Ok . Haters in this review section are such cry babies . This is a fantastic dupe. And it is extremely close to another dupe called Façonnable Riviera. People cry about how 20 dollars BDC dupe doesn't smell exactly 100% like the original with a price more than 100 dollars at least . Really ? Sincerely get lost. To me it smells even better than BDC and i dont even get that baby wipe smell . It definitely scratch that BDC itch and it makes me feel like im wearing an expensive blue fragrance . It makes me feel rich. Super happy with my purchase. No complains. I will never ever buy BDC after this. 10/10. This smell holds a special place in my heart.

short review: very similar to BdC in the air, seems to be missing something when smelled up close side-by-side with the OG, good longevity, low projection best for summer, spring, fall, indoor (because of weak projection) IMO pleasant, good quality, paid 12$ for it - a steal at that price hope this helps! take care!

The top note has a dominant citrus scent and there is warmth coming from the ginger, sometimes it smells warm like baby oil. Basically, the scent initially is like warm orange soap. the drydown is a masterpiece scent, i really like the drydown

5/12/2026 Update: Just put this on today. Wow, the more I wear this, the more wonderful and indistinguishable from BDC EDT it becomes. It's got EVERY BIT of the depth, profile, complexity and performance of it's wealthy Chanel relative. And this spectacular cheapy is 1/8th the cost! Kudos to Maison Alhambra, Maître de Blue is truly a masterpiece of perfumery. Hold on... I think I'm having an olfactory orgasm, OMG, OMG, yes, yes, yes, Y E S S S S ! I need a nap now. Woof! ;-) 1/22.2026 Update: OK, I believe I understand what's been happening here. This is MUCH better than my original experience with this fragrance indicated. It's been a month since my original review in Dec25. I know... I said I'd wait until next summer to try Maître de Blue (MdB) again. But... as I was perusing my collection this morning for what I wanted to wear today, I found myself gazing at MdB and thinking that maybe I'd been misapplying it. Perhaps a lighter touch was required. So, a single spray on the chest, and a half-spray on each wrist later, voilà! It's wonderful! I've been using too much, resulting in the overwhelming and unpleasant initial intensity. And the performance problems appear to have just been caused by olfactory fatigue. MdB is really strong. Applying it sparingly has totally changed the experience from dreadful to delightful. SCENT EVOLUTION: The sharp ginger/citrusy opening is really nice if you don't overspray. This segues seamlessly into the ambery/woody/earthy drydown, but the citrus doesn't totally disappear. The brightness of the opening turns deeper and sweeter. The sharp spicy ginger gives way to the sweet spiciness of the pepper. PERFORMANCE: It chugged along with moderately intensity and projection for about three hours before relaxing into a skin scent. An additional single pump from a travel sprayer revived it beautifully, and this process can be continued as long as desired. If you are a beast-mode kind of guy, which I am not, several sprays will produce that effect for a couple of hours. However, don't be surprised if nose-blindness occurs, you're probably still projecting prodigiously. VERSATILITY: This fragrance, like its inspiration, will work all year 'round at any time of day. COMPARISON TO BLEU de CHANEL (EDP): MdB is very, very similar. Side-by-side, indoors, in quiet solitude, BdC is a little smoother and sweeter both in the opening and drydown. But, without a direct A/B comparison, out in the wild I doubt I'd be able to tell them apart. As of 1/20/26, 100ml of MdB is $20US (Joma), and BdC is $173US (Everywhere). MdB is 1/8 the cost of BdC. ORIGINAL 12/22/2025 REVIEW: Although it's winter and absolutely NOT the season for this concoction, I didn't need to go out and decided to try Maître de Blue (again) today in my nice warm house so I could review it. Although I like the scent profile a lot, it is expressed so supernaturally harshly, that even after 30 minutes it still burns the nose and throat. If you can endure the toxic, synthetic assault that is the opening, it settles down and becomes quite beautiful, indeed. But shortly thereafter... it's gone. I've suffered the pain for such a brief gain. Sigh. I haven't decided if the really poor performance is a blessing or a curse. Apparently, and IDK why, I really WANT to like this frag because I've had this chemical weapon for several months now and try it every few weeks to see if it improves. Perhaps I'm a masochist. It hasn't mellowed or matured, not even a little...yet. I'll lay it down until next summer and give it one more try before I drop it off at the hazardous waste depository. If it improves I'll submit an edit. This is a very good blend of Hybrid Citrus/Aromatic Fougere fragrance. It's a hybrid citrus/aromatic fougere fragrance. It's a good blend of citrus, herbal, floral, and patchouli musk aromas with a pleasant soapy drydown. This does lean more towards the EDT and noticeably has much weaker woody and smoky notes. As such, this is much more comparable to and will immediately remind you of Parfum de Marley's Sedley or Lattafa's own Maahir Legacy or Calvin Klein's CK One. it's a bit redundant if you have any of those but otherwise a very good choice. This is unisex, versatile for use in any and all occasions, good for all ages and a decent performer, all for a very good price. Presentation is rather generic, but you can live with that for the price. Recommended, especially since you can't get any Chanel products at all via online discounters.

This Maître de Blue Maison Alhambra feels like it sits perfectly in between an Eau de Parfum (EDP) and an Eau de Toilette (EDT) concentration. I genuinely love it. It's such an easy reach – super simple to wear and it performs great for formal events or going out. It’s the definition of an easy-to-love and crowd-pleasing scent. Plus, the price is amazing! I snagged this for around $20 USD! 🤑 A fantastic deal for the quality. However, at this price point, you have to accept that some of the notes do smell a little synthetic.

#1085 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I recently noticed "Maitre de Blue" improved on the "Bleu De Chance" rating from 3.57 (which is really awful given how every scent on here is given a lot of "benefit of the doubt") to 3.76, which is still terrible, in a range with David Beckham and Antonio Banderas, but still a significant improvement. So I thought, "what the hell", and spent the $16 to give this scent a spin, even though I don't think original Bleu de Chanel is worth owning, let alone "Bleu de Chance." When I first joined Fragrantica I was struck by how testy people got about scents that copy BDC and Sauvage. They would downright savage the dupes for using synthetics, which the originals also do (anyone see real "Calabrian Bergamot" in those notes?). It seemed to me, and still does, that some clones ratings suffer more from indignity that a favored scent was copied than that it was a bad attempt. But admittedly, Maison Alhambra's first attempt at a BDC clone, "Bleu de Chance" was pretty bad. It was cheap and smelled it, though not for long, as the performance was, in a word, wretched. And several of the BDC notes were completely missing. So I thought copying both the BDC bottle style and initials to sell a bad copy was deceptive marketing and bad product management strategy that hurt the Alhambra brand overall. And apparently it backfired so they came back with this product months later under a new name, and it is different. The synthetic bergamot is still of the screechy variety, but this scent does add a couple of the missing BDC notes from that first attempt, aldehydes and melon. But still no coriander. So I have to wonder what the point of a new version was if they still were not going to fully dupe BDC? And the incense note is still not all that smoky. But my main complaint is that the missing coriander makes a marked difference in the overall warmth and smoothness of the BDC scent, and while I think BDC itself is a thin concoction, when you compare it to what everyone compares it to, Dior "Sauvage", a 100% note match would have helped this scent. So my verdict is: "missed again Maison Alhambra!" The performance has improved a bit, still at an EDT level. Given that the BDC EDT itself performs badly, that's probably not a show-stopper for those that like BDC. But this is certainly not an EDP, and it still just doesn't smell quite like BDC. What it still smells like are the other cheap BDC similars: Cuba Paris "Shadow", Armaf "Voyage Bleu", Afnan "9am Dive." I bought them, wore none of them, gave them away, as I will this juice. Armaf's "Club de Nuit Blue Iconic" is a note-for-note copy of BDC that costs about $20 more than this. It's not perfect, but serviceable, versatile, good for any setting. So do yourself a favor, avoid the disappointment of spending $16 for something that I think you'll find disappointing, and spend the additional money for CDNBI. It both smells better and performs better than Maitre Bleu.

For the price this is not the worst thing you could buy I definitely don't love it and as someone below me said it does have a screechy facet to it (at least off my skin) that really turns me off of this alternative and it does stay for most of its life which isn't terrible but also not great about 4-6 hours in my experience. I picked this up as an affordable alternative to BDC and in my honest opinion Id much rather save up the money and pick up the real thing I personally think the BDC line is one of the most iconic and versatile blue fragrances to ever exist and this frag does it no justice. If you really want BDC on a budget spend a few more dollars and go with Club de Nuit Blue Iconic or Al Haramain Amber Oud Blue Edition you will be much more satisfied. My personal Ratings Scent: 5/10 Longevity: 5.5/10 Projection: 5.5/10 Price: 8/10 (You really get what you pay for on this one for $16 I wasn't expecting to be blown away) Overall: 5.75/10 (Love the original this just doesn't do it for me)

It's like mixing BDC with Cool water but less complex smelling. Smells a little bit too green and sour at the opening. I don't get why BDC gets so much attention anyways. These kind of blue frags smells like a 90s dad on a night out in a good way but they're not that special. Longevity is moderate and the drydown doesn't make me go wow and it smells like dry geranium leaves at least on my skin.

My partner's signature frangrance IS BDC and I smell it all the time. I bought this out of curiosity since its price was less than 20€. It goes in the direction of BDC for sure but it is not there yet. It misses the quality, the depth. I also believe there are so many other fragrances at this price point that I would go for something else.

It was my first ever fragrance back in the day, quite versatile, the scent is very nice (even tho kinda synthetic). But. Probably wont recommend, longevity and silage are definitely going to disappoint you, so just put that money towards smth better instead. This smells a lot like Missoni Parfum Pour Homme to me, but with a more sour/tart lemon type of citrus in the opening. I do think it got better after sitting for a few months, but it vaguely resembles BDC EDT. There are better options even at this pricepoint and the performance is lackluster at best.

No it doesn’t smell like the EDP it smells like the EDT . Weak ass performance, save up and get the real BdC.

Smells nothing like BDC, to me smells more like MB legend. So generic and synthetic fresh fragrance

Ain't that bad for this price, i got it for like 15 euro. It is synthetic, you can feel it, but longevity aint bad. Never got og chanel, so hard to tell how good of a dupe it is.

This is by far the most disgusting and synthetic Fragrance on Planet earth. I smell a lot and never did i say to a fragrance this smells cheap disgusting. But when i arrived this, i was hoping for decent bleu de chanel clone. This was from the beginning to the end really disgusting and couldnt reach the good thing which bdc had. even ble de chanel in the opening is kinda screechy. But this thing stay screechy the entire time and is not pleasent at all and smelles like a chemical cleaner who hurts your eyes. the only good thing maybe on this is when u smell it from far away. but otherwise its a no go.

I already wrote an review about this scent that is smells like chemical cleaner who burnes your eyes... really dont buy this stuff, maison alhambra has some good alternatives like Le Glacier the clone of le beau le parfum even better in my oppinion than the original, but this is soooo awful but i found a better option for this scente Grandeur Cadet Bleu. Its not screechy in the opening, it prjects very well and its a clone of the edt, which i honestly dont like anymore, i only like the edp and the parfum.

I keep buying things that smell similar to scents I like. This was no exception. Is it exactly BDC, no. But it is in the neighborhood, don’t buy expecting it to be really close, after all, it only cost about $16. It is a pleasant blue inoffensive scent that might remind people of BDC. Take it on trips, wear to the gym, short errands, etc. if you want BDC, CDNIM Iconic is closer and better longevity and smell. If you just want to cheap blue frag, there are many out there. This is a little sharp up top. I think it is the lemon.

Very citrusy and green at first, then the melon and amber come out with some incense. Smells good, very clean and airy. Does not stick around long, maybe 2-3 hours. Thrives in heat as it makes it project a bit more. About what I’d expect from a 24 dollar bottle. Really can’t overspray and it’s very safe so overall not a bad purchase, but there are better options for a generic blue scent

One of the only dupes I've purchased and have put a massive dent in. I love the smell it's very dead on almost better than what it's copying but the longevity is absolutely abysmal.
