Agua de Loewe El

Although my aim was to write a review right with the first hot spring day, this fragrance made me to do it no matter the weather conditions. Power of this composition lies in its deconstructed nature whereas each components come in different timing of projection, not mixed altogether - with distinctively obvious chord and bright sillage. You may not need need to sniff your wrists, but that does not mean that you won ́t. Simply for the sheer pleasure from having Agua de Loewe Él. Before coming to fragrance itself, Loewe deserves special kudos for the presentation itself. And by presentation I mean not only bottle but also a wooden case with a logotype carved in intarsia which is a part of travel vial. While I am more of a collector than hoarder finding such a design object as this one is, truly adds more depth into whole experience from the fragrance. Touch of wood is really totally different sensation than milk glass bottle. Cedar case with cork coating inside brings a little of the Spanish aesthetic wherever you find yourself and just looking at it as a object does some tricks with perception. You can see it over my fragram. From grabbing and holding bottle to touching the cap, the creation of a serious relationship starts. I really like to think of it as a relationship because first impressions seldom tell you much about development in the future. With this aquatic slash marine opening it pays twice. Not that it smells synthetic as some previously mentioned, not at all, it smells very generic and if you stop at this moment, it is as if you walked out from the date giving no chance to develop more sympathy towards someone else. Letting the head of fragrance to lie a little and rest on your skin say for five to ten minutes works miracles. We are still rather at the start and the marine tones of anything from Aqua di Gio to Bvlgari Aqva is relevant, nevertheless tones of fruity juice come afterwards. This part is interesting rather on clothing than skin because the power of the chord is dominant and it almost seems as if it stays so for several hours. Stay in water somehow blurs the line between the heart of the fragrance and the base. That drydown border is the most delicate and interesting part of Él. Pineapple pulp tone protrudes instantly and lingers both on wet skin as well as the clothing usually after five to six hours of wearing. By this time you smell more floral, naturally floral and juicy. I enjoy that moment a lot, and for this reason I often apply fragrance three times a day, except the wrist and chest also on different layers of my outfit (linen shirt, cotton tee, additionally suede harrington) In the very drydown, after continually evaporating pine/apple chord comes warm combination of cedar and moss. I believe musk holds the composition in a stable state which enables scent to stay close to skin for very long time, over more than 16 hours. And yet, you still sense that woody chord that resembles from my point of view Kenzo Air. And while Air is my signature scent, accompanying it with Él, chosen rather intuitively as the first fragrance from this house, it has been to my surprise it blends so well with my personally established aesthetics. After such a positive experience, I naturally already have next plans with Loewe. But for this moment I am stick to that one only. Truly beautiful and promising for this season. Light to wear, independent from your actions, well balanced and versatile.

Loewe is an underrated house in the U.S., which is a shame because they have some very nice, somewhat unique fragrances for mid-level designer prices. It is not easy to produce a unique blue, but this one makes a good effort. 5 sprays to the chest and shirt still waft at the 7 hour mark, so longevity is good. This opens as a yuzu/bergamot fragrance with a strong aquatic accord. At 30 minutes, the bright citrus has softened into a juicier tone, allowing a solid (unlisted) lavender note to boost the aromatic factor, and a light bitter note probably attributable to the oakmoss. What makes this more than just a run of the mill blue, however, is the base of musk, woods and (unlisted) tonka, that increase the maturity/sophistication factor. While this is not entirely a novel approach, this is done in a ... Spanish ... style that differentiates it from the BDCs and Dylan Blues. The lavender and base notes continue to do their thing for many hours, with (unlisted) violet coming and going. The listed apple and pineapple are all but undetectable to me, and the black currant barely so. The rest of the elements work very well together, though, so if you want a high-quality, long-lasting aromatic blue woods scent that won't smell like anyone around you, you should check this one out.

Let me first tell you that I tried this only once, while trying many other scents - but I spent a good 30 minutes with it alone. Because it was an instant "wow" for me at first spray, which I don't get much anymore after years of perfume discovery, some of you will surely relate that you reach to a point where it gets harder and harder to get pleased by a perfume. But Agua El really managed to keep me on the hook. It is fresh, but not generic fresh, sweet but not gourmand - more fruity sweet I'd say, and carrying the same DNA of Loewe 7 Natural for sure, that being the Iso-E Super-ish, musky, velvety base that is just smooth. I got zero-citric elements in the opening, very smooth and on the sweet side, more tangerine/pineapple than a zesty citrus blend. I read some folks below mentioned that it is turning into a generic scent, so I will def. spend more time with it and update my review if that turns out to be the case. However, as of now, I am impressed.

my first review ever this perfume deserves to be the starter of my account, i truly fell in love with it from first smell it has perfect sillage where the person next to you would get tingled by the very fresh cold sweet smell without it being overpowering so-in-your-face, the water notes definitely adds to the flavor of the citrus notes and gets that sour smell of the fruits to go away and instead fade to sweeter side, after around 30-45 minutes it cools down with a nice light musk smell added, definitely would recommend this perfume to anyone who loves cold winter nights since this is what Loewe Agua EL reminds me of.

Agua de Loewe el, is a fruity, aquatic and musky fragrance. Its output is very fresh, citrusy and fruity, this phase is very energetic, causing a feeling of joy when using this fragrance. After 1 hour it increases the feeling aquatic a little musky and woods. This fragrance is a very good choice to use in summer and spring, because is so fresh. Its smell have some similarties with L'eau d'Issey Miyake, but in this fragrance the citrus are less stinging. Its longevity is between 7 or 8 hrs. with a regular sillage. I love this fragrance.

i got a sample of this one when i bought loewe 7 natural. i thought "i should have gotten agua de loewe". when i finished the sample i went and bought it, and can easily say that this has become one of my favorite, if not my favorite summer scent. it's clean, fresh and mature, gets compliments, and makes you feel comfortable wearing it. it's not suffocating or anything, and leaves a nice aroma on your clothes. i believe this is a summer must have, next to other respectable watery scents.

A more "blue" version of L'eau D'Issey. Beautiful lemon, orange rind, smoothed by tonka, uplifted by significant lavender, supported by rosemary and subtle woods. You have heard and smelled things like this before, but somehow, this one does it with a bit more class, which is Loewe's signature. If you have LedI, or a few other blues like VPH, you don't need this, but I got my older version bottle in a swap for something I didn't like, so I will happily keep this and enjoy it.

Clean smelling, aquatic, crisp and lively smell. I would use this to work and last me to evening. Loewe produces good fragrance, I was surprised to see that they carry this in 150 ML (5.1 FL OZ) what a nasty size that would last at least years. Of all Loewe I have, this is the most aquatic one, the SOLO edition is more manly, for grown ups. Agua de loewe EL, is acceptable to age varies from 25 above. This award 8.5/10

I had been considering this one for at least a year.Shame I waited so long. I love this as I'm a fan of fresh scents Aquatics being one of my fave. This is very unique as though it is modern it has a slightly retro feel as well I'd say about 75% modern and 25% retro. Lovely fresh and has decent longevity for an aquatic.I do about 5 spray and get 7-8 hours and about 10 as a skin scent .

Great fragrance! There are clearly similarities to L'eau d'Issey Miyake, however; for me, this fragrance smells more natural and is better blended. The longevity and projection are great! It leaves a very nice scent trail behind you as well. Overall, its a great choice for anybody who is looking for a fresh, aquatic and effervescent fragrance!

I have about ten "freshies" and this is my favorite one. It has drawn compliments, but that's not why it's my favorite- I simply love the way it smells and makes me feel confident. I absolutely cannot imagine it would offend anyone. Fantastic versatile scent. The only aspect that isn't great is that it has average longevity. Recommend!

this is probably one of my favorite fresh scents, most are a citrus bomb but this is different, if you're looking for a "safe" good aquatic/summer/fresh scent this is the one. longevity is okay, i couldnt test for sillage tho honestly. it has a slight sweetness when it dries down, feels unisex more than just masculine.

@yungspam, @ElNino-7- is absolutely right. L'Eau d'issey Pour Homme has a floral heart, while Agua El has a fruity heart. I compared them side by side. Agua El is much more interesting to me. It is one of my favorite summer fragrances. Noteworthy is its high longevity and decent projection.

A really lovely citrus bouquet, bolstered by the pineapple and black current for some deeper fruit notes. The sandalwood warms this slightly, and you get some suggestions of green, faint earthiness from the oakmoss. Doesn't break the mold but a killer summer.

Agua de loewe is absolutely stunning, one of the best and unique fresh perfumes in the market. Longevity is veeery good, plus 8 hours, sillage is above average. I also tried in winter and its also sooo good Recommend for sure

This stuff is stunning! Absolutely stunning. watery notes, beautiful, fruity and refreshing! I love it!

Handsome. Showered. Sun-kissed. Agua, El smells like the aftermath of a shower taken with the window cracked open. Warm tiles. Citrus shampoo lingering in wet hair. Clean, but human. Masculine, but only in the way of linen shirts and confident silences. Aquatic but soft like dewy droplets, none of those harsh marine synthetics here. More misted spring than chlorinated blue. Yuzu, but not the overly tart kind. Rounder, like yuzu juice stirred into cold mineral water, with that very slight fizz that cools the skin on contact. Then comes this gentle and oddly soothing entwinement of aromatics: not screechy herbal, but fresh-sliced herbs muddled into fruit. There’s apple, not flesh but a crisp, slightly woody apple peel. A leafy snap that doesn’t announce itself, crunch and charm. There’s also this barely-there shimmer of pineapple aldehyde, not enough to feel tropical or challengingly-niche. Just enough to add dimension. Musk comes as the white cotton lining inside a jacket, a whisper of clean skin. Not detergent. Not animal. More like a memory of soap than soap itself. Underneath all this poise is too, a surprisingly elegant woody base. How could someone be so put together? Sandalwood? Maybe, but stripped down, like a sketch of sandalwood. There’s also this airy cedar note, but dialed so low it reads more like handsome background noise. The kind you lean into. Nothing about this is groundbreaking, but that’s what I like about it. There’s something retro here: think old-school colognes left in sunlit bathrooms. Not dated. Just composed. I’d love to smell this on my boyfriend, a nice change instead of his usual Bvlgari Aqva and its marine salt and spice. This would be such a warm, soft-focus version—same sea breeze soul, but gentler, sweeter, like him after a swim and a nap. So smooth, subtle. Sensible. Suave.

Fresh, clean, musky and with a little bit of spice. Opens with an aromatic, soapy citrus note (orange?) It's sweet, aquatic. Has a sparkiling, effervescent, "shower-fresh," quality. Is a touch feminine but uni-sex on the whole. It's pleasant, develops a faint minty aspect alongside the orange aroma. Remains sweet and very clean. Becomes a little powdery with a white-musk accord and a subtle spiciness. There are very faint tropical-fruit wafts now and then. Only becomes muskier on the skin. Smells youthful "nineties style," maybe a little cheap, and the opening does remind me of L'eau D'issey Pour Homme. Solid projection, longevity as a skin scent is around 7hrs. Unisex, ages 20-40 (ish.) Good for spring and summer but inoffensive and so safe all year, and for the office.
