Love in Paris

Update: Ive let it sit for 2 weeks and its so very yummy, it is developping beautifully into a different type of sweetness I don't normally see in perfumes of this price range. Its so realistic, warm and deliciously sweet without smelling artificial. I truly smell like a bakery. Its so good! Original: I love this, I do get a mild similarity to Angel share but just in the apple accord, this scent is not powdery nor super boozy like Angel share, it is way more photorealistic gourmand. If there is any booziness its in this thick bread scent this is giving, which is more sweetbread than boozy drink. In the opening there is a strong roasted halzenut smell which I take to be the roasted tonka bean, it is avery strong component. Then the caramelized apple pie starts to settle in. This apple accord is alot more caramelized with yummy maple compared to Angel share. I don't understand why people don't like maple its just giving me a sophisticated version of caramel. Its also not giving me a bath and bodyworks apple pie reminiscent smell but a very high end version of jammy apple pie. I love the breadiness/pastry whiffs I get as I love a good bread scent (I also love Brioche Vanille). I don't really pick up the patchouli but there is something grounding but definitely still in a sweet way, to me its more of rose and woods giving that grounding backdrop. And I don't get the middle eastern spiciness I thought would come with, maybe just a touch of Artisan Ethnique's cinnamon is here but not a spice mix, it is a very versatile appealing scent. Very enjoyable.

And it’s so good, it makes you almost long for fall and winter? Perfumes by a master creator that are accessible to all enthusiasts... thank you, thank you, thank you to Lattafa and to Monsieur Bisch 🙏🙏🙏

Love in Paris by Lattafa might really be one of them ones 👀🔥 I kept spraying this every time I went into the store and it NEVER disappointed. The longevity on this is crazy, like this scent really sticks with you in the best way possible. Smooth, addictive, elegant... just a beautifully done fragrance overall. I still don’t know if it fully touches Checkmate for me personally, but this right here is quality. You can tell this was crafted by a master perfumer and not just thrown together to chase hype. Lattafa been stepping it up heavy lately.

This is seriously incredible and honestly deserves way more hype. The maple note mixed with that caramelised apple and a subtle almondy vibe gives it this toasted pastry feel. I absolutely love it, and it lasts really well too. It’s not your typical crowd-pleaser, but that’s what makes it stand out. You really pick up the warm amber and benzoin in the base - it’s quite unique and comforting scent.

Today I received this package, and my honest feedback is this is very different. Not in any way we can tell that this is a $50 fragrance. To me it smells a little niche. Of course Sweet but this is 100% sure that it needs some time to get more mature. Just for an example, it smells like a creamy cookie

I’m here in the UK and I got a sample from siriussamples.com and it’s a scent reminiscent of the apple you’d get in an apple crumble. To me, it’s got a warmth and coziness that would cut through the cold or even something that would be great around the festive season.

I’m in love with this scent! I’m not sure if this is supposed to be a dupe for something, because I DO NOT ENJOY Jany, it smells like a candle! And I don’t get that feeling with this fragrance! It’s BEAUTIFUL! A gourmand boozy apple pie! It’s fascinating.

I am surpisingly loving this one. This is a perfect fall scent! It smells more like "Love in the Fall!" I love the caramalized apple, mixed with the patchouli. It has a slight dark sweetness of cocoa in it. I love it.

A warm cinnamon apple pie with a heavy amber and patchouli. I've never smelled the OG so I don't know how close this is but I think this truly is a fairly unisex gourmand scent. I can see why some would think Angel's Share though theyre not the same, just something you might enjoy if you like that DNA.

The first few seconds it smells really good I can smell the caramel and the apple but the dry down makes me sick to my stomach. I had it for 3 weeks and it didn’t get any better so I returned it. I was really hoping this would lean more gourmand. It may be the benzoin note that I find off putting. @straightupfragman you must be a pretty miserable person if me returning a perfume gets under your skin so much lol. Ever heard of maceration? I was giving this perfume a few weeks to macerate and potentially get better. I only sprayed it twice. (once upon arrival and once before finally returning.) It didn’t get better, so why should I have to lose money on something I will never use? So yes, I returned it. If that was an issue, I’m sure the company wouldn’t allow returns.

Overall, I was underwhelmed. It is an ok fragrance and my least favorite of the Citites collection. I went into this expecting something romantic and a little exotic. The name is Love in Paris. The collection is Cities. I had expectations. What I got was straight apple pie. Warm, caramelized apple pie with something a bit off in the dry down. It might be the benzoin, not sure. Not a horrible fragrance, but for me personally, a no. I love gourmands, but this one just doesn't hit the spot for me. If you came expecting something that feels like Paris, manage those expectations before you buy

First impressions: overly sweet, cloying, a scrubber. The hype is hyping and this is trash. Will keep testing.

Okay so I usually mind my business most of the time in this community but I couldn't help but notice that commenter who used it for 3 weeks and then returned it. I mean, how is that fair? So who should they sell the returned stuff to? I mean if you had returned it with one or two spritz that's understandable but it took you using for 3 weeks before you figured it needs to be returned ... that's just not right to me, but hey this place is for fragrance reviews not judge Judy show. As for 'LIP', I actually like it but don't love it. Redolescense Channel on YouTube raved about it so I went for it, and dare I say I was a little underwhelmed. Maybe more than a little. Don't get me wrong, it smells okay but nothing ground breaking. Something quite meh about it. Opening is the best part for me - nice noticeable caramel with that burst of almost juicy but timid fruitiness. Then the mid tone, in fact, minutes after spraying, you start to get this Southeast Asian vibe - the best way I can describe it is if you've visited Thai massage places before for a treatment, and they use their real aromatic Thai oils, that's exactly how it smells to me. You'd have to have experienced those Thai oils and LIP to really understand what I mean here. Overall, a worthy fragrance but not something that gets more than 6/10 in my books. Subjectivity is what defines fragrance reviews, so maybe try it out yourself and see.

I recently bought this, and it honestly reminds me of BDK Velvet Tonka... I checked the notes in both, and can see why there's semblance. May not be an exact replica but as soon as I smelt it, I instantly linked the two of them. Love In Paris is more like Love In Cambodia hahaha Still a good fragrance though :)

This manages to do gourmand without smelling like a cheap candle. It's maple-baked apples and slightly burnt Biscoff cookies, with what I'm assuming is the roasted tonka note giving it a smoky sweetness that puts me in mind of scents like Commodity Milk or By The Fireplace.

"Redolescense Channel on YouTube raved about it" (from a comment below) but he's a hag for Lataffa. The thing that piqued my interest about this is that Q Bisch was the perfumer behind it. It's alright though

I just received a sample of this. I don’t get mind games check, please at all. I do get either Mugler’s pure Tonka though. I will definitely be getting a full bottle. This is good stuff!

Smells like khamra but with the dates and booze removed and replaced with maple syrup. Almost smells like a candle. Doesn’t last very long
