Magnolia Supercritique

Notes Orange blossom, apricot, peach, fig, ylang ylang, sweet vanilla, osmanthus. The sweetness approaches a honey scent but stops short of being honeyed. So delicious and intoxicating but definitely not cloying, Although I wear this anytime, it does bring spring to mind. Absolutely gorgeous!! Xerjoff 400 is a similar perfume (for reference only) in the scent profile however 400 is more dense and has a definatenate honey note. I also get more osmanthus in 400 even though it is not listed as a note wear time about 11 hours

A refined, bright and delicate perfume! An explosion of serenity, an intimate caress. It is a shy but evocative perfume! Nice surprise, I really like it! Sillage: 6.5/10 Longevity: 7./10 Scent: 8./10 Overall: 8./10

My review is also based on the actual notes. To start with, I found this scent challenging, especially the opening. It begins like a sour, yellow, dusty flower, then moves into something that reminds me of a cleaning product, and eventually morphs into a honeyed floral. I’m not usually a fan of osmanthus, but here, blended with other tropical flowers, it doesn’t feel out of place. If I manage to ignore the opening and heart notes, on the drydown I can imagine something soft, creamy, and fresh, something reminiscent of magnolia. Either there is actual magnolia in here, or they were trying to create something similar with the composition. But the sweetness never quite leaves, and that’s what disappointed me. I’m not saying this to make a direct comparison, but ever since Eau de Magnolia by Frédéric Malle, I haven’t fully loved another magnolia scent.

Magnolia is one of the few white florals that actually like But my only problem is that usually magnolia is associated more with hygiene products such as shampoo and body shower And the same issue is here as well It nice clean yellow floral Weak and none projecting It’s a good scent but not something I’d pay the price for Good but not enough to impress

I will write a more detailed review after buying a full bottle (maybe), this review is based on 3 full wearings in Finnish summer (15-20c). First of all there is not Magnolia here!!! The name is super misleading. And despite those tropical notes which sounds heavy, this is very beautiful, subtle and tender. It's not creamy, nor citrusy or sweet or that kind of fruity which makes you want to eat them. First it somewhat fresh and it develops into utterly smooth, warm and charming scent which is irresistible when smelling close to the skin. It doesn't project and a sillage is minimal so this is suitable for intimate moments.
