. the lavender gives it the classic le male sweet smell, and the cinnamon makes it slightly gourmand like caramel. most of the base notes are somewhat prominent from the opening onward, but the tonka bean and patchouli stand out giving it a spicy, earthy, and vanilla-like mens shaving cream smell. The best way I can describe it is Pepper from Sauvage, Sweetness from One Million, and herbal notes and masculinity from le male. its a great fragrance, somewhat cheap, useable for any winter day, and very masculine. Would recommend.

So I’ve been wearing this on occasion for the last 6 months and before it gets to warm I’m wearing one more, ish, time. I do think this is fine for all spring long. Once is stays in the 80’s I’ll stop wearing. Anyway I’m really loving this scent and it is a compliment getter. Spice, sweet with leather works. After adding high end designers, Dior & TF, as well as niche PDM & Scents of Woods my nose has evolved, I think, and I gotta tell ya I do think this has quality at least in the high designer realm. I’m impressed with the quality, not any naturals I’m sure but synthetics done really nicely. This is absolutely a steal for $30 ish usd and completely blind buy safe. I’m now on a mission to get my nose on a sample of the OG, just curious. This will be a staple in my collection. Would love to get OG as a collector.

Nose Note #820 I'm changing the rating on here to moderate longevity, it's slightly above moderate, but not much. I'm not getting much whiffs of it, unfortunately, because the profile is really nice warm spicy with pepper, cinnamon; lavender gives it a subtle clean and masculine touch and tonka beans the non-vanillic sweetness. It's nice but rather linear and simply, so I'm a bit disappointed. I imagine that the OG is much stronger, minding that the nose is Quentain Bisch. Something in the similar ball park is FA Lumiere Garcon, but it's much more potent, has a date note and is altogether somewhat DG The One-like. It doesn't smell naturalistic at all. Just smells like a perfume, slightly synthetic, a rather dry. 7.8/10, still wonderful and easy to wear

This is very hard to describe, I actually don’t know how to. I get like a juicy black currant, very fruity and then a blast of tons of different spices. As it dries down, I get this nice, relaxing lavender and patchouli mix with some more spices. This is bold, sweet, fruity, and spicy. I don’t have anything that smells similar to this, just an insane combination on its own. I love it. Just a super unique fragrance that’ll stand out. Pretty cool bottle also. For those that say it smells like BO or sweat, genuinely go to the doctor and get checked out.

One of the best Lattafa fragrances out there and fantastic value. Top notes of cardamom and black pepper is so polarizing and grabs attention from anyone passing by. Whenever I smell this fragrance, I imagine a very masculine, sexy, and mature man wearing this. That is not to say that is orientated towards the older crowd, it is very much for all ages. Smells so much more expensive than it actually is. Fantastic pick up for the winter and colder night time, and date night fragrance. Could definitely daily this in the winter. Overall 9/10 I love it.

This is a lovely fragrance, and is an amazing take on Le Male Essence. It starts off very aromatic, coming in pretty strong with cardamom and hitting VERY heavy with lavender. After a while, it dries down into a sweet, spicy, almost edible scent that is extremely addictive. It's a perfect date night or special occasion fragrance and has moderate longevity, lasting around 8 hours on my skin. Overall, I will say that this is an extremely good fragrance and is much higher quality than the price point may say. Rating: 9/10

Haven’t smelled the original. This is a unique, spicier fragrance which I find to be pretty versatile. Wouldn’t wear this in the heat of summer but it’s fresh enough for moderate temperature wear. Projects decent but not nuclear by any means. A more mature scent profile for sure, I’m not getting much “warm spicy” from this and would reach for something with a more pronounced amber profile on colder days, but this serves as a nice fall/spring scent that can be used either at night or a daily driver.

Zero complaints with this fragrance, which is hard to find. Now the bottle and the silly plastic ornament is a different story, but I don't care that. If it comes off it goes in the trash, simply. But the scent is amazing and if this smells anything like the OG, why the hell JPG discontinued is beyond me. But this is blind buy safe, back up bottle worthy, especially for the price and signature scent worthy! I hopefully, will own for life. Big fan!

The opening is pepper heavy. Imagine Dior Sauvage edp but only pepper and way stronger. The dry down is a less peppery sweet version that my gf says smells very masculine and compared it to a Dior Sauvage EDP if it had more class and less mass appealing notes. Each spicy note hits in this fragrance, it has such an alluring scent. One of the best cheap "date-night" colognes I have ever smelled. The pepper and cinnamon absolutely rock. You won't need many sprays from this, as performance is superb. Longevity is an easy 8 hours, if not more, and projection is well above average. Definitely radiates off your skin. Longevity: 9/10 - Projection: 8/10 - Overall: 8.5/10

I am very impressed with this fragrance! I am a noob at fragrances but this impressed me beyond the smell and design. I work in a on the go maintenance job for a hotel chain. I spent 6 hours drenched head to toe, clearing drains while a down pour was happening, clearing puts up to my elbows, and 2 of those hours working on a sewage pump. And after all that I could still smell this scent! Well worth it!

If you loved JPG Le Male Essence you'll love this. This scent is an absolute beast in the colder weather, works with any occasion. The projection and longevity are fairly decent as well. This cologne is more for the masculine community, if you prefer sweet or fresh I don't know if this would be for you. With that being said I highly recommend this cologne, the pepper and cinnamon are amazing.

Love this one once it settled say 15 minutes in a nice blend of spice and leather at first the opening was fresh and spicy which I really enjoyed. The leather as I am just getting into some leather fragrances is a perfect blend for me, not to overpowering . Decent projection and lasts all day or all evening. Picked up on mid year sale half price for $35Aus so got a steal there.

The pepper is very noticeable, i smelt it on paper and it didn’t smell too good but once on skin everything changed, It definitely smells like a jpg kind of fragrance and it’s definitely worth it. I wouldn’t say blind buy safe though. I did blind buy it but i grew into it, it doesn’t need maceration it’s great out the box.

Reminds me of Dior Sauvage Elixir in the opening. The dry down is kind of weird for me. But I think a few weeks or a month this could be dope all the way around. Not a bad scent at all very masculine and aromatic. Last about 5 to 6 hours as far as projection the skin scent stays around for about another 4 to 5 hours.

smells 1 to 1 in the opening i have the real thing too, the drydown ill update. The drydown is sweeter, has more tonka, and i dont detect much of a leather note , maybe cuz my og bottle is 10 years old, i do remember trying it and this is what it used to smell like now it has much more leather.

I tried this in an Arabian frag shop and I loved the fresh spicy and most importantly my girl looooved it so I got it, overall lasts pretty long but the projection is decent. Could be used everyday but the spicy can be too much in high temp days, I'll probably wear this to the gym as well.

Im doing well with blind buys so far, honest opinion is that its a beautiful masculine scent, slightly spicy but only to begin with slight lavender coming through and having not smelt the ones its compared to i can't tell you its similar but this is another no brainer at £30 9/10

Pleasant fragrance in a nice well made bottle. Florals Cardamon and spices well blended. Very like Al Nashama Caprice. Moderate performance. A definite love from me. *Update* Not as long lasting as some other Lattafas but still pretty good.

I just got this and i was disappointed the first spray because it smells exactly like lattafa asad, which I hate with a burning passion. I gave it about 20 mins to dry down and it turned into burberry hero edp. Its soooo good.

Very clean and smooth. No tobacco note but the combination of the notes gives off that clean tobacco subtle sweet smell. Sophisticated, versatile enough to make a statement dressed up, and not overdone for a casual setting.

pepper heavy opening, really smells like jpg in the dry down. let it sit a few days, it’s honestly really versatile, hard not to reach for it and i have over 30 different bottles. 10/10 scent 9.5 longevity/sillage

Smooth cardamom, leather, with a punch of pepper in the opening. This one is great, reminds me of something I know but I can't put my finger on it. Very easy to wear, best suits a dress up situation or night out.

Update: This has matured nicely after 2 months. Now it has better performance and the cardamon and lavender is more prominent. A lot of character with this one. I can't stop sniffing my arm folks!

All i can say it comforting and soothing. it's not even glaze atp its js truth. It's not loud or anything but when u get close to someone wearing this u can't help but lean in typ shi

Amazing scent nice for date nights, but you can definitely pull this off daytime. Projection is alright but it stays on you for very long.

Tonka bean, spice and Cardamom done nice 👌🏿 . Never smelled the OG, but this is a very good fragrance on its own.

This fragrance is now the biggest proof I've ever had of maturation being a thing. I know there are a lot of people in reviews on here who claim that's not really a thing, they are wrong. I got this bottle on August 22nd. We are now just shy of a full month later and the difference between the day I got it and now is night and day. When I got this I was completely confused about what all the hype was about. It smelled way, way sweeter than anything I read/saw made me think that it would be, and the only notes I got besides sweet was just pepper and cinnamon. So just sweet as candy and spicy. Now tonight I tested it again, and the sweetness is way lower. The other notes are actually present now. I can get the citrus, the lavender, the woodiness and the tonka. Of course the pepper and cinnamon are still there, but they are a little bit toned down. I still think they are a little bit out of balance, but way closer to what I was expecting. I'm hoping that leaving this just a little bit longer is going to take the cinnamon and pepper down just the slightest bit. Overall, I wouldn't say I quite love it now, but I definitely like it, and it's approaching the level of being love.

This fragrance has a scent that seems to be a combination of Rasasi Daarej and Al Rehab Superman. It has a slightly off putting, animalic/dirty/fecal note within the first five minutes of application. Possibly a cumin note or something of the sort not listed. However!! This note dies down and blends in after about 20 mins and is not detectable anymore. Whatever it is, it seems to add to the complexity of the fragrance in a good way. And I can't stand animalic notes! But seriously, don't let that put you off to it. As Habik dries down, it just gets better and better. Very unique and complex scent. Challenging, even --very Arabesque and spicy Oriental. Long lasting and a completely non-linear scent profile. It's forever changing and becoming something different while still holding on to its notes (minus the animalic part). More of a cold weather night time scent. I wouldn't dare wear this in warm or hot weather. Overall, a very strong like at a decent price point and all of the main accords listed, are true to form.

want to start by saying i like this fragrance. It surprised me with how good it is because i HATE bergamot and they put it in everything these days. That being said, it is SOOO similar to Al Embratur Elixir by Zimaya that I feel having both is redundant. I do like this one more than Al Embratur(which is supposedly a clone of Invictus Victory Elixir), but you could get away with just one of them and not be missing out on too much. This one is a bit warmer due to the cinnamon and lacks the sweetness of vanilla from Al embratur. All and all, if you're looking for a really good cheap fall evening fragrance this is not a bad choice. Definitely smells more expensive than it is.

Im a woman and kind of love this fragrance. The spray on is def masculine, but after 10 minutes, the overly masculine bergamot thing, it sort of goes away, and it becomes absolutely gorgeous. The artemesia mixed with a little sage and the pepper in it is addictive fr. Then the cinnamon gives it something warm and cozy, My man loves it as well. It's very fresh and sophisticated on him, on me it is a little sweeter and warmer. Imo this is def masculine leaning. Lasts 6+ hours on my skin. Id be impressed and intrigued if a man would wear this. One of the better Lattafa fragrances fr. 8,5/10

I bought habik for men for £17.85, and i quite like it, it definitely needs maceration time, but its in the realm of spicebomb or sauvage really, its very very peppery which kinda makes it difficult to smell any other note until the drydown, as for projection, I'm not smelling much from neck sprays, but even on my arms its not so... projected, might just need a little more time on the shelf before i could get some good use out of it, but for the price, its good doesn’t blow me away, its... easy wearing work man scent. 6/10

I really enjoy the scent profile but it can come really overpowering to sensitive noses it’s HELLA spiced and a lot aromatic so it’s pungent but not in an aggressive unpleasant way more in just a “ima get fucking noticed” way. It’s not subtle it’s an open air strong spiciness. Enjoyable but not daily it’s a more of an occasion type fragrance to me also BECAUSE IT LASTS WAY TOO MUCH TO ME, 12+ on me it’s just too much for such specific strong. But nonetheless it’s really good smelling

I have never smelled Le male essence... but this thing carries the JPG 'aura' if you will. It doesn't have the exact notes of but remind me of both le male le parfum / le male elixir. 2 sprays on my wrist made this project a good 3-4hrs going around town both in and outside... after that tho it turned into a somewhat less pleasant (almost bad smelling) scent, something that I've experienced before with club de nuit man edt & supremacy in heaven

Mature to a fault. Firmly masculine, overtly peppery, but actually quite nice. I don't wear it if I know I'm going to be in close proximity to people I don't know well enough because of the aggressive spiciness, but it is quite refined and pleasing to me. I'd like this more on another person, I believe; I don't think my skin chemistry is good for this. It's hard for me to picture an ideal situation to wear this. Rating: 6/10

Gets compliments. Dries down and softens but still projects about a foot off the body 4 hours. Sweet and alluring modern masculine skin scent at intimate distance. Not douchey or cheap smelling, but not very complex either. It works especially well for city nights, crowded clubs... reminds me of the Batcave in NYC... a goth/industrial club I used to frequent in my youth. Love this juice, especially for the price.

It`s a pepper-heavy opening on my skin, so you have to love that, but as the pepper calms down, that's when the scent is at its best IMO. I do, however, feel that it is a bit simple, so I have been layering it with Viktor&Rolf metallic musk lately to make it more interesting. The quality and performance punch above the pricetag, and I would buy it again as a cheap dailydriver.

This is a very peppery and spicy scent, also a little barber shoppy, because Its got that Jpg DNA sort of vibe, and it also smells like a Nivea product, besides that longevity is not that great, I will have to let it macerate and see, but overall I like it, I got it for like 20$ and I can imagine Essence smelling like that

Tbh i haven't tried the og before, but it didn't gave me the gpj vibes, it smelled like one of la nuit de l'homme frags, it projects very well, u smell the cardamom nd peppers at the opening, after 10min it hits with with lavender nd cinnamon, when it drys down u start noticing the Sandalwood

Some people believe this to be a hit or miss but I thoroughly enjoy this. Weirdly enough, it reminds me of the classic JPG DNA, especially with Le Male, something to do with the lavender and cardamom but I really enjoy this for times I want something cozy and for the colder months.
