Keep It Fluffy

Oh my, oh my. Keep It Fluffy, you are an absolute masterpiece. While I own many Lush fragrances, I wear this one almost every single day. It's one of those all-round perfumes that you can wear at all times - occasionally at night, depending on the event. This is a clean, classy, fresh, sweet, happy, floral fragrance. It's like shoving your face into a bouquet of pink roses, lillies and wildflower. This perfume *sings* beauty... When you wear this perfume, you feel like a good-natured woman who is wild at heart, travelling for 6-12 months (who-knows?) in her bright, clean and boho campervan. She wears gingham, paisley and burnt orange fabrics, along with oversized kimonos and a fedora hat. Loves boho jewellery and abstract art. She absolutely loves her friends and often drives to hippy festivals with them. The fact that I've worn it every day for over a year, I hope they never stop selling this black label bottle.

I have fallen in love with this! If you like florals, give it a try! It's uplifting & comforting at the same time & creates a beautiful, precious floral bubble around you. Close your eyes, long inhale, & it's as though nothing can penetrate Mother Nature's glorious delight around you. I was lucky enough to get a bargain on eBay & then an even better bargain on Vinted! I'm so glad I tried it & have a backup because we all know what Lush is like with taking our favourites away from us! Update 16/01/24. Cannot bear this anymore since having COVID in October! Update 29/11/24. I can wear it again! Yay!!!!!!🥰

Definitely an evening and more winter/ autumn scent (however I wear it all year round and any time). It’s warm, cosy and literally fluffy. It’s a signature scent for me I love it! I do have to have rest periods from it though as I can get nose blind to it after a while. This is definitely one of Lush’s better perfumes and I will always repurchase for as long as it’s available.

I normally don't care for Lush fragrances but this one won me over. The florals stand out to me more than the vanilla, but they don't seem screechy to me. Well, maybe a little in the opening, but the fragrance soon dries down to more of a creamy floral/vanilla musk. Sillage and longevity are both good.

I've never tried the B Never too Busy to be Beautiful version so I can't compare, but where that was described as girly, this to me feels sophisticated - slightly sweet yes, in dry down more, but the main theme feels like quite animalic jasmine and ylang. At first it's floral/soapy, then I experience a lush jasmine/ylang. I see that Jasmine Grandiflora is in the ingredients list on the side of the bottle and I've always experienced that as animalic (sambac jasmine seems more green and floral). The rose keeps it soapy and the ylang and orris give it a powderiness, though not too powdery. In short, I love this! It's a welcome surprise. I think it's a perfect spring party sort of perfume, quite flirty, feminine and romantic but not silly with it.

Keep it Fluffy is so nostalgic and special to me. I fell in love with the scent around 2010 in Lush's soap for Valentine's, called Love Birds. Now that I got my hands on the perfume and tested it for a month, I am getting so much similarity with Two More Hearts by Lush. Even the pyramids are the same. Both have sweet rose and lemon (and probably jasmine and ylang ylang). Two More Hearts adds dry incensey sandalwood. Keep it Fluffy is musky and adds more jasmine. In the drydown, it gets dustier and sort of catches up with TMH.

I bought this second-hand going off of the scent of the "Keep It Fluffy" soap that Lush is selling right now. Its a nice, sweet powder with a dash of florals in the background. To me, the soaps and bathbombs always have a more delicate and slightly sweeter quality to them than the perfumes and body sprays do, so I tend to have a small bit of disappointment using the sprays. This isn't bad by any means, its got a comforting Nana quality that I like to wear on occasion. I'm not sure my body chemistry is playing nice with it, though. We're in the warmer days of early Spring here, so that also could be affecting it. It seems like it would be a really good cold weather scent, but kind of cloying in the heat. This is really reminding me of something that I can't quite put my finger on. Like another powder scent from my childhood, maybe Loves "Babysoft" or something. Or Oil of Olay night cream. I'm not sure, I haven't smelled "Babysoft" in ages and I don't have a bottle to compare, but its where my brain went. Its not going soapy on me like some florals do, so that's a huge bonus. Didn't realize this has vanilla in it...will have to wait and see if it gives me a headache. I think I was really hoping this would smell like the discontinued Pink Fun that Lush used to do. Man, if they ever do a scent in that I will be all over it. If you like "Keep It Fluffy," I would suggest people to check out "Alice" by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. Its warmer and rosier, but its in that same powdery-sweet ballpark.

A floral, powdery, vanilla fragrance. The individual flowers are a bit hard to place but definitely rose, a touch of jasmine and violets to me. Violet is not listed in the notes but Orris can give a violet-like scent. This is not a bright, fresh floral. It is soft and powdery floral with vanilla undertones. It reminds me of other soft, violet rose scents like Yves Saint Laurent Paris, or Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose. Personally for me it is a bit blah and boring for a Lush scent. But fans of these kind of scent should definitely try it. I think the powdery aspect makes this cloying for summer. But it would be better to wear the rest of the year.

I blind bought this one thinking it would be all summery yellow florals like The Body Shop’s Moringa series or Serge Lutens’ La Dompteuse Encagée. I was kinda wrong. Big blast of ylang-ylang + powdery musk + earthy orris. I kinda expected that this perfume would smell quite vintage but LEMONGRASS??? WHAT ARE U DOIN HERE... Turned out it’s always been in this perfume’s ingredients list, just not listed as the official note despite being a very prominent note. A pass due to the strong lemongrass scent, otherwise I do like it especially the fluffy-powdery musk in here... So lovely

Abrasive jasmine (and lemon?) opening quickly smooths out as watery flowers come in. Very floral, lush and feminine. Like.

im a long time Lush fan, i have over 10 of their perfumes, and recently i’ve been going through a vanilla phase. i’ve had my eye on vanillary and american cream as the next-to-add to my collection for the longest time, but today when i walked into the shop (to test both those on skin, again, and try to convince my wallet to give up,) i saw this new scent on the shelves, sprayed it, and bought it. this scent is everything i wanted rose jam to be. at first the jasmine is a little overwhelming, like ok lush we get it, your jasmine is famous, stop using it in every other lush perfume already.. i’ve been getting bored of jasmine. but the the rose and the ylang ylang come in softly, rounded out by the musk and vanilla. where rose jam is sweet & saccharine, almost screechy with the lemon, KIF is, well, fluffy and warm, gently enveloping. where two more hearts is heavy, KIF is soft. i have this funny thing where i have to keep rotating my lush perfumes or my nose gets tired, i think, because lush is so strong. unlike some others like blackphoenixalchemylab or chanel. but i think KIF really has potential to become a signature scent. fingers crossed. high hopes
