No. 2 Men

This is the closest fragrance to the original CH 212 NYC Men, it resembles the opening, but afterwards the differences becomes more clear, but it is still close enough, and no other fragrance comes close, the longevity and sillage is moderate in general and compared to the original 212 NYC it's weak considering that the original is a beast in terms of of performance. Overall, it's good value for money, very safe and office friendly, and I think it will remain in my collection.

This one just smells good. It's nothing super special, but I like it just because it's a safe warm weather pick but it's different enough from other fragrances that it stands out. The opening is like a ginger / bergamot splash that leads into the more earthy and woody tones underneath. Pretty good just a little spicy.

Very close to the OG about 90% similar. The only difference is that the OG has a better opening and quality is 10% better. Almost same performance about 6+ hours of longevity with 1 hour of projection. Very good for office and close environment. 8/10

So similar to the OG but is more citrus and doesn’t have that hint of sweetness in the drydown that makes that characteristic 212 smell in the air, 85 to 90% but for the price point you can’t go wrong with this as an everyday scent

Smells very fresh and a little herbal. It is a 212 clone for sure. Not sure about longevity but considering this is a maison, I guess it is a moderate performing fragrance. For 15 euros, perfection..

Very pleasant fresh summer scent. I don't know CH 212 so I can not compare the two but this one is really nice. Good longetivity, moderate sillage.

Nose Note #690 I've run out of 212 and I loved it. From memory - this unfortunately is not giving me the same feeling, like the two are different scents. But on second thought yes, they are definitely similar. I found it hard to describe the OG, it's kind of a generic citrus fragrance, but when you compare a dozen of freshies one after another in one sitting - this is definitely special (I mean the DNA). After some minutes I'm finally getting the OG vibes. This bergamot and lavender combo is very peculiar. It's very aquatic, but not like Invictus or Aqua di Gio. For some reason I'm thinking of cucumbers, but it doesn't smell of cucumbers at all. It's somewhat sharp and it's the one thing I don't like about it - I think it's the ginger and vetiver working in such a way together. I'm getting very very slight reminiscence of Silver Mountain Water - this kind of metallic sharpness. I have Deux Cent Deuze Men by FW and I'm comparing them side by side. About the FW - in a separate review. 7.4/10, good, but I'm not in love

this one costs the same as other Alhambras, but the bottle is 80ml, so i had hopes this time Alhambra decided to go with a tad more quality over quantity. alas, No. 2 has as pathetic performance as Alpine Homme and most other Alhambras. expect to go over 10+ sprays if you want at least an hour of average projection. a single test spray i've done on my wrist projected for about 10-15 minutes and then it was a skin scent for another hour with creamy sandalwood dry-down. the scent has soothing, gentle, unisex character. btw the pyramid here looks inaccurate, i think alhambra site has different notes. UPDATE half an year later it became quite stronger. longevity is not that much longer but projection did improve considerably

No. 2 Men is a decent budget fragrance, but the first thing I have to mention is the atomizer. It is badly designed on my bottle: instead of giving a clean spray, too much liquid spills around the sprayer, so half of the spray ends up on the skin and half of it just leaks. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely annoying. As for the scent, you can tell it is trying to go in the direction of CH 212, but from a pretty far distance. It has bergamot and lavender in the opening, then some ginger and cardamom. To me, this is more citrusy and aromatic, without giving anything special. Overall, it is not bad. It is budget friendly, office safe and easy to wear during the day. I would call it a safe buy, but not a fragrance that fully reaches what it is trying to copy. It smells like exactly what it is: a cheaper alternative. Pleasant, usable, but probably not a compliment getter. What you pay is what you get.

It is okay, given the price range, but it is way too synthetic. That is the only problem that I have.
