Vegan Leather Jacket

It was a blind buy and I LOVE IT. It was definitely what I was expecting according to the description and I'm definitely buying the liquid version after I finish it!! However, you have to REALLY like cloves to enjoy this one because it's the most predominant scent. My mom said it smells like incense and I kind of get it! You can properly smell tobacco and tonka after it wears off a bit. I remember reading a review saying it smells like an ashtray and I somewhat agree, but it's giving classy ashtray if it makes sense? it's far from the unpleasant smell you get on your fingers/clothes after smoking. The only downside is that it doesn't last long but it's so small you can carry it with you and reapply it. And you have to get really close to the skin to being able to smell it (which can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference).

Garnham999's comments on Lapsang Souchong tea are completely accurate! On me it smells just like a Russian leather jacket, with additional cloves. Labdanum, tobacco... very sexy, and seriously worth the price. Am going to have to buy the spray version!

At first, i thought this is literally just like sniffing a bag of lapsang souchong, however as it wears on notes of cloves and vinyl come out. Imagine drinking smoked tea in a brand new electric car- that is exactly what this is. For the price that it is (i paid £12 in store) its a great perfume, the silage is not there but it lasts a while and doesnt smell cheap. It would be appropriate to wear to work. And now an anecdote: I was browsing lush and spotted this, tried a small amount on my wrist, but unfortunately i couldn't smell much and then nothing at all when i wrnt back for a second sniff, i walked out of the shop empty handed. About 5 minutes later i could smell something wonderful, i looked around before i realised it was coming from my wrist, turns out i couldn’t smell much in the store because of how overwhelming the smell of the bathbombs nearby were. I practically ran back in and bought one of the perfume sticks. Moral of the story is don't write off anything from lush without wearing it on your skin, theres too much going on in that place to get a full idea of the perfume.

I bought this for my partner who loved it when they tried it in store, however they ended up giving it to me because they though it smelled like veggie sausages. I'm not going to lie, I can actually smell that they're talking about.. but I love it! It's a really hard scent to explain in words as it's very conceptual. It's certainly smoky. I feel it's something a biker would wear, and it ages a lot after a long ride. This scent really works well on me, I've been told by my partner that it's very alluring and sweet. It feels expensive, like a niche high perfume. I love it. My favourite scents have tobacco and clove so it's a pattern for me! I feel like it smells like it has notes of fennel, sage & Pepper. It has a pastely-like quality, rather than powdery, if that makes sense! It smells a bit like wood burning. I would usually layer this with something else to give it a darker tone. I would actually go as far as saying it's slightly meaty, in a bbq way. This scent is one of the most Intersting I've tried

If you've ever smelled vetiver essential oil by itself, it is very much a smoky barbecue smell, which is why I think most people smell teriyaki or savory foods like that when vetiver is in the mix. Not necessarily unpleasant, but the food associations are there, lol. Vegan Leather Jacket is an interesting one. Almost undetectable on initial application, but slowly morphs into a sharp leather and then a subtly spicy tobacco. This is the solid perfume so that process may be different from how the liquid behaves. I'm interested enough from this to want to try the liquid, I think. It seems like another masculine-leaning, inoffensive choice. Seems to sit close to the skin while still remaining present for quite a few hours so far.

smelled this in the store and loved it, bought it, and then showed it to a friend who was with me. she said it smelled like teriyaki sauce... she was so right. still really love this scent though—sharp, peppery leather. a hint of new car smell. unfortunately can't stop thinking about my friend's initial comment though lol.

The only negative thing i will say is that it has stained my wrist slightly orange where i have applied it, however i am ridiculously pale so this wont affect most people. (Side note: Apologies for grammatical errors in the last one.)

I'm all for earthy, dark scents but this one just was like dank vintage store and jerky

Vegan Leather Jacket hits me like stepping into a dim bar where the lighting is low and everyone looks better than they should. It’s smooth, dark and confident - the kind of scent that doesn’t ask for attention because it already knows it’s getting some. There’s a clean edge to it, almost like the snap of a brand‐new jacket when you pull it on for the first time. It feels modern, a little rebellious and just polished enough to keep things interesting. What I love most is how travel‐friendly it is. I’ve got 11 Lush solid perfumes lined up for my Europe river cruise in a few months and this one earned its spot without hesitation. It’s compact, tough and has that “night‐out” energy I know I’ll want on the trip.

I find this heady and a bit sexy. My first thought with the spray was that I hated it. So offensively leathery, very masculine and gruff. The type of fragrance that an old man would naturally smell of. But on the dry down, or the absorption(?) in the case of the solid, this is really nice. It's very tobacco and clove forward, but I get the hints of tonka (though not the vetiver). I plan to experiment with it as a precursor to my more "feminine" leaning fragrances in my collection.

Yeah, no. I'm not a leather fan and all I smell here is a fresh leather bag left under the sunlight (not a particularly expensive one either), and some hay. I don't really get tobacco. Smell of new leather that is very sharp and on the nose, albeit I'll give them, it is accurate on the bitterness of it. Shockingly - this is indeed, only for leather lovers.

Delicious masculine rawness. Incredibile trick for layering. Heavy beautiful tabacco. Leather through and through. Strong and rough. A well carried slap 👏 in the best way possible. Smokey, charred. I love it. Fun !
