Black Storm

Been waiting two years since I purchased this for it to finally show up on fragrantica. This is a really good alternative to Aventus. No harsh lemon opening, great longevity and sillage, and the notes are identical to that of Aventus (not on this site but on basenotes). Not sure why the notes on here don’t match other sources but it’s not the first time fragrantica has had incorrect notes for a fragrance. When I wear this side by side with Aventus, it’s close enough to say they only smell different due to Aventus’ batch variation. It’s also almost a 1:1 with explorer but this has much better performance.

Cool to see this finally on Fragrantica. First, I like Aventus fine and have had a few samples but it's just not worth a full bottle so I have a good few clones/twists including Explorer and CDNI. However, Lomani Black Storm has turned into my favorite Aventiclone for a few reasons. There's almost no pineapple in this leaning much more on citrus/pepper/smoke. I agree it's closer to Explorer than modern Aventus but I can't comment on older batches. Standout notes to me are the very pleasant Bergamot/pink pepper opening, sweet herbs in the middle and mossy smoke base. I did think it was a BIT harsh when I first bought it, but it has calmed down a lot after macerating. Summary: Not groundbreaking but a well blended take on the classic. Worth a sniff and a good value.

I honestly prefer this over Aventus and CdNIM. It’s a lot of black and pink pepper, bergamot, lemon, and yellow fruits (more like leathery star fruit than pineapple.) And the rosemary in the heart and moss in the base pull it all together quite nicely. The bergamot is quite forward for about 10 minutes, but it’s smooth sailing once it settles down. It’s like Creed Aventus ditched the suit and put on a black t-shirt and grey sweatpants, revealing a big print. This cologne is for the man who doesn’t need to flex because he knows he’s got it. And for $100-120 and 8-9 hours of projection, I would definitely recommend this over Aventus. While CdNIM has a better price point, Black Storm smells better-blended to my nose, and it’s Aventus-adjacent instead of a clone.

Listen. I have ts fragrance. and it's not the best pick up and don't waste time blind buying ts. The pink pepper and lemon pmo so much it gets irrating to smell but the middle notes is the only reason I don't hate it ill give a little explanation what ts fragrance is like opening pink pepper and Lemon middle notes kinda smell like rosemary it's not as bad as I make it seem but there's probably better options then this and I hated ts fragrance to much to care about the dry down from the cap it smells so good but the pink pepper and lemon makes it smell cheap in the opening if I had no choice to wear it I would but definitely spend your money elsewhere I made an account just to review this also but don't listen to me you should always smell it irl this isnt a professional review so don't take it seriously
