I'm a pefume reviewer and my homeland is Hue, Vietnam. This fragrance truly brings me back home with Vietnamese oud. This perfume depicts the space of a palace or temple with incense, oud, the old woody vibes and the smell of fruit often displayed on the altar. Very traditional, very Vietnamese and classic, reminding of the old dynasty main hall of the Citadel of Hue. I'm coming home now. 9/10 Must have and a big applause for new indie brand from Vietnam. A bottle with a pure woody and oud scent, not easy for daily wear but truly distinctive in its fragrance

A very calm and unique oud scent. It's truly exude the feeling of a majestic historic place, which is a citadel of Hue in Vietnam. A scent of traditional with modern imagination. The mid leans toward a "santal-ish" vibe but still keep it own dna. I smelled like +300 perfume from designer to niche to indie but this scent impressed me of how unique it is. A great scent to have in any collection, plus the packaging is top notch level and the perfume's story is inspiring. So proud of my country Vietnam and this house.

Reviewing an EDP sample from 2025. Cố Cung was launched in 2025. Cố Cung embodies the experience of a Vietnamese altar from the ancient Imperial city of Hue with typical temple offerings of buddha hand and other citrus fruit as well as flowers and Vietnamese Oud. This opens with a soft unusual citrus accord and an initial faint waft of Khanh Hoa Oud. Soon beautiful exotic feeling florals expand the scent. Over time the citruses and florals fade revealing a woody, leathery Oud base (no leather notes are listed but it is definitely there likely from Styrax). The Oud is balanced by balsams and faint patchouli; it is soft and wearable. This is not a skanky Indian type Oud. My only request would be for the citrus and floral opening to last a bit longer as it is unique and so beautiful. Quality- 4.5/5 (excellent materials and blending) Unisex - leans slightly masculine Performance - 4/5 stays close; lasts 6-8 hours Overall, this is a unique and wearable high quality Oud fragrance with a lovely citrus/floral opening. They do offer a sample set which I recommend if you would like to try an Asian brand with depth. There are a few new Vietnamese fragrance houses besides D'Annan (which I do like but found too many of their fragrances short lived, light and overly mass appealing). Maison de Nguyễn impressed me the most of those I managed to find while in Vietnam for it's quality and uniqueness. 8/10

Too sad. Imitates the scent of famous brands in the world. Old bottle, new wine. Excessive advertising. Not worth the money spent.
