Baroko

Bäroko was initially called Kärmä. It is an oriental, amber, woody, gourmand and assertive creation. She participates very well in the development of the “Feel Good” concept, hippie, warm and above all Benevolent. “A universe that is at once magical, mystical and bohemian”. The motto of this water is indicative of the concept: “Accept what is, let go of what was, and trust in what will be...” At first sight, the notes expressed here seem heavy, suffocating, even sickening! And yet, this is not the case! This is the approach to my nose. This is not a caramelized tarte Tatin. It is a structured creation, warm and refined, enveloping and reassuring, balanced: At the opening, the notes of toasted sesame bring a delicious, non-sweet facet of slightly caramelized exotic hazelnuts (a bit like multigrain bread coming out of the oven, for the photo). The rum note is light and residual, just like the cinnamon. This creation has no food kidney. Then the woody notes bring an oriental atmosphere. Round wood: A soft sandalwood, warm patchouli (not at all earthy) and hints of spice; Finally, the briefing notes provide: A tobacco rounded by tonka bean and amber crystals... It's "Feel Good", caring, comforting Good alarm clock and good performance, good value for money.

Baroko is one of those fragrances. A warm, enveloping composition that unfolds with remarkable balance, blending sweet rum, smooth tobacco, and oriental spices. Right after spraying, it’s like a glass of amber rum resting on a dark wooden table. The cinnamon brings its warmth without tipping into dessert territory. Sesame - subtle but noticeable - adds a gently roasted, unexpected, almost gourmand touch. And then there’s this sensation of plum... It’s not listed in the official notes, yet I can’t help but feel it there, like a candied fruit steeped in alcohol and smoke. It lends the fragrance a luscious, fruity depth that sets it apart. The whole is beautifully balanced: oriental richness meets modern ease, roundness meets sensuality, smoke meets nectar. It conjures up plush lounges, heavy silks, winter evenings where light flickers against ochre walls. The most surprising part? The price. For a scent this rich and textured, I expected something far steeper. That’s what makes Baroko such a precious, almost secret discovery.

A leather chair, and fall colours, and some sort of cinnamon pie, wearing flannel and plaid and crunchy leaves. its toasty and I think leans slightly masculine. A hug of Grandfather. Its warm, and not overpowering, but it sticks and remains for days on my clothes. Its got a 70's vibe. Its comforting and unoffensive. Sweet and brown. Definitely a brown fragrance.

I smelled a sample at a store of irma oud and went back to get a bottle but now realize after getting home that I was given a bottle of Baroko ;) so it is sort of a bling buy for me. Now I understand why it smelled so different from what it smelled like in the store. Bäroko reminds me of rootbeer or cherry coke! It is sweet and spicy; complex but not overpowering. I would say it is moderate. Natural inclination would be to wear it during colder months such as fall but it wears beautifully in hot summer months as I have received many compliments. It is a very fun fragrance and easy to wear. I highly recommend it as I have never smelled anything like it.
