Maahir Honor

Nose Note #984 I've run out of Voux Zingy, so I'll only be comparing this to Platine Blanc. And I'll say right away - I like Platine Blanc more. I'm smelling them side by side and PB definately has more realistic mint, like freshly squeezed mint leaves. Maahir Honor is more like an impression of what Platine Blanc is. It doesn't smell as photorealistic, not as pushing right from the start. It feels more subdued. Of course, if you don't compare them side by side I don't think anyone would feel any difference. But if you try to get to the core of it, Platine Blanc is hands down better quality. There is no difference in performance. The rating here tells you "long lasting", well, this is a very generous overstatement. Just like Platine Blanc this is a moderate performer. It's a purely summer scent, you can't expect it to be a powerhouse. Confidently unisex. Moderate performance, or, I'd rather say the performance is just enough for what it is. Resemblance to Luna Rossa? Well, this has no lavender, which is central to Luna Rossa, but otherwise very distantly - yes. It has similar effervescent summer nature. 8.5/10, it still deserves praise and a high score. If I had to pick, I'd choose Platine Blanc

I’ve got ADP Buongiorno, Platine Blanc and this. The Maahir is mintier, the Platine Blanc is a closer clone to Buongiorno but doesn’t feel as high quality. Never smelt the Torino so can’t compare to that. This is not very long lasting, it has some lavender to accompany the mint which is my favourite note in anything. There are some reminiscences of Prada Luna Rossa early on in there and it’s very much in the citrus aromatic ballpark, like LV Imagination along with its clones. Imagine the citrus element from any of the Armani ADG line, parfum or EDT. On first spray you’ll get a mint bomb, followed by lime soda or fizzy cordial, then the florals come out and it settles into a beautiful scent that is only moderate lasting and with only very moderate sillage. Ideal for summer, hot conditions, humidity etc. Then 3hrs after spraying it becomes a skin scent and smells exactly like Bvlgari Rain Essence. I know it’s insane but I own a few bottles of that and that’s all you get from this.

It didn't blown you away at first because of being too lemon forward and probably smelling like babywipes in the drydown? Wear it 3-4 times and LET IT SIT! Got my bottle about 4 weeks ago and had THE EXACT SAME ISSUE but now after wearing it and putting a bit of a dent in the bottle this one smells exactly like a herbal ice-cooling mojito in the first hours and dries down into a clean sheets/clothes soft smell which is nothing i have thought of and even considered Torino21 DNA as being trash but hell nah man right now this one is one of my favorite summer freshies as it cuts even through humid tropical days. Absolutely fucking amazing fragrance, saw the lady behind me complaining but i'm guessing she didn't let it sit at all which is understandable but experienced this notes mumble with many fragrances already to know it's gonna become way better with a little bit of both time and sprays, cheers!

I paid $31 for this one while Platine Blanc is $56 where I live. Whatever difference in quality there is between Platine Blanc and this one, it's not enough to justify paying almost double the price, hell, not even half more. Is Platine Blanc 2x better? Fuck no. I see that the hype and attention has gotten to French Avenue management's head. Fragrance world, wake the fuck up and put a leash on your prices because at this moment Lattafa and other brands are wiping the floor with you and hype alone won't carry you through the market in the long run. Later edit: Out of the rip this smelled incredible. Nothing funky or weird from the first sprays. Quality is exceptional considering the modest price. I've sprayed this last night on my t-shirt at around 2-3 AM and now, after 12 hours I can still smell it from the t-shirt. The dude above me is spot on with his description.

There's something interesting the talk about- majority of the reviews get the more citrus oriented smell out of this, but to me it smells much more like a green tea oriented fragrance. Smells like a freshly brewed cup of green tea, fresh tea leaves with a touch of mintiness (not mint, just the mintiness) and a splash of sweet citrus. It's not like a screechy, powerful bergamot opening. More like a sweet, slightly watered down lemonade type of citrus. And probably because of the bottle- I get the vision of a teacup made out of white porcelain, filled to the brim with green ice tea with white/pink flower petals on it. Overall, really enjoyable, really smooth, really elegant fragrance.
