Curve Connect for Men

Another Curve flanker?!?! Yes, BUT, this one is well worth the price! It's a very nice tea scent, I say somewhere along the lines of Gucci Pour Homme II but a tad sweeter and with added florals. The opening is great and the drydown is even better! It opens up with a sharp tea leaf thats very fresh, green, and semi-sweet, but, within 15 minutes or so, the light woods and spice appear and really balance the scent well. Do I smell tobacco? A bit but not too much, which is okay. The scent itself actually reminds me of Arizona Green Tea, but of course a bit deeper than that. Though this fragrance isn't at all complex (as you can tell by the note breakdown) nor groundbreaking, it's still very well done and actually not as synthetic as one may think, especially for a Liz Claiborne fragrance. It's actually very pleasing, rich, and different from most of the things readily available today. The longevity and sillage are wonderful as well! I get 8-10+ hours on my wearings and the well above average projection seems to give me compliments every 5 minutes! For $15-$20 bucks for a 4.2 oz, I'd say that's a deal!

I'm surprised that this does not get more or better reviews. I think people dismiss it because of its connection to a lesser brand like L. Claiborne. I was also surprised by a review on youtube.com that made it out as teenager's scent. It's definitely casual but a nice type of casual that is "sparkling" or "cool" to me. I think it is worth a try, especially since you're not paying much for it.

This fragrance is underrated and maybe because it's a flanker but u can wear this all year around and gets decent longevity,better to spray on cloths but women love the smell of this fragrance and I got a bottle for 14 bucks at Ross,u can't go wrong with this

Sandal wood, tea, cinnamon, raspberry is basically what this smells like. This and aeropostale maximum are the fragrance that got me into fragrances so they will always hold a special place in my heart. Sits right next to my bottles of wulong cha and ghp2 :)

I've always liked the original Curve. Very interesting and nostalgic scent for me. Reminds me of High school. I never was one for flankers so I never would even have known how any of them smelled. I'm so glad I changed my mind one day and decided to give the flankers a smell. Connect is one of my favorite ones. It has it's own identity but u can still detect the subtle Curve DNA. It's very well done. I'm not one to be able to break down notes at all. Never have been. I just enjoy my fragrances. This one opens up beautifully in my opinion. If u like Curve u will appreciate this for sure. This is Curve for the grown and sexy if u ask me. I dont know why anyone would call this a teenage scent. To each his own though. I cant argue with what anyones nose tells them. To me, this scent works well for close encounters. Great for a date night scent with someone you've been out with a few times. She will definite enjoy this on u and want to cuddle up more for sure. Its works great for a bed scent ro be honest. Doesnt perform well enough for me to really wear it at work. But I have found myself wearing a completely different fragrance for work but still spray Connect on my wrist so that I can smell it myself throughout the morning. It's real faint by afternoon though. I'd have to carry a decant any repeat throughout the day if I wanted any decent kind of longevity with this one. That's why I wear it how I wear it. It's one of my favorite Curve flankers. I got a thing for the Curve scents.

I was a little bit leery of ordering this one online, because it's only availble in the big 4 ounce bottle. However, I found a website that sells samples of this one, bought one from them, and was pleasantly surprised, so I went ahead and ordered the full bottle. If you're not sure on this one, I recommend doing the same and ordering the sample. This doesn't really smell like anything else in the Curve line, it's kind of the oddball in the bunch. There's an odd note in the background that I've noticed runs throughout all the Curve fragrances, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but it lets you know you're smelling a Curve fragrance when you smell it. That's not necessarily a bad thing to me, because except for one Curve fragrance (Black, which I've also reviewed), every Curve fragrance I've tried is actually very good. I noticed the two main notes people have voted on are Sandalwood and Tonka Bean, which is what initially piqued my interest in the fragrance, but I can't really seem to smell either note in this fragrance. It does have a clean yet woody smell, though, if that makes sense. At any rate, it's a good fragrance, and I keep this as a backup wear to my Royal Copenhagen. I'll wear this if I'm going to a family event where my sisters are (one of them does NOT like Royal Copenhagen, mainly because of the musk note), or on days when I want to change it up a little bit, so this makes for a nice substitution.

I rarely write negative reviews because to each his own is my motto but this one kinda deserves it. So I blind bought this because I like all of the curve fragrances I've ever bought, I have three others, plus I like sandalwood. I also bought it because others have said it has more than just two notes despite what fragrantica points out. This was disappointment only for the reason that I'm picking up basically just sweet yet slightly sharp sandalwood in this fragrance. Again I like the smell of sandalwood but I was expecting a little bit more complexity, even from a curve flanker. Another sad thing about Connect is that it only lasts about 4 hours on my skin. Kind of a waste of my $15, if I wanted straight up sandalwood I could have gotten a scented oil from a street vendor for 3 bucks. I will use this for bathroom business deodorizer because it basically smells like sandalwood Airwick room spray.

Curve Connect is what is it, a slightly above average fruity woody typical young person's smell. What makes it stand a bit above the crowd is the opening tea note, which is very interesting. Its too bad these notes fade away fast, and I'm left with a rather generic cologne smell. That being said, I don't really regret purchasing this for my collection. It is pretty good, just not fantastic. Besides, I am trying to collect all the Curve flankers, so I was going to purchase this anyway. Not bad stuff, I give it maybe a 7/10. Edit: Actually, I was wearing this the other day, and I could smell faint but detectable traces on it all day. I think what it is, is that Curve Connect is a subtle fragrance best appreciated in close quarters. Its sweet but masculine smell is growing on me. It is pretty decent stuff.

A good addition to the Curve line, and a competitive flanker. I blind bought this one as it was on sale one day, and have loved it ever since. In most ways, I actually much prefer it to the original Curve. It is potent, long lasting, and has more character to it. This is usually my 'off-day' scent, as I enjoy wearing it on my days off, or when going to bed for the night. I am one of those that must always have a scent on, and this works well for those times when it is just me and the wife, and I don't want to utilize my designer fragrances for a day off. I believe I purchased this one for around $16-19, which is a great price if you can also find it. Projection- 6/10 (Leaves a good trail/ cloud) Longevity- 6/10 (A good 5-6 hours- not bad for a cheap cologne) Versatility- 8/10 (Whenever!)

Trascents on Youtube accurately describes this as a cherry cream soda with woods opening. The tonka bean and vanilla are definitely there to create that cream soda effect, but the cherry smell doesn't hold after the top dissipates in 5-10 minutes, becoming more of a tea scent with the slightest hint of tobacco and mostly overpowered by the tonka vanilla and some herbal earthiness. Raysmooth is right on the mark about this being extremely versatile and flexible enough to be worn any season, any time of day. Not bad at all and a good budget scent value that college and high school students can use in their rotation. Not remarkable either, if you have gotten your nose on higher quality juice. A good value, but a bit cloying if you wear this frequently. 7/10

Prior reviewers have mentioned tea as a note, and I would agree. Does anyone detect cedar? Maybe it's the sandlewood note, but it seems more like cedar. I have Quorum Silver (noted for it's prominent cedar), so I have a reference standard. Although Curve Connect is substantially different compared to Quorum Silver, I definitely get cedar. Also, Connect somewhat reminds me of Jean Marc Paris Tatoo (sold at Marshalls). Relative to other Curve flankers, Connect seems a bit more "mature".

Red would seem to the average person to indicate a berry fragrance. But in the sometimes quirky world of perfumery, red often means...cinnamon. And so it is that here we have a big dose of cinnamon (not listed in the pyramid) mixed with tea and airy notes as well as some cherry nuances, creating a strange juxtaposition.

Warm and sweet...in addition to wearing in certain weather, I agree with the color of the bottle...I wear this scent when wearing certain colors, such as red, sand, and other fall hues. It just seems to make sense. And like other products from the Curve line, it has fantastic longevity. 8/10, no doubt.

I paid $10 for a 95% full bottle at a thrift store yesterday. It's a dumb reach that smells good. It's nothing I'd wear on a date or to an important meeting. But for a dumb reach on a super casual day/night, there's nothing wrong with this at all.

i like tea note in perfumes and Curve connect is not an exception. connect starts with a fruity-tea smell then moves to fruity-tobacco smell. all in all a very good pleasant fragrance IMO. Spray it on clothes and it will stick there.

A strong, powerful mixture of vanilla, tea, and fruits. I like this, but it sadly has mediocre performance. Don't pay over 20. 7.5/10

To my nose, this doesn't smell like its notes. Reminds me of grass jelly. A favorite drink of mine when I was younger.

This is one of the fragrances I love a lot but it doesn't project at all and it lasts only about 30 minutes on me.

Smells something like an energy drink along the lines of Rockstar and Crunk Juice mixed. Of the notes suggested tonka bean seems the most true to the scent although I also get something almost berry along with a streak of woody/floral which must be the sandalwood and tobacco blossom. I could see it being likable but I won't be buying it again.

This is the only fragrance I’ve thrown away. Ive gotten compliments with it but it never smelled pleasant to my nose. It smelled too much like the perfume that old women would wear. And I hate that stereotypical old lady smell. Not saying its bad for other people but it’s a smell I personally dislike.

First sampling, on cloth: this has the same kind of fruity/tobacco/woody quality as Dior Homme and Black Walnut. The dry wood is strongest in BW, whereas in DH there is the powdery iris. Here, we have a tea note offering that kind of accord some company. I'm surprised that so few have mentioned this one for those on a really tight budget, as there's nothing "wrong" with it. If you find that it has poor longevity try spraying on your shirt. It's not complex but even DH gets simple after a few hours, at most. The good thing here is that if you like this kind of major accord it seems to last longer than it does in DH, though with the tea note tint to it. I think many have dismissed this one without giving it a fair chance, but I'll let those people pay huge prices for "vintage" DH while I have a good laugh and spray liberally (if I feel I need to) with my bottle of Connect. UPDATE: Full wearing: This is quite good, natural smelling and with some dynamism. It's mostly a tea scent for me, but there is a hint of tobacco and woods. I have yet to find a tea fragrance I like, but I think this will be the first. I applied a couple hours ago and it's still going strong, though I used an extra spray (3 in total, to the chest). I don't detect any calone or iso e super, thankfully, and I'm surprised that this one has gotten any bad reviews. For the price, if you think you are going to get a better fragrance than this I'd say you need to learn a few things about the pricing in this industry. There are some good dollar store "knockoffs," but other than those, you can't beat the price here (and this one is good from start to finish). I'll update if there is a problem with longevity.

This is surprisingly an awesome scent, underrated. I get a smooth fruity, tea and woodsy scent. This is the best one of the curve line up, even better than the original. The only negatives is that its synthetic and doesnt last, but this should please the average designer buyer though. I got it from Burlington Coat Factory for 15 dollars. Aimed at the younger crowd. This turns heads. One of those designer scents I wore back then before I moved on to niche ones. Fragrantica doesn't list all of the notes. The notes are Tea, Cedar, Plum, White Melon, Cactus Flower, Saffron, Cinnamon and Sandalwood. Base notes >patchouli, Tahitian Vanilla and Amber crystal

This was released in 2008, the same year as Dirty English, and right when designer brands were starting to introduce synthetic ouds into the mainstream lexicon of dirt-cheap dumb reaches. Connect starts with a startling synthetic oud, then rapidly dries down to a pleasant synthetic sandalwood base. Not much in between, but sometimes the bookends have more character than their holdings.

Great blind buy here that's been in my collection for awhile. Din't like too much at first but like it after smelling it on others and giving another wearing. This actually smells like a fresh pack of regular unfiltered cigs; ie pall mall reds. My grandpa smoked those and I know the aroma.. I get that full natural sweet unlit tobacco scent. Smokers might like this one lol

Not terrible not great I use it to spray my room LOL my brother needed some juice one day so I told him to pick whatever and wow he thought it was perfume cause my girls collection is right beside mine but I has a great opening real woodsy and tobacco doesn't project well but great air freshener tho

I got a vial sample from ebay. It's cool, fresh, and sharp. Longevity is moderate (3-5 hours) on my skin. Since I live in Southeast Asia which is hot along the year, Curve Connect seems to fit quite well to the environment. I think it's as cool and sharp as Versace Metal Jeans.

Sweet opening, and I only get the tea a little bit. Then it is powdery. Then I get dry hay. Finally a smooth and sweet vanilla sets in. Then it is gone. Either it does not last long enough, or it stays too close to my skin. It sadly does not waft up from inside my shirt.

You really don't smell the tonka bean. Just the sandalwood... Super cheap, doesn't last long & sillage isn't great. Last 3-5 hours and sits close to the skin. I only bought it to have it, Since curve was my first cologne. 4.2 oz bottle $16.00

I also bought this one as part of a package (Curve crush, curve, Usher abd UR). Curve connect is by far the best. Great for days when you want to wear something soft but not feminine. Until I purchased this one Curve Kicks was my favorite.

i have come to realize that this isn't as sweet as i thought it was at first. it smells almost IDENTICAL to gucci sport! i love gucci sport and have found a cheap version of it

i don't get this one at all...when i first spray it i get what smells like pickles...i am not kidding...after that it just kinda goes away...

A clear step down from the original Curve. It's supposed to be warm and sensual, but departs too far from the original. Just don't like it.
