Baklava Al Sultan

So I'm not sure what real baklava is supposed to smell like to be quite honest, I just really like pistachio notes. This oddly has a spruce/pine like scent in the sample bottle, but on skin it becomes much more floral. I will say as someone who HATES florals, this is actually quite nice! I still get the pistachio coming through clearly and there's definitely like a pastry/honey sort of vibe to the sweeter notes. It can be a liiiittle bit grandma/powdery at times but idk I still like it, this is something a hot grandma would wear. The projection on this is also absurd! I tested it on my ankle (I had a lot of samples to get through...) and can smell it quite strongly when I stand up.

Pretty & sweet white floral. I am not picking up much Baklava.

I grew up in Philly around A LOT of Turkish restaurants, it's literally my favorite type of food to eat. I say this because I know exactly what Baklava and Loukhoum is supposed to smell/taste like. They're both so good, and the flaky pastry crust of Baklava mixed with honey and pistachios brings back so many memories of back home (I'm no longer in Philly). This perfume definitely captures the cross between the smell and taste of both treats rather well. I'm reading these reviews confused by how some can't smell what I smell so clearly but it just goes to show how personal scent can be. What I get most is Baklava, pistachio, and Loukhoum in that exact order. Absolutely addicting scent that leans masculine on my skin and projects at arms length. Strong but won't choke anyone out and is NOT offensive for office use. Longevity is good but not beast mode, you'll get 6 hours + out of this easily. It's not sicky sweet for a gourmand, thanks to the subtle floral notes that dance in the be background with the Loukhoum. This was a VERY successful blind buy that intrigued me based on the notes listed and didn't disappoint. Good thing I wasn't influenced by some of the reviews below and followed my own intuition here.

This is funky on my skin. I think it’s the hazelnut but idk. Or the honey? It’s not heavy on the honey though so idk. Pistachio is always a hard one for me because only about 5% of them smell good to me. I’m getting a tiny bit of fruitiness in there too and florals. This one is a pass for me. It’s not terrible but it’s not at all what I was expecting or wanted.

The pistachio is nice at first but then I really don’t like the dry down Smells like high pitched white florals that aren’t nicely blended at all and soapy I much prefer affection for a nice pistachio perfume or heal the way over this Misleading name for the perfume
