Dopamine Rose

This is the rose fragrance PDM’s Delina should be jealous of because she is SO MUCH BETTER! It’s sweet and playful, but holds its own on date night! It’s airy yet grounded. It can be worn by all age ranges. I would say it leans feminine, but I personally love it on my partner as much as I love it on myself. I have sprayed it at 7am before leaving the house and have still been cornered at 5pm by mere strangers as they walk by to ask me what I’m wearing (with no reapplication)! Although I would consider this 100% mass-appealing, I do NOT consider it boring. This is a safe blind buy for almost anyone as the rose is NOT overbearing. The price point on the 30ml doesn’t break the bank, and the only thing I wish was that I could buy a bigger bottle. With as much as I reach for this, I see MANY back-up bottles in my future! I am excited for this new brand and cannot wait to see what they come up with next!

Dopamine Rose Extrait de Parfum by the by L’ Epoque Parfums has a bright clear fruity opening, with delicious raspberry, rhubarb, and strawberry top notes. The fruity notes are fresh, crisp & sweet to the nose. Dopamine Rose has a lovely uplifting ozonic pure Rose note that is cheerful yet gentle and wont overwhelm you like heavier cloying rose fragrances can. Imagine a sugar coated, fruity, rose pink candy and you’ll have the purist scent picture of Dopamine Rose. Suitable for any age range and leans quite feminine. These lovely notes settle gently on a fluffy bed of cashmere musk in its lengthy dry-down. Lovely sillage at the start and stays close throughout wear. Great for Spring to Summer wear.

This was such an interesting perfume to smell! It was not at all what I expected, but I ended up really loving it a lot more than I thought I would. This smells so spicy, and fruity, and just so warm and inviting while also having this really cool feeling aura. It’s well blended, and I definitely smell like some kind of cinnamon or hot tamale candy type of scent and it’s so good with all the fruit notes. I can barely smell the rose, but it is super jammy in what you can pick up and it just lends a beautiful leveling out to the rest of the spice and the juicy fruit notes in here. I really love this and now want a full bottle in my collection. so different, so unique, I just really love this.

It's really nice. I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said. The strawberry rhubarb combination is delicious, but not cloying- it's airy.. This perfume is more like a sweet rose candy than a mature dusty rose. I blind bought it, and i do think it would be a pretty safe blind buy if you like sweet-fruity-floral combination. I think it would work especially well during warm weather, spring and summer =)

It’s the cutest and tiniest bottle you’ll own but my god she is the DRAMA ! Super wearable and it almost smells like a sweet raspberry lemonade. Layers very well with other soft delicate rose fragrances if you have any in your collection. Juicy, punchy, glamorous and divine. A little goes a long way. :) 10/10 !

A kittenish, sweet-fruity rose. A sprightly fairy flitting atop a pond of fresh raspberry, rhubarb & strawberry juice. She dips & sips, her pink rose petal wings quivering w/ delight. She flutters about, eventually settling upon a sugary marshmallow cloud. Sigh! Fruity-floral fairy heaven.

This smells absolutely amazing one of they few rose frags i like as a male. when i smelt it i felt like i would not like it because of the rose but in the background i could smell the fruity candy calming the rose down which really did it for me.

I was really surprised by how much I loved Dopamine Rose because it takes the idea of a rose perfume and makes it feel modern, sweet and super easy to wear.

A few years ago my best friend gifted me a generous decant of Lubin's Black Jade, a spicy amber perfume that is allegedly a recreation of a scent created for Marie Antoinette. I really like it, and always eye the sleek glass bottle when I visit The Paris Market in Savannah. If you asked me what Marie Antoinette would be as a perfume, I wouldn't have guessed a warm, spice heavy, cold weather friendly scent. If you asked most people what Marie Antoinette would be as a flower, I bet about 90% would say rose. And there is rose in Black Jade, nestled between cardamom, cinnamon, amber, and even patchouli. Maison Francis Kurkdjian's A La Rose might be closer to most visceral imaginings of the last queen of France's aroma: a powdery rose, heavier on the flower itself, with girlish notes like lychee. I just read an article about Marie Antoinette's perfume habits, many of them scented baths, gloves, and hair perfumes rather than a collection of bottles. Rose appears, but not as much as jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose, and other florals. It's as tantalizing as it is frustrating that we will never know what Versailles in the late 18th century truly smelled like. The same goes for the countless rumors of which royals and notorious people of history did which beauty rituals or wore which perfumes.* This is a long preamble into my sample of Dopamine Rose from L'Epoque, one of the brand's two debut scents. It was an unlikely choice for Halloween morning, but Halloween is also about candy and sugar is close to decay. The aptly named Dopamine Rose is a rose sugar candy melting in your mouth. It's probably nothing like what Marie Antoinette smelled like, but it's what Marie Antoinette 2006 smells like. It has the girlish fruit top notes used in so many of these coquettish rose fragrances - rhubarb, raspberry, and strawberry - but with a dusting of marshmallow sugar. The rose is fresh and airy. Is it good? Yes! For the right moment, and maybe that's just alone in your home surrounded by the things that bring you the most extra-utilitarian joy, Dopamine Rose is a sweet little indulgence.

I get strawberry, raspberry with rose and rhubarb. Rose is the main character. The raspberry and rhubarb add a tartness. I’m getting a little strawberry shortcake plastic figurine smell. Raspberry tart.

This smells NOTHING like Delina! I own all three Delina’s, as they are my babies. I love all three for different reasons. I recently bought dopamine rose because the notes sounded absolutely amazing and right down my lane. If you’re expecting a sweet, raspberry, marshmallow rosey fragrance, then you would be sadly mistaken. I’m a rose lover through and through, and although this is a very rose dominant fragrance, I’m not really impressed with this at all. I paid 100$ for this fragrance, and it’s really only worth 50$ in my opinion. This is a VERY clean, crisp, OZONIC rose. Not an aquatic or watery rose, but extremely OZONIC. It almost smells metallic because of how strong the OZONIC notes in it is. There is NOTHING “sweet” or “sugary” about dopamine rose at all. This is probably one of my least favorite rose fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I have other “airy” and “crisp” rose fragrances like Delina Le rosee, Chloe leau Parfum intense, ect. Dopamine rose is extremely OZONIC. All I smell is a very crisp, sharp, metallic rose with zero marshmallow, raspberry, or cashmeran musk. I don’t smell any of those notes. All I smell is rose and OZONIC notes. Theirs nothing feminine about this rose. It’s not my style and I absolutely adore rose anything. This fragrance has zero sweetness, don’t let the notes fool you. The notes fooled me into blind buying, so I wanted to get on here and let you all know how this fragrance really is. I’ve thought about letting it macerate to see if the other sweeter notes might come out, but I still don’t think I’ll like it due to how strong the metallic OZONIC notes are. I don’t like this. It makes me sad because the notes sounded delicious, but honestly theirs nothing delicious about this fragrance to me and I’m a DIE HARD rose lover. It’s the metallic OZONIC notes that ruin the entire juice for me. I just can’t get past those notes. Even when this dries down theirs still nothing sweet about it. All I smell is a green crisp rose and an extremely metallic OZONIC intertwined through it. I’m thinking of selling it, so comment back if you want to purchase on my mecari.

😭 Marshmallow & raspberry are 2 of my favorite notes but this is far too sweet & a little sour due to the rhubarb. Like a sour patch kid left in the garden to ferment.

This is stunning. I’m a certified rose hater and I adore this fragrance. Truth be told almost every scent I love does have rose in the background but I despise pure rose, vintage rose, sharp rose, rose water, green rose, etc. You get the picture. But I can get down with fruity/fresh/sweet rose. And that is what is happening here. Also, I’m someone that gets no longevity out of any fragrance; my skin just eats it. But this I can smell on myself for hours. However, I don’t think it has any projection at all. My friend commented that they were surprised that I neglected to put on any perfume on the day that I was wearing half of the bottle of Dopamine Rose (topped off many times that day too). They know me as the friend with all the fragrances and I had assumed they were wondering what had smelled so good all day. But I guess I was the only one smelling it. So this might be an intimate scent. This reminds me vaguely of Narciso Musc Noir Rose without the animalic musk as well as Michael Malul Sangria & Saffron.

I was so excited when I got this in the mail today. At first spray I knew it was very similar to something else in my collection. Commodity Juice. It’s so similar that at least initially, I couldn’t tell the difference. Unfortunately, it’s very strong so 2 sprays was 1 spray too many. I need to scrub it off and use a much lighter hand. I’m going to give it another chance. Hopefully, the dry down is better because at this point, it’s not for me.

This is sexy. Tart & Fruity. Feminine and spicy. The fragrance does last. It reminds me of the color magenta. It begins rosy but ends on a very spicy self-assured note.

I’m obsessed with Rose fragrances lately and I really like this one. I also got it for $100 the day before the price increase.

I’m surprised no one is comparing this to Angel nova by Mugler. I feel like they smell the same, but Angel Nova is stronger

Wow, no, not for me. Not a safe blind buy if you like sweet rose scents. This is verrrrrry tart, probably from the rhubarb.
