Curve Wave

Remarkably well-composed for a frag in this price range. It's crisp, clean, ozonic, maybe slightly aquatic, but all the notes blend together extremely well, so that none stands out much above the others. It's fresh green, it's citrus, it's aquatic, airy, and chypre-like all at once, but strangely none of those really dominate. Definitely for summer, and I strongly recommend day wear. I know others have reported weak performance, but this is a powerhouse on my skin. Sillage is not enormous, but above average for me, which is great, because it keeps it from becoming cloying. Longevity is unbelievable for this price range! And even if you had to apply a second, or even third spritz throughout the day...at around $17 for a 4.2oz bottle, who cares? Yes it's a bit linear, doesn't change too much from application to dry down, but it's one of the most pleasantly simple frags I've ever tried. I buy this one over and over and almost always have some on hand. I don't wear it much in winter, so if I run out in the fall, I'll usually wait until spring. Does that mean it's my signature scent? I'm not sure, but so far, it's one of only two fragrances I keep buying. The other is Jil Sander's Sander for Men, which I LOVE for fall and winter! If you love a cool, clean, crisp, invigorating, youthful scent, there's no better bang for the buck than Curve Wave. 9/10 (only because it's so linear. Otherwise would easily be a 10)

Man, this stuff is so good! Last time I bought it, I think I paid $17 and change. It’s now $13 on FragranceNet. This lasts remarkably well on me and it performs great for a freshie. Cool, crisp, clean, ozonic, and not too redundant of any other fresh summer fragrance that I’m aware of. It’s hard to be unique with freshies and this one pulls it off. It’s not terribly complex or sophisticated but it’s not supposed to be. It's a “gym” type scent, but it actually performs too well for the gym, which is a great problem to have. I don’t know about the note pyramid here. Anise? Mint? Where? Juniper and citrus, sure. I think there’s a white musk in the base as well which in unlisted here. I always want this in my collection as a hot weather dumb reach. Although linear, very approachable and unpretentious. Cool for the summer, baby! 😎 I love this stuff, no apologies! 10/10

When I started getting into fragrance this was early star fragrance when I purchased the original curve. I love this fragrance. Its very crisp invigorating and easy to wear. Remind me of going to the beach with a sunny breezy wind hitting my face. Longevity is not so good. I get about 4 hours of longevity. But the price is cheap that your not loosing a lot of money for what you paid for. Great for teenagers. And for those who want to smell good but don't want to spend all the money on expensive fragrances this one is good to start with. Its better than body spray such as axe. But don't buy it at retail store online is best to get this at cheaper price. great for the hot summer days.

I found a 4.2-ounce bottle of Curve Wave at Ross for $14.99 yesterday. I figured it would be weak and that the top notes would be its forte, so I sprayed it on my shirt today. It smells much different than it did on paper. I loved it on paper. On my shirt, it's still pretty nice and is very refreshing, but it definitely smells different than on paper. I'm surprised at how much it reminds me of Acqua di Gio! It does take a lot of extra sprays to make it as strong as Acqua di Gio, but since it's so much cheaper, I'll probably still come out ahead.

i like this stuff. i feel like its fairly unisex but it leans masculine. very soapy and smells like an unnamed shampoo. i like it and feel like its nice. the cool thing about these EDC concentrations is that they are subtle and can be synthetic without being super screechy. if you want to smell clean but not like you're chasing tail in a club then maybe this is for you. it wouldnt be hard to find a deodorant that pairs well with this.

Absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect substitute for my discontinued Echo. Maybe even nicer. Longetivity and sillage are both not that great, but seeing the lightness and very reasonable price you can reapply frequently without worries. Great for hot summer days, beach, sport. Makes me very curious about the other curves. Will have this one standard in mij summer collection. A solid 9 ☺️

I have tried over 50 fragrances in the past two months and this is easily among the best smelling. $12 and it's shitting all over the likes of overhyped trash like Eros and CK One and D&G Light Blue and everything from Paco Rabanne. Moderate performance, disappears from skin at like 8 hours, but great sillage and last on clothes for a week.

Got this for my friend for last Christmas, but now I’m wishing I got it for myself. Very good for the price, and it has a citrus scent that I smell more than the aquatic. I think it lasts longer than people say, but it goes from good projection to sitting near the skin. I think this is a safe blind-buy.

Very nice citric aromatic burst. Moderate in all senses, great for refreshing. Fresh out of shower scent. No complaints for the price, perfect for a teenager. Unisex leaning male. Reminds of Misoni Wave when close to skin

Just got this a few days ago as I used to wear it awhile back. Was surprised how much it reminded me of Pacific Aura (LV Pacific Chill dupe) with the mint and citrus smells. Good stuff and very light, non offensive.

The original batch gets compliments!! REALLY good underrated juice!!!!!! It went to my top. I get salty watermelon, geranium,, something animalic, and soft citric woods or musk. Really good!

Soapy and clean cheapie. I spray this right out the shower before bed tbh. Performance and longevity is okay at best but i don't wear this out. This is a loungewear type fragrance for me.

My favorite summer scent! I wish it lasted longer! I smell more watermelon than lemon though. Every time I wear Versace PH, my wife thinks it is Curve Wave! They do smell similar.

Grapefruit, mandarin and lime blast off the top and make Curve Wave an invigorating, refreshing energy boost that perfectly fits warmer climates or summer days/evenings. The citrus dominates the top all the way through, making the blend rather linear but for that there should be no apologies. This is a fun, youthful citrus bomb that lacks the big projection to ever get nauseating or cloying and though rather fleeting, Curve Wave seems to hold to the skin rather well and flickers in and out even when the wearer may not be aware it's still there. Curve Wave is linear all the way through, even the juniper and anise are simple background extras in the entire affair, making brief and subtle appearances on occasion but never managing to keep court with the citrus. The base is a very soft and fluffy musk that allows the citrus to extend into the drydown over the top. It's all very simple and targeted at teens, but refreshing and enjoyable enough that for its incredibly affordable price, may suit you perfectly on a summer vacation or trips to the pool, lake or casual summer affair. If you like citrus and a bit of an aromatic backdrop but don't feel compelled to get too complicated with the note pyramid, Curve Wave is a nice cologne to have in the arsenal that won't dent your budget. Scent: 6.0 (Linear, pure high-pitched citrus) Development: 3.0 (Beyond the musky base, no evolution) Longevity: 7.0 (Underrated for an aquatic, ranges from 3-8 hours, was very spotty, but seems to be one in which the wearer doesn't smell it as much as others seem to notice it) Sillage: 5.0 (Not great performance, but the subtlety in this one is what gives it its personality, too much projection would have made this one cloying and unattractive given its linear quality) Overall:6.0 Nothing sophisticated, Curve Wave is enjoyable nonetheless, with a surprisingly organic blend of citrus (orange, lime and graperfuit) and toned down projection that allows them to settle into the skin without ever getting cloying. A fun, uplifting fragrance that for its price, is nothing to look down at. Enjoyable.

This has been a permanent fixture in my summer fragrance wardrobe since it was released in 2005. I recently picked up a new bottle and it has been reformulated, for the better IMO. In previous formulations, the dry down felt a little stale and almost sour at times. With this latest batch, it stays fresh. It is by no means a complex fragrance, and has always been quite linear. But for $15, it's about as fresh and versatile of a summer buy as you can make. Additionally, it appears that EA Fragrances has changed the structure of their batch codes, so I'm not entirely positive when this one released. They used to be four or five digit alphanumeric codes. This one is a six-digit code (N18226A), which I'm assuming means it was produced sometime in 2018. Anyway, the bottle is slightly different as well. In older versions, the glass was entirely frosted, and now it comes in a clear bottle with a wrap-around label that gives the appearance of frosted glass. Also, the little plastic clip-on trigger guard is now light green instead of blue.

This and the original Curve will always rotate in and out of my collection for as long as they are still in production. Since the Curve frags are EDC concentrations, I almost exclusively use them as my go-to gym scents. This is so light and fresh, I can easily blast 6-8 sprays and not choke anyone our. When I heat up while lifting, it does project some, but it's never bothersome to anyone. I'll even get the occasional compliment while wearing this while training. Due to the edc concentration, I don't get more than 2-4 hours of noticeable performance. Typically I only wear it for about 90 minutes in total when training, so it is shortly washed off in the shower. I also enjoy wearing it as a nostalgia spray, which takes me back to being in my early 20's and putting this on before heading out to socialize and party during the summer. If you want something priced right ($20 for a 4.2ml) that is light and easy to wear to the gym, or daytime casual, then this is a no-brainer to buy.

Got this in a mini as a gift from my best friend and after trying it out immediately sought out a larger spray and the atomiser really broadcasts the scent more than dabbing it on out of a coffret bottle... Simple, fresh and clean this summer(?) version of Curve is simply delicious. It starts out with watery citrus notes that have juniper (green and aromatic) blended with blue mint (softer than green) and a dash of anise. The liquid oxygen note listed above is probably the heavier 'ozone & calone' note that makes it seem airy and watery at the same time. This finishes on a sun-bleached musk note, clean and light... Sillage: okay, airy Longevity: typical Overall: 3.25/5 This is an aquatic par excellance for me because it has an almost ethereal quality about it. I have worn it and thought it was gone too soon and had several people tell me how good and fresh I smelled. Its aqueous, airy and slightly spicy-green without feeling too muddled...

I actually only picked up a bottle of this because I loved the way it looked, and only glanced at the notes a couple of times. However, this was definitely a successful blind buy! I didn't know what to expect but I think it's definitely pretty unisex, and I got two compliments wearing it out. For the opening notes, I get lots of spice, and I can pretty clearly sense the mint. As it dries down into the middle notes, I get this beautiful sweet aquatic scent with lots of those citrus notes. It's not very spicy at all at this point, more "fresh, just out of the shower". At the base, it returns to that spicy green accord, while still being soft and woody. One of the only downsides to this is its sillage and lasting power - after an hour or two I could barely detect this on my skin. Nevertheless, it's a cute, clean scent that I'll definitely spray on the days I want to smell the most masculine.

For a cheap cologne, it's not bad. It's much more than a citrus; it has a stringence (maybe the mint-anise combo) that makes it mysterious and not all just about the citrus. You could get away with wearing this at night. definitely a party/casual scent. I actually find it more clean and refreshing than most "summer"/"blue"/"citrus" fragrances out there (despite how boringly similar most of those type tend to be, Wave is definitely unique). Don't be a snob....give this one a try. Yes, like the description, it reminds me of the ocean. But not mid-summer ocean. More like walking on a beach in early May or late August as it's starting to cool down.

Citrus,ginger,mint and powdered sugar. Little floral in there also. I see a guy at a very casual outdoor gathering in summer that wants to smell easy going,sociable and jovial. It's different than any other fragrance in my collection. This really smells like a cocktail drink as it's citrus,minty,sweet and a little boozy. The mint has a cooling effect at first that I also found interesting. It starts very citrus. But let it settle after 10 minutes and it will develop into a nice soft blend of aforementioned notes resulting in an almost sugary lemonade with mint scent. The bad part is it has poor longevity. Like 4 hrs max even on clothes.

This was a blind buy for me at a discount store. Less than $20. I got it because I tend to favor "wave" or "aqua" fragrances. To me it's very well balanced where nothing seems to jump out. Just an overall fresh and crisp scent that projects pretty well with just a few sprays and performs well for a freshie. I use it in the morning and touch up again in the mid-late afternoon with 2-3 sprays which gets me through till bedtime. It's bright and refreshing for those spring and summer days and even works well (to me) on crisp early fall days. I like it for casual evenings out too. I'd say it's in my top five value-wise.

This is a very simple scent, but a very pleasing one. On me it begins with a synthetic, alcoholic burst, but quickly settles into a fresh citrusjuniper combo. On my skin it is surprisingly long lasting for a freshie. For a hot summer day, this is the perfect dumb reach scent for shorts and a t-shirt at an outdoor bar. It does remind me quite a bit of Liz Claiborne Men from the early nineties and while it doesn't feel dated, it does fall into that category of 90's clean citrus frags. For $15 at TJ Maxx, this one definitely punches above its weight for what it is!

I quite enjoy this fragrance. While it may not be extraordinary, I find it has a distinctive scent that sets it apart from most aquatic fragrances. It has a tingling sensation in the nose that evokes the air at sea, though it’s quite pungent. However, it’s pleasantly so. To ensure it lasts for a full 8 hours, you’ll need to spray it about 7-9 times. The price is reasonable, and you get a substantial amount of cologne for the money. So, spraying a bit more isn’t a problem.

My first ever fragrance. It smells pretty nice, just a sweet clean, 2000s-esque summer scent. I wear this to the pool, beach, gym, and just all the places where you don't need a crazy strong fragrance. One weird thing about this one is that if you spray it on something and leave it for like a week it has a subtle body odor type of smell, which is pretty gross but I don't smell that when I spray it on my body. 8/10, it has a very useful place in my collection.

This is a gym freshie for me. I’ll put in two sprays before leaving the house and never offend anyone. It’s citrus green spicy and aromatic. It just smells clean and nice while avoiding the soapy smell altogether. By the end of my workout its nuances have come out a bit and the wood begins to add a little depth. Solid ultra cheap fragrance that would be suitable for daytime spring/summer/early fall gatherings.

A nice bright airy fruity fresh cologne. Starts quite sweet and pretty pleasant. Then turns citrussy and a bit sour (with mint) and fresh. A good summer men's scent. Not overpoweringly strong so it's nice to spritz on throughout the day. The negative is that it's one-dimensional but it's a goodie. If this were more potent - Wave would be amongst the nicest citrusses.

I'm really really liking this, and so is my girl friend. As said many times, its fresh, clean, citrusy and overall really nice in my opinion. What's interesting about this is it lasts FOREVER on my skin. I sprayed 3 sprays on at 8am, went to the gym during the day, and took a shower around 8pm and I could still easily smell it before I went to bed.

This is a good value scent that is minty fresh with a twist of citrus. It does not project very strongly at all, but it lasts an average amount of time as a skin scent. It is also fairly linear, and that's not a knock against it. It smells good, and would be at home on anyone. See also: Hugo Iced by Hugo Boss.

Soapy, slightly spicy, slightly unique but linear. Uplifting, comes in fat bottles and cheap so don’t be afraid to reapply. Good summer daily driver, good gym fragrance. Good gift for adolescent children. Kind of uplifting.

I really strangely like to wear this, as a woman. When you first put it on you kind of smell like man whore, but after it dries down it's so biting and fresh.

Pretty good scent profile but lacks tremendously in performance. This is good for hot days, casual wear around the house or running errands. 6/10

Everything said here is accurate, but the two drawbacks that led to me abandoning this bottle are; the lime is so dominant and strong that it is a bit headache-inducing. Lovely scent, just too strong.

I'm changing my earlier review on this one. The first small spritz seemed nice & somewhat like Burberry Summer, but after a full day of wearing it, it was really astringent & abrasive. It was very sour, but not just tart; more like rancid or spoiled fruit. Also I sprayed it on my clothes, which was a big mistake as this rancid note stayed for hours & hours. I'm guessing it's the anise note that's combining with the citrus & mint that's creating the abrasive vibe. I like citrus & mint, but the anise ruins this one for me. Anyway, some may enjoy it (it kind of reminds me of Chrome, which also has a rancid, spoiled note to me). But be sure & give it a full wearing to determine. A very small spritz of this one can be deceiving.

Immediately I get a splash of ozone and alcohol followed by lots and lots of cheap soap, juniper bush and bitter citrus pith and deodorant. Sorry, folks this one is not for me. Frankly I'm not a big fan of aquatics to begin with and this might be slightly better than some of the others; however, it's not good. I do get a slight oceanic waft, but, it's the acrid scent coming off of the ocean after a long hot day with no breeze (i.e. not the pleasant sweet scent of an ocean breeze through the sea side vegetation.) To me, on me, it smells more like old fashioned hand soap than it does a cologne. It's not so offensive that I immediately washed it off but it's not one that I feel compelled to trying again.

Not very complex or expensive which is fine by me. Only problem I have is that I can't seem to pick this frag up much because I have so many better ones. The longevity and sillage is not great which is expected out of an inexpensive fragrance like this. Could be great for a teen because it is fresh and cheaper. 6.5 stars out of 10 Would be great for a teen looking for an inexpensive fresh frag.

Kudos if you get more than 3 hours from it. I usually get no more than 2. Too bad because it opens very strong. The citrus elements are extreme fro about 15 minutes before some mint makes it way through. That's really all you get from Wave. Sillage is soft and the scent is good just weak. I recommend Bvlgari Aqua.

I'm not a big fan of Curve fragrances but I found this one lying around. I don't like this fragrance too much but I think this might be acceptable at the beach and only at the beach. 3/10 for me

Didn't like the smell.... i was expecting something nice but i was disappointed! i sprayed it on my skin...

Curve wave has poor longevity and poor sillage. It smells like oranges which doesn't impress me. I don't want to throw it away so I'm currently using it as a bathroom atomizer.

Let me start off by saying for once in a long time the comparisons that people vote for a bottle to be similar to another is actually correct for once. I was ready to write this stuff off within the first five minutes upon spray. The initial blast of alcohol was telling me all I needed to know in terms of the strength of this stuff, wrong... I put this stuff on at 11am and went about my business throughout the day, and then boom, that glorious whiff of my favourite long forgotten Calvin Klein masterpiece “Crave” started kicking in. This bottles a creeper too, just when you think it’s not there, it pleasantly reminds you that it is. I oversprayed maybe a little more than I should have but like I said earlier, the alcohol was so strong I thought this stuff would be weak, but it’s 7:30pm and I can’t still smell it on my skin. There’s another bottle that I found that’s also very similar to CK Crave, and that’s Jaguar Classic Motion. In my opinion this is the better CK Crave dupe, but only because you get a 125ml bottle for the same price as Jaguars counterpart which is only 100ml Longevity-6-8 hours Silage-Arms reach Versatility-10/10 Season-Summer Day or Night- Both Compliments- 2 in one day Value-10/10 Personal rating- 9/10

Curve is a never ending story of colognes, I just don't know what will be next in their line up. If the original Curve cologne (gold bottle) and Cool Water mated...then Curve Wave is their bastard child. Not the most original description but hey its easy to understand right? When I first sprayed this on me I felt I was taken to a crowded beach where I found myself drinking a water downed mojito. Its a fresh sea breeze with a mix of spices thrown up in the air. No doubt its best when worn on summer nights but it can be worn year round. The dry down is not too different from the first spray and it only last about 4 hours on me. Its simple at its core and familiar to many but at a low price it can hold its own against other colognes. So if you live for summer but live on a budget this will work. 7 out of 10

I bought this stuff at marshall's for $17. It's worth.... $17. Smells good but it's a very common fresh, citrus, aquatic scent. Smells almost identical to Davidoff Echo, only more citrus and less spice and LESS LONGEVITY. Definitely a gym fragrance or high school kid's fragrance. I would personally go for curve crush in the curve line because it can be worn in all seasons and smells more complex than wave. Also, go for claiborne sport over curve original and bora bora because they smell too closely related and CS is the best of the three. Longevity - 6/10 sillage - 6/10 scent - 7.5/10 * good for a very very tight budget but there are far better out there for a similar price.

Bought this, blind, from Marshalls for around $16 or so. Was probably the most inexpensive cologne in the store, and I was curious about it (I am a pretty big fan of Curve and most of its flankers). Upon testing it on my wrist after purchase, here are my impressions: Its definitely an effervescent, citrus, aquatic type of cologne. Remarkably well balanced and long lasting. Hard to pick up any individual notes, but almost has a lemon-lime quality to it, as well as sea notes. Most definitely a summer fragrance, leans on the casual side. May not be super versatile, but I could see just about anyone rocking this as a casual warm weather fragrance. All in all, not bad!

Just picked this up for $15 at marshall’s & i’m obsessed! It really reminded me of the classic Cool Citrus & Basil from bath & body works they made years ago. I can’t find that anywhere so I had to pick this up. I saw another review where a girl also said she loved it as well & made her feel like a man whore & i completely relate and also love that description lol. Super fresh and citrusy and i can also smell that mint very well!

Very fresh, clean, airy , easy linear scent. Not overpowering. After an hour you start to get a mild clean musky note.The longevity and sillage is not good which is expected out of an inexpensive fragrance like this. Dont be fooled in thinking that this is only a citrus fragrance. It has more to offer than just a fresh citrus glass of lemonade on a hot summer day.
