Reviewing a sample of the EDP from 2026. Nhật Bình was launched in 2025. Nhật Bình is a powdery iris as smooth as silk - or is it actually polyester? Nhật Bình opens with a waft of synthetic haze, not rice as expected. Fortunately within a minute this settles into lovely orange blossom powdered with iris. The base of sandalwood and incense is barely detectable. Where is the gold that I was so curious about??? I don't know as there is no metallic accord. The brand write-up goes on about ambergris but there is none apparent here only ambroxan and synthetic musks which ruin it for me. I find overuse of ambroxan/ambermusks distorts fragrances making them both overly clean and two dimensional (other materials get clobbered unless they themselves are nuclear). Quality 3/5 excellent blending; real ambergris/musk instead of ambroxan/synthetic musks would have made this special Unisex- leans feminine Performance 4/5 good sillage; lasts 4-6 hours Overall Nhật Bình was not a success for me. The idea of a Vietnamese twist on the classic iris/musk/sandalwood by adding rice, gold and saffron is interesting but execution failed due to the materials. Not everyone feels this way and some like the laundry clean approach. Decide as per your personal taste. Samples are available. 6.5/10

This is my favorite scent in the whole series. In my opinion, it is a smooth blend between Florentine Iris and Another 13, plus a little highlight of the very traditional powdery scent of Vietnamese women in the palace. Guys still can wear it daily. Luxurious, discreet, classic but not outdated. You can feel it more than smell this scent, and it gently lasts on my clothes until the next days. Strongly recommend.

I'm in love with this perfume. It's absolutely captivating and feels so soft and feminine yet it projects throughout the day with It's strength. It makes me feel like a beautiful empress. It continously evolves during wear and goes from powdery iris to an almost gourmand type of finish. It's a true work of art and the bottle is stunning with its clay cap. 10/10
