Bridgerton

I don't understand these reviews that say this is just "herbaceous" or rosemary. It really doesn't smell strongly of rosemary or sage at all, it just has a fresh aspect to it, bit it is actually somewhat sweet and obviously floral. This scent is exactly what I would think a Bridgerton scent would smell like, just like walking through a garden full of flowers. Everything doesn't have to smell like vanilla cookies. This is gorgeous meadow-type floral... It smells a meadow full of wildflowers. It has a sort of mixed floral bouquet scent (rose, jasmine) with a fresh, green aspect. It is fresh but lightly sweet with a honey undertone. It also has a slight apricot undertone like osmanthus. Perfect scent for spring summer.

A beautiful romantic fragrance that honors that Bridgerton is romance at its core. Leads with the aromatic grassiness of a chaperoned walk about the ton, blooms with a subtle floral tenderness, like being courted with a handful of wildflowers, and finally settles into a soft fluffy floral bouquet fit for a regency bride. There are notes along the way of dampness, like the wet hem of an Austenian heroine trudging through a meadow, but the dry down is clean without being powdery, and floral without invoking stale parlour room potpourri. I'm not generally a fan of floral frags but this one does it flawlessly for me.

This is a beautiful fragrance Lush says it is for men and women and dang it is great on a man! As I read some reviews below, I wonder if this suits a man better than a woman. This is one of my favourites. I was in a lush store testing each of their fragrances and I smelled this and honestly I knew without a doubt that I had to buy it. it is one of the very best things I have smelled. I savour the tiny bottle (30 ml) and when I wear it I am amazed, just amazed at how great it is.

A beautiful, floral fragrance, sweet with a slightly herbal opening. It makes you feel like you're in an English countryside manor, enjoying the elegant scent of a bouquet of flowers from your own garden in the morning parlor, while the subtle aroma of grasses and herbs from the nearby meadows wafts in through the open French window. The perfume is long-lasting, noticeable after several hours yet with an intimate sillage. I love this scent and the soothing atmosphere it creates.

This perfume is like walking through a grassy green meadow. It reminds me of the time between spring and summer- rain is thick in the air but it hasn’t rained yet. The herbals really remind me of my mother’s own garden with the jasmine and herbs. On my skin it dries down to a flowery garden. It’s grandmotherly in the best possible way- a gentle grandmotherly hug. I don’t want bridgerton so I cannot tell you if it matches the show, but I do feel very fancy wearing it!

Didn’t like this at all when it first came out. I’ve retried my bottle several times recently and I think I get it now. The opening is VERY pungent and herbaceous. It slaps you in the face with how strong and herbal it is. HOWEVER, give it 15 minutes and it will settle down significantly, and after 30 minutes it smells really nice. The herbs calm down and (I know it’s not listed) I start to get a bit of a creamy, milky, lavender as well. The sweetness hints at some sugary cookies in the background. In dry down this smells like spending a warm spring day outdoors at an English manor, drinking honey-sweetened tea and eating biscuits. It gets a bit too warm, the air too thick, and all the different scents begin to mingle and make you feel slightly nauseous. It’s very heady, sweet, and herbal, but in a good way. This is still somewhat challenging for me, but I think that under perfect conditions this is a great scent.

This perfume feels like falling into your lover's arms after a long walk through a flower meadow at dusk, your skirts splattered with mud, sweaty from the Summer sun. It starts off very herbal and heavy on the rosemary but that only lasts a few seconds, and as it dries down it really does smell like a bouquet of flowers. These are not fresh flowers however, but flowers that are perhaps a little past their prime, not yet rotted but beginning to wilt. Ultimately, ylang-ylang takes over and gives a buttery base to this fragrance that in my opinion makes it more mature and a little grandmother-y. It's interesting, and I enjoy it, but it doesn't scream Bridgerton family to me. It's too heavy, where the Bridgertons feel fresh and light. For a fragrance representing the show it does quite well, but for the Bridgertons themselves I would have liked to see some Wisteria in the notes, and a more soapy, clean feel overall.

Opens very green with the rosemary and sage playing front and center. These notes quickly give way to a bouquet of white and yellow florals. The jasmine comes out stronger than the ylang-ylang to me. This scent feels like a domesticated version of Lust, the indolic notes are toned down considerably, resulting in a fragrance that is considerably more subdued and clean. I’m unfamiliar with Bridgerton, but for me this scent feels a bit rustic (albeit in a fancy and sanitized way — think summer wedding at a farm, or a well manicured English-style garden. I blind bought this because I was looking for a wearable, casual floral scent, and it hits the right notes for me. It’s feminine, but in the way of a studio Ghibli heroine, and not overly fussy.

There are lots of bad reviews about this perfume. I personally enjoy this one. Perhaps more Featherington than Bridgeton. Jasmine floral opening, I love a jasmine, then after an hour or so the jasmine takes a backseat to let the tea and minty herbs come through. Moderate silage and long lasting on me, skin scent the next morning. It’s linear but perfect for spring/summer warmer weather, no point of having anything complex. Remember this is Lush people, not niche perfumer!

This is giving afternoon tea time in a garden. It has a certain warmth to it that smells like freshly brewed tea with milk and cookies with an assortment of spices and herbs to go with it. It made me recoil a bit at first but it’s actually not so bad if I let it sit and do its thing. It’s not what I would have expected a Bridgerton perfume to smell like personally, but it’s ok.

The initial smell is a small air-conditioned flower shop you enter on a summer evening. After a while, it sets down as a very creamy/cosmetic vanilla+wood scent, which I was very surprised wasn't mentioned in the notes.

When I first sprayed onto my skin it was SO peppery/spicy that it irritated my nose, but after I washed off whatever top notes smelled too aggressive, it was actually a really nice white floral fragrance

I love this one ... on me it’s a thick rose with hints of jasmine and what feels like cinnamon! I would f describe this as an aromatic scent at all and I get no trace of mint rosemary or sage!

The original spray-on is very over-powering. I found it works best 1-2 hours after spraying as it tones down and you can really sense the botanical notes more.

I’ll be honest, I fell in love with the concept and look of the bottle first. I imagined a floral and tea scent in my head. This is not that. Upon spraying, there was a lot going on. There’s a blast of acidity. It was sweet but also spicy. I do think the rosemary smelled strange. But after five minutes, it settled on my skin and I could really smell the rose. It was as if it bloomed! I believe the spice is coming from the rosemary! The Ylang Ylang gives it a buttery undertone. This fragrance does change a lot while wearing it, so I think it’s best to try in store. It has now been three hours and it’s calmed down considerably. There’s something soapy about it now and I believe it’s Jasmine. It’s become more of a clean skin scent. I really don’t know how to feel and I’m not sure if I like it or not. Sometimes I think no, and other times I think yes! I will say that it is VERY sweet and sometimes smells like sweet tarts. I’ve noticed that most of Lush’s fragrances have this chalky quality about them. Sometimes Bridgerton is too sweet for me and I’m saying this as a gourmand girly. But if you generally like the notes listed, this is worth a shot. It has great sillage and LASTS. I have no idea if I’ll purchase this fragrance, but after spritzing it at Lush I went to Chipotle and the cashier said "You smell so good!" So that alone may make me purchase because that rarely happens to me lol. -Starts of strong and projects like a motha -After an hour: 7 -Duration: 7 hours

Was not a fan of this one. Definitely wasn't giving me Bridgerton sadly. Very strong herbal powdery scent with soft floral notes. I found in the first hour it was lingering strongly for some time but a couple hours in blended quite nicely. This does last a very long time as I had it on for at least 7 hours throughout the day and I could still smell it on my skin. I'm glad I didn't blind buy this one as I dont think I would of liked it as much. I would pass on this one

Got a tester of this the minute I saw the launch of Bridgerton s2. I thought it would be more lavender/ lily centered, with floral notes and patchouli but it’s not. IT IS floral, with a fresh scent to it though.

Totally agree with the review below! I was happy to see tea because that was my first thought when this was announced.... A Bridgerton perfume surely must be a tea scent! But it's a tea scent that smells like lush. I just don't get why there are herbs here instead of flowers! Wisteria and lilac would have been AMAZING but as per usual, it's the lush holy trinity of ylang, rose and jasmine. Honestly I'm bored of these same notes being used all the time. Surely the Lush perfumers have access to other florals and other herbs?! It really feels like such a waste of a really fun opportunity to make something different. It's not bad, it's just sooo middle of the road that it made me a bit sad tbh. lol just had to edit to say that the above review hit the nail on the head with describing this perfume as “more country bumpkin than high society” and I’m cracking up! *If you're looking for something that fit's the Bridgerton feel, I'd go for Eclat D'Arpege from Lanvin - Clean, fresh and delicate with tea, wisteria and lilac. Actually, Lanvin in general have some great delicate perfumes - Both Blue Orchid and Sweet Jasmine fit the bill! Elizabeth Arden's Mediterranean is wisteria & lilac heaven too, as is Masaki Matsushima's Matsu (or Drop D'Issey if you can't find that one anymore!)

Too heady/heavy/nuclear, one spray is already too much. I know tht we in perfume community most often are looking for decent longevity, but this one is just too much from the start. It would have been a really good scent if it was diluted at 50%. From what I could bear to notice is a jasmine tea amped by ylang-ylang. This doesn't necessarily give me a Bridgerton vibe, but I can see a potential. Try before you buy!
