Lucky Number 6 for Men

So Ive had Lucky no. 6 for nearly a year now. When I first smelled it expecting to smell something atleast a tiny bit Similar to Fahrenheit edt like folks had been claiming, I thought "Well some people MUST have a broken noses" bc there was NOTHING in here reminding me of Fahrenheit in ther slightest. Infact it smelled sorta "Generic/Rack-Store" to me and I haven't sprayed it since then. Stored my bottle away in its box and basically forgot about it. Well just pulled it back out now after about a year completely forgetting about the "Fahrenheit association", sprayed some on my shirt just so I could maybe remember what it smelled like and then during the dry-down when I wasnt paying attention, suddenly I got what folks were talking about! YES! Im getting slight Fahrenheit vibes! WTH?! LOL! Then I remembered that folks were comparing Lucky Number 6 to it! Now of course its NOT a one to one, but dangit if It now doesn't reminded of Fahrenheit! (again during dry-down). Also there's is absolutely NOTHING "Warm/Spicey" about this scent atleast to my nose, so the comparisons to Tom Ford's-Plum Japonais are completely lost on me (As was the Fahrenheit comparisons🤔 LOL!) but I digress... I suppose that the juice needed some air introduced into the bottle so it could "Maturate" or I was simply in a different head space back then, idk, but Lucky Number 6 is quite nice now to my nose and is different enough to Fahrenheit to justify owning if you already own Fahrenheit. Also, I dont go "Nose-Blind" to Lucky Number 6 like I IMMEDIATELY do with Fahrenheit. 5 hours on skin (Same as current Fahrenheit edt) and ofcourse longer on clothes. Neat little Asian inspired bottle/Box too which looks super cool on my shelf! Me Gusta Mucho!😉

This instantly became one of my favorite scents ever. It's a shame it took me almost 20 years to discover it. It is warm, comforting and very relaxing. I've worn Fahrenheit on and off since it was first released in the late 80's and that is a scent people either seem to love or don't like at all. Lucky Number 6 is not as bold as Fahrenheit is, but I can see the parallel. When I was younger, my father gave me this glazed cherry wood jewelry box and no matter how many times I opened it, the scent of the wood flew at me in a most pleasant way. This scent reminds me of that box. There is an incense essence to it, but not in a generic incense smell that comes from cheap dollar store incense sticks. This is a warmer, mysterious, ancient kind of incense scent profile. This is what the Chinatown antique shop in the beginning of Gremlins would have smelled like, and I just love it. It isn't a beast mode powerhouse scent and doesn't make itself known nearly as much as Fahrenheit, the latter of which creates a six foot cloud around the wearer for hours, but it does radiate enough for intimate encounters, and I think that is what Lucky Number 6 was created for. I bought a second bottle of this while I still could because I don't think it is going to last long, seeing as I spray this on myself almost every night before bed. Studies show that different scents can have an effect on how long it takes someone to fall asleep, as well as their overall sleep quality. Spraying this on myself and the pillow at night before bed helps me relax and quiet my brain from the daily chaos so I can fall asleep easier.

My initial impression was that this fragrance was okay; not great, not bad, nothing special, but good for the price. I liked it, but I was somewhat disappointed with the flat-plum note which I found to be nothing like the juicy plum note one finds in fragrances such as juicy Atelier Vetiver Fatal and Tom Ford Plum Japonaise. Then again, those fragrances are many times the suggested retail price of this one. Anyway, I felt that it smelled as though McDonald's took a stab at making plum jelly. Sure, it's kind of plummy...but it's McDonald's and certainly not a delicious English Plum Jam. Well, fast-forward several years and I am still wearing Lucky Number 6, I am still enjoying this fragrances, and I love it more and more every year. I don't wear it all that often due to the number of fine fragrances in my Scent Armory, but Lucky 6 is certainly one of my top inexpensive fragrances (under $30) of all-time; it's just a terrific smelling scent for such a small price. Okay, performance isn't the greatest as it sits fairly soft and lasts about 4-6 hour on my skin. However, I do occasionally receive compliments while wearing this scent and nobody has found it offensive. In some ways Lucky Number 6 reminds me of CK One Shock...not because they smell the same, but because they surprise the wearer with how much an inexpensive fragrance can make them smile.

Some dude down there, two or three below this one, said not to expect any compliments. Well, I don't know where he's hanging out at, but I had babes complimenting me all night the first time I wore it. One woman even said, "I could go to sleep with THAT smell." These were gorgeous women, too. I didn't get any less compliments than I do with my Creed Aventus. If you've got on the right threads, where you appear to mean business, and your scent trail is Lucky Number, then you will not be going home alone, my friend ... guaranteed! This is a top-notch panty-dropper! The ONLY drawback is that you have to refresh more often than usual, but it's so inexpensive, who cares? P.S. The reviewer down there also said Lucky Number 6 has a good sprayer, and it doesn't ... at all. So maybe he wrote his review on "backwards day." P.P.S. By the way, the fine, young lady who wanted "to sleep with that smell" ... SHE DID!

A few years ago I picked this up in the mini version with knowledge of the notes, in the hope that my boyfriend would wear it. I opened it after purchasing since it wasn't a gift per se then sniffed it and kept it for myself! It's deliciously peppery in an only slightly sweet way; uncomplicated, well-blended, and wearable any time depending on whether I go for one squirt (daytime) or two (nighttime). Lucky 6 is not light but, to my nose, not heavy. Instead, it's a scent that comes off like the smell of preparing blackened chicken in your kitchen on a cast iron skillet---mouth-watering, spicy, sharp at first, and then disperses everywhere with an evenly warm olfactory melange. A good one.
