Niche Emarati Mughal Fort

The Niche Emarati line from Lattafa seems to be their most expensive range. From the heavy metallic bottle(I used to think it was metallic) to the aesthetic packaging, it's safe to assume that the juice would be stellar... In the opening, you're greeted with a very spicy cardamom and burnt caramel. There's also a herbal tea smell I get & mint.. The pimento effect is felt here after a few minutes. It begins to give a spicy, peppery vibe. All these are happening while the sweet caramel is all there. It's kind of an original smell, tbh. The mid doesn't have much change. The caramel is now more prominent. The overall fragrance starts to get sweeter. The caramel at this point has softened, thanks to the help from the vanilla The dry down gets much sweeter. Vanilla and caramel with a peppery background. That perfect cookie! The term 'sweet' has been used a lot in fragrance detailing, but in this fragrance, the sweetness is 6 on a scale of 10. The spiciness doesn't let it get overly sweet. Just a balance of everything. This is a great Christmas fragrance. Can serve as a wedding fragrance. It's unisex, but can lean slightly feminine. Performance is huge. 18hrs+ on skin with a very good projection. In summary, this is not blind-buy safe for the price. But if you love this fragrance DNA, the price wouldn't matter. Also, it's a fragrance you might love more the less you smell it(you crave for it when you haven't smelt it, but hate it when you do for too long)...if that makes sense. Final rating: 8.5 This is a scent profile I fell in love with quickly, but sadly, my bottle broke recently—it fell with its head/atomizer—but I managed to savage at least 65ml. PS- I had to temporarily leave my room for 1 week after I couldn't sleep the first 2 nights I tried, due to how brutal my room smelled of caramel. Damn! The smell lasted 2 months+ because the juice got to the curtain and some chairs. Holy!!! Mughal Fort is a beast!!!!!

At first, I was unsure how I felt about this fragrance. I started by spraying it out and setting it aside. Curiosity got the best of me, and I started to wear it sooner after purchase than I would most Middle Eastern fragrances. This fragrance is intoxicating. It beckons me from the shelf. I intend to reach for an easy-grab perfume, which this is not, and I still end up with this in my hand. It's an interesting fragrance in that it is truly unisex. It's comforting. The warmth of the vanilla carries the fragrance through, but it's not a sweet vanilla. It's also not spicy, in spite of the fact that it opens with pimento. It's beast mode - you have to wash this off. Its presence is strong as is the sillage. If you want be the person who makes the most interesting impression, wear this fragrance.

When I first bought this , I was not impressed. I was influenced by a great review, although I feel the bottle is hideous.....It sat at my bedside with other perfumes looking more like a Dubai city of enchanted fragrances.... But the magic came, through waiting....This perfume is stunning. I am surprised there are no florals in here. I find it sweet, creamy and feminine. My husband said he didn't think he would wear it. Nor does he find it amazing like I do. I am so happy I bought it, I am so excited about how gorgeous it is. It lasts quite a long time. Not sure what I would compare this to, perhaps a creamier version of a designer Western floral JPG Classique, but creamier . It is really beautiful.

Mughal Fort is a stunner! I was impressed immediately with the complexity and depth of such an inexpensive fragrance. I will say the Niche Emarati line within Lattafa is a tad on the pricey however that’s completely relative considering lattafa prices. Anyway, let’s talk about the most important aspect ( for me anyway) and that’s longevity and silage. I study that before scent profile or price. I don’t do skin scents or even a moderate is a no for me. MF is fantastic, I get more compliments this than any other fragrance I own. This scent is addictive and deep. I can’t recommend this fragrance enough! PS....must macerate, it’s the only downside

I bought this after smelling changing Constance. This is similar, imo. I don't have both, so I can't directly compare. I LOVE IT. It's a grown-up gourmand. It opens up spicy but addictive spice, smoothly transitioning into sweet and luxurious caramel. And finally, into a smooth vanilla and amber warmth. It changes a lot, throught wearing so give it time. Strength I get 16+ hours on the skin. This stuff is strong; it projects super well as well. Fills out rooms easily. Even though it's super strong, it is a complement magnet. Everyone loves this stuff on me And for about $60+. IT IS SO WORTH IT. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THIS IN MY COLLECTION

Its a wery good kinda spicy sweet fregrence, very unisex and coazy, good alternative for swy intensly. The opening kinda reminds me of ysl y parfum its really sweet cardamom but as it dries down scent gets sweeter its not overly sweet from the toffi, its woody sweet like you would mix swy intensly with oud wood and add almound to it, idk why almound isnt listed cuz i can smell it in the drydown. It also last really long 7-9 hours and projects really strong for 60$ 8/10 Great for the price

I love how this is uniquely warm and fresh at the same time, the cedar cardamom pimento combo is giving so much beautiful freshness yet it’s warm and yummy because of the other notes I’m in love with this perfume, addicting, very unisex Not overly masculine nor overly feminine Also, I love the box and the bottle Such a great quality for this price Forever in love with Lattafa’s work when it doesn’t miss ✨

First impressions: sweet carmel cardamom wrapped in a marshmellow cloud. There's a slight aromatic freshness to it. So far it's absolutely lovely. It's not overly sweet just the right amount.

@ambergriz I totally agree - to my nose there’s a prominent tuberose/jasmine note and I absolutely love it. This fragrance is warm, rich, and stunning. Anyone can rock this.

Based on the first 15 mins of spraying this, it is strong and room filling. Kind of smells like Memo Marfa in a way. I need to see the dry down but not bad

Literally THE best performing fragrance (WEEKS on puffers and coats) and top 20 unique scent profiles i own point blank period cut the cameras.

I was swayed by the “This perfume reminds me of” section that voted Mughal Fort similar to Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit (currently at 25 yes to 10 no). I have still not smelled that seasonal wonder. Closest I have come is smelling Miim Miic 44, but I was now wowed by their take. I don’t remember 44 smelling like Mughal Fort. I also love that this is compared to a celeb perfume I don’t know (Minuit et Demi) and a Penhaligon’s fragrance, since I admire that UK brand. This is a like and not a love because I am now picky about my Lattafa offerings. If I detect a mashup of previous releases I find it uninspired. The spices in this one don’t come across as pimento and cardamom but Khamrah and a little Petra. Maybe it’s a scent molecule meant to amp up the power, because this scratches my brain the same way PDM Valaya does. So I would have guessed aldehydes are a note. There is something smoky and waxy like a crayon to my nose once this is on my skin. I get vanilla and caramel. I get sweetness so I will call that the Amber. The “power” I will designate to the musk. It is a nice-smelling perfume, and I get a lovely sillage. Found for $29.99 at TJ Maxx in Jan 2026. This operates like a Bond No. 9 fragrance to my nose. I get modern, not dated, spiced, strong, sweet, and as unisex as Khamrah would be.

Alright lads and ladies...let's talk about this one. Soapy, slightly spiced with a detected floral component. To me, while listed as unisex, it does lean feminine and there is more versatility in it than what this suggests. Can be worn all seasons even summer though maybe summer nights and go easy on that trigger because of the underlying warmth. It lasts. This can be dressed up or down but may lean towards more casual wear. Nothing ground breaking. Smells like the merger of other scents. 3.5/5 overall

I bought it used several months ago.. never really reached for it. Was thinking about selling it. But I tried it again now, that is has been sitting for some time (dont know how long previous owner had it), it is actually really nice. It's soft spicy, warm feminine, a little bit floral. I get the caramel, the spices. It's now well blended, not screetchy at all. I get sweet dates/caramel, warmth, like i picture a warm, soft date chai-spiced creamy tea, wrapped in an angora sweater

Dark, sexy, sultry and surprisingly complex for such an inexpensive fragrance. I don’t really get the comparison to Changing Constance. 8.5/10

It smells nice but personally don't think it's anything special. Though, the scent is definitely not boring I just don't think it's good enough that i'd buy one, especially since these are more expensive. Lattafa (and other ME fragrance (dupes)) have equally good if not better fragrances for a lower price. Also definitely agree with @ladym00nlight, to me it could smell very nice but it has this overpowering note that takes the enjoyment down. HOWEVER, the longevity and sillage on this is massive, so at the same time you definitely get a lot of use out of this. I would probably use it if I received a bottle, don't think i'd buy it. (one would probably last me forever anyway) 6/10

First, this review is after four months of the little bottle sitting in my closet. Based on the notes and reviews, I was SURE I would love this one. I absolutely adore Minuet et Demi and Magenta Tanzanite for the bright, spicy opening and cozy gourmand notes. This is not that. The spicy pimento and cardamom are muted by the musk and something floral making it a little nauseating to me, and there is some gourmand sweetness in the dry down, but not as strong as the reviews and notes suggest. The longevity is great, so sample first, and if you love it, get it. Luckily I only grabbed a 20ml for $9.

I've had it for a month and all i get is pepper and play-doh. I dont like nor dislike it as of now, but i wish i could smell more of the sweet caramel notes. Gonna keep testing.

To me, this is a purely feminine theme — not exactly old-fashioned, but with a slightly old-school vibe. I’d agree it’s a good perfume with top quality, just not to my taste.

After 30 min smells almost identical to khamrah

Minuit et Demi / Changing Constance is one of my favourite scent profiles ever so I was excited to try a decant of Mughal Fort. It was basically a sickly nauseating rendition of that scent profile. So like a cheap caramel with a very synthetic note that made me scrub off immediately. I know Middle Eastern perfumes require maceration/maturation so maybe that had something to do with it as I tried it from a new bottle, but basically my first impressions were enough to persuade me against buying a full sized bottle. If you want a good dupe for Minuit et Demi I highly recommend Julianna's Perfumes if you're in the U.S. I own the dupe and the original and it really is spot on.

POWDERY FLORALS + MUSK with the slightest bit of sweetness wtf....... i feel extremely scammed. i have only had this fragrance for a week, But I detect no vanilla or caramel whatsoever. considering this is a damn near fifty dollar fragrance Now, I would not buy this. I will update, but I just wanted to put this out there So nobody else gets scammed like me. you literally cannot trust anything you see on fragrantica or youtube these days. i am a huge lattafa fan, so I really hope this changes But it smells absolutely fucking horrendous right now. i have never had a fragrance smell this different from the description and reviews. It's absolutely insane...

I ordered a bunch of decants and this one was among them, due to heavy praise of an influencer. When I first tried it, I thought, "What the heck was she smelling!!!!", the description was WAY OFF imo. After it sitting for close to 2 months I revisited it. I'm SO glad I did! I can only guess that it was a new or newer bottle that the decanter got it from when she sold the decant to me. Now I know when purchasing decanted Arabian fragrances, if at first sniff/test I don't like them to let them sit as well. To me, this is a lovely sweet, caramel scent. I can't stop smelling my wrist! I'm sorry that I can't be more descriptive, I'm just not on that level yet. However, I will say that this is one that definitely has to sit so that its juices can come to life. I'm going to now test out my decant and get more acquainted with this beauty. I hope I will enjoy the wear. But so far I can say that I DO want a full bottle!

I ordered Lattafa Kashan, Mughal Fort and Art of Arabia 3. Out of all 3, Kashan (the cheapest) was the best and this one was the most disappointing. It was expecting spicy toffee and it is far too lactonic for my liking, far too feminine leaning (I am female but very rarely buy 'feminine' scents, unless they are mainly fruity berries). I paid $34 and I know that is a good price but I am quite disappointed. Not what I thought it would be. And very little resemblance to Changing Constance, which was the main reason I bought it. It reminds me more of a recent pick up, the voux patisserie by Paris Corner. I am going to leave it for a week and pray it improves and becomes a bit more interesting. Good to layer, but nothing more PS - try Kashan. Its like a raspberry Carlisle. Can't stop sniffing my hand. It might smell different on male skin but its coming off as sweet and spicy and dark on mine

Unless what I smelt at the middle eastern perfume store was replaced with a different liquid (which I highly doubt knowing how hard it is to open these perfumes let alone this huge metal one) this has absolutely zero similarity to Changing Constance and I am soooooo happy I did not blind buy considering the price. No caramel, something harsh on the nose that smells like a licourice-esque synthetic chemical with something evenharsher and spicier and zero sweetness. Honestly it's probably one of the most awful perfumes I have ever smelt. I had it on my arm and on a scent strip card and I'm waiting to shower to smell the card in case my nose is contaminated with something else because I literally cannot fathom how any one said this is similiar to CC.

I might have a different batch or something, but even after letting this sit for a good while, try as I might, I cannot detect many similarities between this and Minuit et Demi (tested side by side). There's this strong, nauseating note , could be the musk, which overpowers everything else, makes it hard to enjoy the sweet spicyness of the scent.

This reminds me of the original Naomi Campbell. Spicy sweetness that’s not harsh, but fluffy and comforting. Good for cooler temperatures would love to see how it performs in warmer weather.

@MissMadHatterSammie You have to let it sit for at least a few weeks. You need to macerate a good amount of M.E. frags.. come back to it in a month or so. 99% sure it will change.

Can anyone confirm if this smells just like Changing Constance and does it perform better? I adore that scent but the longevity is terrible.

This smells like Casablanca by Swiss Arabian, very tart.
