I want to cry how good this is! This is everything ive been searching for ever since i decided rose can make it’s rise to fame again (its been hugely overdone a few years ago) but on MY specific terms: i don’t want a spicy rose, or a jammy rose, or candied or musky or mixed with iris or jasmine, and i certainly don’t want it anywhere near citrus and or bergamot, my two most detested scent notes. I want what DS&Durga’s Rose Atlantic would have been had it not been poisoned by those two notes. I just want a full garden of Bulgarian, English, Turkish roses along with Earth Angel and Francis Meillands, and the violet ones the name i don’t remember but they are sooo potent, almost artificial in how strong of a rose smell they have - all of those after a summer storm. Covered in dew drops, with a salty post rain air and petrichor. (I have a Nudesse Overose candle that delivers just exactly that, a really wet rose smell and ever since i decided i need to find a perfume to match.) This is it! It’s absolutely perfect and addictive. I just adore how prominent the salt note is here followed by the airy sweetness of a rose. No medicinal scent, no spa like citruses, nothing that takes it to a place of a cheap shampoo or men’s generic aftershave. It’s all delicate, feminine, soft and elegant. The type of rose scent that just smells expensive. Done right. Now i just need a candle in this..oh wait... we’ve come full circle already

clean, silky rose with some saltiness and oceanic flavour in it. I discovered Maison Crivelli when choosing my own birthday present 2 weeks before it, and I stumbled into a shop that does sell Diptyque. I told the lady what I needed, which would suit the hospital setting (not disturbing to the patient). I tried olene, eau rose, tamdao, opheon, and whatever else there was. maybe still in the trying phase. Then the lady just showed me this brand, which she described as a niche perfume. On the tester paper, it was OMG; it was so clean, so unique, so unlike any other perfume I tried( that day I already tried Tom Ford, Lelabo, Bulgari, Chanel, Diptyque, etc.), this perfume truly stood out, together with Oud Maracuja. The rose is nothing like a diptyque eau rose or the rose in Federic Malle (ok, their is also nice), which is the rose together with the leaf, the stalk. On my birthday, I purchased this ROSE SALTIFOLIA over Tamdao. Generally, I won't get dizziness over an oceanic or sea note, which normally makes me dizzy after using Versace pour homme at first few times. This perfume has the balance between the rose centifolia and the other note. It's a unisex perfume to me, and I really like it. I'll give it a score of 9.5/10 for rose note perfume Now, I just let it stay put for 2–3 weeks to mature more since the longevity seems to be shorter than the one in the store. I just hope it gets better after maturation.

After the zesty opening settles, this mainly feels like a rose that was dipped in the ocean, and now has dried in the breeze, with a bit of sand and sea salt still lurking on the petals. It doesn't give me a rose bush or dried petals or jammy rose at all. About half an hour in, seaweed is now fully incorporated, only propping up the rose to float. They are now fused together: you can't really tell them apart although neither has completely disappeared. It has turned very airy but very vividly rosy still. Unlike most fragrances in the same category that go the mineral/cool/icy route, Rose Saltifolia manages to keep some sun-warmed edges around it, which makes it a perfect choice for those like me who can't take cool/chill aquatic scents. The deep drydown is just an afternoon sea breeze on my skin, warmed in the sun and wafting through the rose bushes before hitting your nose. I've also come to realize that Rose Saltifolia does mentally carry me away to this remote Mediterranean beach on a calm day, disconnecting me from whatever's going on around! Think Santorini beaches on the far end!! So, very meditative in that way, too! All in all, ABSOLUTELY easy to love, not like much else I've smelled before. <3

Absolutely obsessed with this fragrance. Imagine Delina La Roseé and Wood Sage and Sea Salt had a baby, in all its watery, breezy, salty, fresh, woody-sandy-rosy glory. This is a highly underrated fragrance that perfectly marries the "Clean Girl" and "Pretty Girl" aesthetics. Signature Scent worthy, it is the ultimate "White T-shirt" fragrance... unisex, fresh, clean and pretty, but long-lasting and interesting enough to be alluring... It can be worn year-around but really shines in the spring and summer. Just. Wait. For. The. Drydown. That is when this scent casts its spell. The cashmeran wood and musk really comes out to play. A sparkling rosé and blood orange mimosa, sipped on the sandy dunes of a northern seaside town, wild grasses waving in the breeze, walking barefoot along a weathered cobblestone path with wild roses clambering over an old driftwood arbor, watching blue-and-white striped sailboats and dancing seabirds in the bright morning sun.

I like this, and feel like salty florals are having a bit of a moment (or they should be!). They're such a great palate-cleanser after two decades of fruity florals, and Rose and sea-air go so nicely together. This is a crisp, easy-to-wear rose fragrance, with a little more salt and ozone than rose. It's very evocative and very nice. Reminds me of Rose Atlantic by DS & Durga and the original Chloe (now called Chloe Collection 2005) - the latter of which has a similar marine note; but this is way better than the Chloe and of course revolves around Rose and not white florals. I don't think it's better than Rose Atlantic, however, but they are different enough to have both if one was into oceanic roses. I think this one is more ethereal, whereas Rose Atlantic is fruitier and more robust. Broadly, I don't think this fragrance is breaking new ground, but it's lovely enough. I don't find it cloying or anything - rather it's refreshing and enjoyable.

Absolutely adore this scent. An unusual and salty rose unlike any I've smelled before. Doesn't come off as very marine, but the saltiness is definitely present, wrapping the rose in a fresh and crystalline blanket. The scent is very well balanced and leans slightly feminine, although it remains in the unisex realm. The salt and rose notes create a surprising equilibrium: cool but warm; familiar yet unexpected; simple but complex. I catch myself smelling my wrist the most when I'm wearing this perfume, and it has become a year-round easy reach. Also, this layers beautifully with other scents from most categories — it will elevate them and lend a crisp and sophisticated rosy edge. It melds while still retaining its integrity. Balanced perfection!

Very very beautifully balanced in everything. As many bellow, I usually can’t stand rose notes unless they are almost none existent. But here it is just a perfect complement to truly marine aquatic base, both never overpower each other, going hand in hand. Really romantic and slightly nostalgic, while being light in non floral way, subdue, but not nonexistent. It projects on me for about 10h, it never screams, yet doesn’t whisper either. Perfect for everyday and every season, doesn’t feel wrong in the winter at all, since it reminds of summer time seaside. Just really really beautiful. As a floral hater, bought a full bottle.

Very pretty fresh wild rose in the first rays of sunlight, this gentle scent radiates for the first 15 min when its followed up by soft savoury sea breeze. Interestingly, the rose won't disappear but accompanies the scent of sandy dunes and sea in a bright summer day. Pretty and happy scent, clean and gentle, gorgeous and romantic for warm summer vacations. Don't expect any actual seaweed note. But the scent effortlessly paints the picture of gorgeous remote Nordic seaside with wild rose bushes in full blossom around midsummer day. FB of this will be in my summer scent list as I know just the beach like this to wear it on.

Again this is such an interesting scent to me.. At first spray all I got was Salt. Just straight up salt. It was very mineral like and rather fitting for part of the name. Suddenly, the Rose came in and it’s a beautiful, citrus faceted Rose that just blended beautifully with the salty notes, which surprised me. The dry down is very salty, so much so that it hits the back of my throat slightly but with a strong Rose facet and a very spicy, almost hot feel of Pink Pepper. A while later something powdery/woody comes into view which would be the Cashmeran. It’s a compellingly odd fragrance for me, but I like it!

This is gorgeous and unique--the blood orange opening, with the salt and rose is to-die-for. Sadly, the longevity is just not there. I get about 90 minutes on my skin. Only 15 minutes with the orange top note. I'm going to play around with layering with a blood orange lotion and see if that helps. Sad because I would absolutely buy a full bottle otherwise. UPDATE: The longevity seems better on subsequent wears--maybe something was up with my skin chemistry before. It lasted 24 hours on clothes. Ended up finding a great deal on a used bottle via Mercari.

I have 6 frags from this Maison, and I find it really strange that they average a 3+ on most of their frags, I absolutely adore their frags, and although to me, this is extremely feminine, it's so comforting for me, that I simply adore it, it smells like sitting on a porch on breezy sunny, but not very warm day, where there the salty froth of the sea can be smelled and breezes past some flowers in the front porch where I'm sat, bring in that mixture of rose and salt, which then just melts away into what id call some feminine slightly sweet smell.

I cannot express how much I adore this perfume. I blind bought this bottle in 30ml in April and brought it with me on vacation. It’s almost empty and I can’t wait to repurchase! I own over 50 perfumes and I can’t explain how I’ve been longing for a perfume like this. If you don’t like to smell sweet but rather classy and clean, this is the best! It reminds me a lot of a discontinued Issey Miyake perfume back in 2014. It has great longevity and sillage, without being overpowering, all my friends compliment me and beg me asking what I’m wearing!

I've been sampling Rose SaltifOlia for a few days now and think it's the closest approximation to a true "beach rose"- specifically those that thrive on the rocky costal beaches in New England- that I've come across. A sweet and fresh rose that perfumes the chilly salt air. These notes all translate beautifully in Maison Crivelli's Rose SaltifOlia- equal parts rose and salt water, with nuanced hits of pink pepper and woods in the dry down to keep things interesting. One of the most successful aquatic roses I've come across.

I really enjoy this take on rose; it's definitely more unique than so many others I've tried. Rose notes can tend to go too heavy on me, but the combination with seawater and salt here keeps this smelling really fresh and light. If you're not looking at the notes I think you would classify this as rose plus something, but it might be hard to pin down--just sharp and clean in rea really nice way. Could definitely be pulled off at any gender or age. This had a little bit of radiation on me and lasted a little over 6 hours.

a beautiful airy seaside fragrance. i tested this on one hand & rose atlantic on the other - crivelli won by a landslide. clean, refreshing, with a sparkling opening and peaceful, grounded drydown. i get a hint of blood orange, thankfully less screechy than durga’s citrus bomb opening. if i were to describe this “kind” of rose, i’d call it a coastal city rose in motion. wear it with linen in summer, and a black leather bomber and jeans in winter. i ended up buying a 100ml and i’ll wear it year round.

A beautifully blended, soft and salty aquatic rose. It is the ultimate scent for capturing that warm, sleepy, post-beach, feeling. It’s basking in the garden with freshly washed hair and refreshing rose spritz in hand, and to me it so accurately brings up a very indulgent feeling of lazing about during the endless Australian summer holidays. Most people are off work for Christmas and New Year and there’s an atmosphere of freedom and freshness in the afternoon air.

Maison Crivelli shines with floral fragrances and this is simply the finest marine floral I’ve put my nose to yet. Achingly beautiful, photorealistic rose, not “jammy” or powdery/matronly, growing on a cliff overlooking a churning sea spraying the petals as it crashes on the rocks. The late morning sun is glistening on the droplets of sea water and you can smell the marine ecosystem down below. Full bottle material for me, unfortunately.

my favorite perfume!! smells fresh and dainty while still being unique. salty water with a hint of rose, but the rose is really faint. ill say its unisex leaning feminine. my friend said it smells like iced dracontomelon water (😀) which i can see why because of the saltiness. someone from SEA gotta understand what iced dracontomelon water smells like so ill just throw that out there. still, lovely rosy perfume.

There's blood orange in this fragrance, not sure why it isn't listed here. The sour notes definitley come from the citrus. Smells clean, soapy, salty and slightly cold. I love it, but I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking. It's very similar to the Dr. Teals epsom salts with rose essential oil! Does not last long, it's barely detectable after about 2 or 3 hours, but something about it keeps me coming back.

I finally bought a full bottle of this for spring/summer. If you like the scent of rose, but don't like cloying or overly sweet fragrances, this may be the one for you. It's a clean rose with a marine base, almost like standing on a beach and someone dipped a rosebud in the ocean and gave it to you to smell. I love roses and I love this ocean, so this is an absolute yes for me.

A rose scent that isn’t too tart or overly intense—perfectly balanced for both summer and winter wear. The petals feel soft, sheer, and almost translucent, as if bathed in sea water, touched by a hint of salt and moss. My partner and I often swap fragrances to change things up, and this one truly stands out as a beautiful unisex scent that works effortlessly on both of us.

I absolutely love this fragrance, I just wish the longevity was better. I get the hit of salty rose all the way through, but the dry down is really quiet. Very similar to DS&Durga ‘s Rose Atlantic. It’s more of a Spring / Summer scent, but I wear it from time to time in winter because I get a cool iciness in it that goes well with the season and my vibe sometimes.

i don't know how else to describe my experience with this fragrance other than to say it's a melancholy shade of nostalgic. reminds me a little of my grandparents little cabana on the beach in the condo complex they lived in when i was young; clean, salty, and probably less sophisticated than it is in my memories. one of my favorite roses.

Stunning, stunning, stunning. Although this is painfully on the lower projecting side (but it does have great staying power!), nothing compares to this beauty. The fresh marine salt, the slightly savoury rose wafting through the air, the almost sandy textured quality to the scent.

Never been a fan of rose notes but this is the first Rose scent that I'm fully in love with. Love the saltiness. Sits close to the skin after a few hours and just gives me tranquil seaside vibes, the smell of roses in the sea breeze. Leans more unisex than feminine to my nose.

Mmmmm so good. The rose and the marine accords are a superb combination. This is one of the greater rose perfumes out there. It's slightly dirty, but also fresh. It's fresh and also interesting with depth. A really good fragrance.

I had this olfactory sensation 3 years ago and I had it again when I purchased a sample yesterday: it smells like a juicy ripe pear. I love pear note, and this is my top 1 pear perfume and its not even a pear perfume.

Rose SaltifOlia is Aquatic Rose! A marine, slightly salty rose scent. Not that common but for guys who like aquatic/marine and rose, you can check this out. Has the amberguis muskiness also if u like it.

I enjoy this very much, it's a mellow, realistic, marine salty rose, which is unisex and beautiful. It reminds me of Le Labo Rose 31. A great perfume, even if it's a bit weak.

Maison Crivelli is a house that I've been intrigued by for a while, so I bought a discovery set. Rose Saltifolia is my first Crivelli to try, chosen at random. It can be summed up as a marine-rose scent, an intriguing combination that works quite well. I don't love marine scents at the best of times, but with the addition of rose, one of my favourite notes, it is a summertime scent that I might wear. RS is a marine scent through-and-through, fresh and aquatic up top with some nice saltiness, adding a beachy feel. The rose follows closely, predictably lightweight and dewy. The overall effect is airy and refreshing. As it develops, seaweed adds a "seaside earthiness", complementing the rose in the manner of patchouli. There is a mineralic edge, but it thankfully narrowly avoids window cleaner territory - a common pitfall of marine scents. It becomes softly woody and musky as it dries down, with the rose lingering in the background and the marine accord prominent throughout. Sillage is intimate and longevity is moderate. It is unisex in my opinion, and is made for spring/summer days. Marine scents will never be my thing, but RS is a nice example of its genre. It is fresh and sheer, and is nicely-composed overall. Roses on a sea breeze. 3.5/5.

Rose SaltifOlia is a gorgeously unique take on rose, with a strong Mediterranean feel to it with those gentle salty-marine facets pushing through. I enjoy it quite a lot actually, but I’m just unsure if I would continue to remain so fond of it once I’d worn it a few times and the novelty had worn off. The rose itself is beautifully delicate, gentle and airy as though the scent of a nearby rose bush was drifting through the breeze on a Mediterranean coastline. The salty marine accord is equally as gorgeous, and perfectly tamed so as to not overpower the rose, with subtle hints of a seaweed accord to deepen this aquatic feel. As I said, it’s gorgeous. I will thoroughly enjoy wearing my sample during the summer, and I may end up getting a bottle of the price is right, but for now it’s something I’m happy to have experienced but don’t feel the need to add it to my collection.

I think Crivelli have more “memorable” fragrances so this tender composition feels a bit overshadowed by the others in their line. Although this fresh airy rose is not groundbreaking, I think it deserves a good word because it is done very very well. A safe fresh, watery rose with dusting of salt. Don’t get scared off by the listed “marine, seaweed” notes. No brine or fish in here! To me it smells of salt - clean minerals, cool cristals. Gives an impression that is ozonic, light, sunny, tender. To me smells more like a rose bush growing by a pristine waterfall that is falling on cold stones that have accumulated some minerals over many many years. Not a sea side rose. Immaculate.

At first I thought someting about syntetic freshie. The marine note didn't go well with the roses. Both strong and straightforward, seaweed smell uncomfortably heavy. But then Rose Saltifolia created splendid harmony. The combination of saltiness and ozonic breeze is magical. Rose is gentle, but divine in its purity. And musk in woody shape is alluring - a hint of animality in this light and airy fragrance. Vivid, refreshing and noble perfume. This fragrance I want to cherrish and enjoy every day. It is for summer-like season but who cares... Such wonderfull experience should not be limited. --- Projection could be stronger-stays close to the skin. Longevity cca 3-4 hours.

I like beachy, salty rose and wood scents in the summer so it's no surprise that this one also fits the bill. It's very natural, fresh and pleasant, definitely a breezy Summer's day perfume. However, I find it similar in nature to Nina Ricci ''Chant d'Extase '', which may even be slightly more interesting (and is inexpensive) so probably won't be adding this one to my long-term collection, unless it's one of those which grows on you over time. Rose SaltifOlia is subtler and more natural than Chant but the latter has a deeper, creamy vanilla caramel base that makes it somewhat gourmand with better projection and longevity.

The rose note here is light and aquatic, underpinned by both ambergris-like warmth, and mineral, marine coolness. Warm like tanned, oiled skin, and cold like seaweed twined around the iron chain of a sunken anchor. The composition here is unique, but subtle and well-balanced. The notes work cohesively together, yet remain distinct unto themselves until well into the dry down. It's nuanced and non-abrasive; a little bit peculiar but elegant, and light enough for even very hot weather—though I could see the seaweed note being a touch off-putting at first, particularly if worn in a muggy, enclosed environment.

The opening of this scent is wonderful. It's a fresh aquatic rose, and truly evokes the feeling of standing in a seaside garden. I find the fragrance to be incredibly refreshing and evocative, but the seaside rose is quickly swept away as this fragrance has poor longevity on me. The heart of rose is gone within 3 or 4 hours, and though I'm left with a pleasant salty marine scent from that point on, this too fades away with an additional hour or two on the skin. It's a beautiful, but ephemeral scent that does not match its price point.

This is a great “clean girl scent”. This is like an oceanic, salty, rose water (pink roses). It’s very refreshing. This is a perfect scent for those who don’t like their perfume to smell like perfume. This is a very gentle rose fragrance. Perfect for daytime in the spring or summer or even all year round. Initially the smell comes on strong but it dries down to a very intimate skin rose scent. This is also office friendly. No one could possibly be offended by this scent. Longevity is about 5-6 hours on skin.

First Impression: This is interesting. Take seaweed and salt and combine it rose. It sounds disgusting but the execution isn't bad. It's not a hardcore seaweed, so it doesn't come off like iodine. I wear a lot of salt fragrances so I really don't need this one, but it's an original and pleasant outside the box take on a aquatic fragrance. It's not entirely original but this smells very different from DS&Durga Rose Atlantic which from what I remember, felt like a cold sea. This is warmer.

Beautiful, salty, aromatic rose. A lovely take on the marine accord. Gently sweet, sandy seaweed. And some airy, soapiness. It feels like a walking on a wild beach in winter-time to me. Very enchanting. Intricately blended. Calming and clear. A little too clean for me, and perhaps leaning a bit too synthetic or shampoo-y. With not many authentic/natural notes I'm detecting aside from the rose. VERDICT: A lovely, truly unisex, clean fragrance. Not my style, sadly. Too clean for me.

Really love this fragrance that is true to the name. Salty green rose. But it barely lasted 2 hours on my skin and sillage is very weak. With this price tag, it just is not worth it. Much prefer Rose America from Une Nuit Nomade, which is a similar salty rose experience but has the beautiful addition of tart raspberry, clove-like carnation and musky ambrette — add excellent performance and a lower price tag and it is the clear winner.

Salty, aquatic, and gently floral, in that order. A tiny bit of sweetness emerges after letting it settle for a bit, but in the slightest way. It is nice, but I can't help but feel let down. Despite being named after arguably the most beautiful floral, the rose note is so faint that you wouldn't be able to pick up on it in a blind smell test. Extremely wearable, I do like the fresh saltiness, but not exciting.

A lovely salty, airy rose. Very aquatic and elegantly musky. The notes mix really well and I can see why everyone seems to be enamored by this modern take on a watery rose that is youthful and uplifting. The performance isn’t bad either, sticks to skin well and makes you feel fresh during humid hot days. I will say there is something a bit plain for me to buy a full bottle, but it’s not bad at all.

The person below me said this is like if Byredo's Young Rose was salty and oceanic, and they couldn't be more accurate. It is very salty and marine, but the rose tames and complements the oceanic qualities of it. It's not a "beastmode" fragrance but it lasts remarkably long for a summer fragrance. Overall it's beautiful, but I don't see myself being able to pull it off. 8/10

gorgeous, but polarizing? you get a pretty rose with an extremely heavy, salty, and almost stinky marine accord. there's something sour happening here (probably due to the seaweed), but it is very accurate to the scent left on clothing after returning home from the beach. also very long-lasting, which is nice.

I don’t know why but this smells so French to me! It smells clean and very chic. Like I am dressed impeccably and walking on the Champs-Élysées on a stroll. See? I feel French already! I honestly cannot detect any salty/sea notes, just roses and freshness! It’s super cute and youthful. Definitely worth a try!!

For a French company, Maison Crivelli is really nailing many scents that remind me of coastal and north western North America . This is quite a realistic wild rose growing on a cliff with ocean waves crashing below. It’s not wowing me, but I like it, it’s comforting and I’m kind of impressed.
