Morning Ritual

One of April's best from LVNEA. She doesn't use a lot of rose in her perfumes, so this one stood out amongst the others. It's a lovely, forlorn fragrance evoking times gone by through it's wilted roses mixed expertly with resins (and a touch of cedar). It's not too sweet, and has a little bit of powder on the dry down. It's gentle, soft, cozy, reminiscent and a touch sad -- like it's name -- MOURNING RITUAL, not MORNING RITUAL (which makes no sense and is a Fragrantica error). I like it a lot. Perfect for a funeral lol. 95%

my boyfriend owns this perfume and wears it. it smells incredible on him. He smells so good every time he wears it, something about it just jives with his body chemistry. I get so much patchouli in the best way, it’s my favorite note, and I don’t usually like roses but I do when it’s blended in things like this!! the incense and patchouli and rose just are so amazing it creates this blend and makes it something of its own! i love it!

One of the best LVNEA scents, in my opinion. The resins, the rose, the cedar... It all makes sense, and blends into a hauntingly beautiful fragrance.

There is a misprint in the name of the perfume, yes: we are not in a 'morning ritual' of an influencer, but more in a 'mourning ritual' that sounds like bwoouh, bwaaah, with a big English gothic novel atmosphere. Smoky, resinous, sensual with that little touch of rose, incense for sure, a little trip back in time - or in a parallel world - on a natural perfumery foundation. It smells like a witch's cabinet, a grimoire, an old apothecary's store, with a little bouquet of dried flowers peeking out at you in the corner. This painting is rather pleasant. Not really the kind of notes or aesthetics that I am usually attracted to, but very pleasantly surprised by this mini-company, and always happy to see what the small designers have to say and can do. See, another proof that the world of perfumery can sometimes make you go on very unexpected trips... Nice discovery. PS: the samples I got came in a small box filled with natural moss, a small detail that surely contributes to immersing us in a special universe.

Misspelling in the name. Ordered this as a blind buy and I am not rlly a fan of rose scents but I gave this away to a friend who appreciates it more.
