After three to four hours, projection settles closer to four or five feet, and while the sillage softens, it remains noticeable. Around the seven to eight hour mark, projection and trail remain largely consistent with the earlier stage, perhaps just slightly lighter. Aqua Media Cologne Forte transitions into a skin scent at approximately the ten hour mark, offering longevity that exceeds expectations for this style of fragrance. Final Verdict: Aqua Media Cologne Forte is a fragrance I genuinely enjoyed spending time with. EA Green Tea is the immigrant mother who moved countries to give a better life for her daughter, MFK Aqua Media. A joke, of course, but my immigrant mother wears EA Green Tea and I've *just* purchased a 70ml bottle of Aqua Media. Given that people are rating them as similar, I swiped my mum's bottle of GT and am testing them both on my wrists. If you're not too into these citrusy tea fragrances, they'll smell similar to you. Of course, the longevity of GT is about thirty minutes (my mum would spritz hers and walk through the mist, then in the car when she'd drive me to school I couldn't smell it anymore) while AM has lasted up to six hours on my skin. But they're different in other ways, too. On me AM initially smells like photorealistic herbs and citruses, while GT is pure rubbing alcohol. Then AM becomes the scent of an *expensive* hotel lobby, or hotel toiletries. Fresh and green and sharp. I love it on me as a 21 y/o girl, but I'd also think very highly of a guy who wears this. I imagine people who may not like AM on themselves may approve of its concept as a room scent. A few minutes into drydown I get a rather sweet floral (hedione?) and something green and maybe herbal (tea, but also fennel?). GT becomes a pretty, powdery, comforting citrus-white floral, like you've showered using the aforementioned hotel toiletries and a floral bar soap. GT is absolutely more feminine. The citrus notes in GT also quickly fade on me, leaving behind if you'd heavily watered AM down with powders and florals. Waving my wrists in front of my nose quickly, they are for sure similar, but AM is definitely sharper and much, much stronger. Wearing AM makes me feel expensive and like I have my sh*t together. Wearing GT makes me feel clean for the 30 minutes that I can smell it. As an aside, I think GT has changed. My memory of mum wearing GT in the 2000s smelled a lot more like AM than the replacement I bought her a couple years ago.

A wonderful dewy morning tea party in a well kept garden. Clean. Refreshing. Versatile. An OVERDOSE of verbena, fennel, and citrus smack you in the face as soon as you spray this on. Then as it dries the verbena becomes surrounded by these super refreshing dewy green notes and mate tea, a wonderful clean white musk backbone gives it a bit more nuance than just a green and citrusy verbena bomb. Basic? Overdone? Simple? Yeah, sure, but so is Grand Soir. Simplicity does NOT equal bad, but I will agree that the price for this is absurd. To me this would make a superb dumb reach for any occasion or any time, and I can attest that this SINGS off my skin under some heat, and isn't as much of a slouch performance wise that people make it out to be. Same with Grand Soir, I wouldn't go into trying this fragrance expecting the next BR540 or Aventus or any other big new innovative, ground breaking, fraghead aphrodisiac, that is not what this is. This is the type of fragrance that you could wear to the office, before a shower while running a couple errands, walking the dog, hell even the gym, and people will enjoy it; I know sure well I do. Personally, if I ever come across the 1 in a billion find of a big or normal bottle of this on the cheap, I'll scoop as it's just so easy to wear, but until this moment I'll savor my sample. Moderate projection indoors with strong projection when under some heat, 6-8 hour performance as well. 9/10. Signature Scent worthy. Side note: One of the best part of this fragrance for me is that even people typically sensitive to scents really enjoy how airy and nice this is. If you work or are commonly in an environment where that may be an issue, I'd suggest getting a sample of this and Mugler Cologne Come Together, very similar vibes but the quality and performance on this is better.

A Winner from Francis Kurkdjian. I absolutely love when "vegetal" notes work so well in a composition. They add so much abstraction, organic depth and complexity. Aqua Media Forte is very bergamot heavy, with an underlying "effervescent" and energetic vegetal sweetness from a fennel accord. The composition masterfully dances on my skin with bright and fresh complexity, from tart and bitter vegetal facets to zesty and slightly sweet sparkling facets, with a smooth perfectly executed bergamot accord sealing the whole thing together. What's more pleasantly shocking to me in this is the musk used in the base. I can definitely smell animalic musk in this (probably a synthetic replacement but still), and it's inserted impeccably not to get in the way of the whole "sparkling energy" vibe that this scent was made to convey. Absolutely great performance on my skin as well. Quite possibly the best performing scent in its category that I ever sprayed on my skin. And this earns it more points from me. I mean who doesn't like a great performer? :P Two "fennel-y" thumbs up :)

I LOVE this fragrance as I recently moved to a warm climate and was looking for a new citrus fragrance that had something special to it. This perfume is so good if you live somewhere HOT, like tropical hot. This fragrance is a very aquatic and fruity citrus that has a great amount of special notes allowing it to be very different while still a crowd pleaser if that matters to you. I love the matcha, because it is truly green and not as “frosty”/sweet as other examples I have tried. I really thought I hated matcha until I tried this iteration. If you love citrus fragrances but are a bit bored with what you currently have, try this one. It’s deliciously fruity and has a nice amount of the MFK DNA without being heavy handed. It’s also a very nice price compared to the others. This one is also great for carrying with you-it will never be too strong or too much and is great for a 30 ML in your handbag.

Aqua Media certainly stands out in the world of fresh/green fragrances. The choice for the bottle's color is spot-on, sitting right in the midpoint between blue and green, perfectly reflecting the vibe of the scent itself. Right off the initial spray, the match comes in full force, and stays throughout the life of the fragrance. Surprising, since it's considered one of the base notes, but it seems to be the highlight of the scent and possibly overdosed. Quite possible that all the other notes are just seamlessly blended in with the matcha, which would explain the linearity of it all as well as the insane longevity for this type of profile (8+ hours, for a freshie!!!). It's so greatly refreshing to the point where I feel like I'm breathing in 50%+ oxygen (as opposed to the usual ~21% oxygen in air). Maybe athletes should consider wearing this one for races ;)

I don't understand how people think it's a copy of Green Tea. I wish it were! I usually hate tea scents. For this, I get an opening of both bitter blood orange zest and very soft orange (or I guess bergamot) -- as soft as the white mushy part of the orange peel. The matcha at the end is very soft too, matcha minus the tea. But what gets me hooked on this is the freezing sensation of fennel in the middle. It makes my nose feel physically cold. It's like opening a window on a winter morning while someone in your household has just come out of the shower wearing an aftershave. When you walk around wearing this, the trace around you is very sweet and gentle. Luckily it's not as expensive as some other MFK scents so I will def buy a full bottle.

I have been using fragrantica for a while now , I’ve had my nose on hundreds of different perfumes and never really felt like I had anything to add . But this having 3.9 is criminal , I understand people’s tastes aren’t going to be the same ,plus the money for a 70ml is diabolical. If someone ask me to define minimalism , this would be it . Nothing groundbreaking at all but it is so good at what it does . I’ve tried 6 kurkdjian creations and this is top 2 just behind Narcisso Rodriguez for him (2007) but one trend that seems to be repeating is “less is more” . Kurkdjian is great at knowing when something is complete and if he added or subtracted anything to aqua media its whole concept would collapse . So effortless, straight 10 for me

What a gorgeous green summer scent, the perfect companion to my trip to the Dominican Republic. I used up half of a small bottle, should have gotten the large. This scent smells so much like Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee, but upgraded, more refined. It was a highly complimented fragrance among my vacation party and sillage was six feet easy, stronger and more complemented than the Hermes on me. It lasted about 4-6 hours on my skin before reapplication was necessary. Not to mention, this is probably my favorite bottle in my collection in terms of how pleasing and calming it is to look at. I will savor every last drop of this welcoming, vegetal scent.

At the risk of sounding elitist, I think this fragrance has gone over a lot of people's heads. Those who say it just smells like cilantro have egregiously oversimplified this beautiful, nuanced fragrance. The herbaceous note is but one component of many - and is closer to Japanese shiso leaf (more specifically, yukari [shiso leaf marinaded in pickled plum]). Though the brand is French, it's a type of scent dna you often smell in Japan - clean, light, aromatic, tea like. I find it to be incredibly peaceful, serene, and dreamlike. A perfect signature scent for those who love freshies, but don't want to smell like every other fresh fragrance out there.

This has quickly become one of my new favorites. I don’t understand all the hate. It does not smell like cilantro. It smells like a very orange zest citrus fragrance. Less on the sweet side and more on the bitter side like orange zest rather than the inner fruit. So extremely bright, summery and long lasting. I smell myself all day when I wear this cologne. It is one of the strongest in my collection of over 70 at the moment. Don’t let the bad reviews turn you away from an amazing and UNIQUE fragrance. If you want to smell original and unlike anyone you know or will meet, this is a truly amazing option.

This has officially dethroned MFK 724 as my favorite MFK fragrance. This just cuts through the stench of sweat and greasy skin/scalp when living in the height of the humid Philippines' summer (up to 95- 105 F). If you loved the freshness of EA Green Tea, L'Occitane Verbena or Vert lines of fragrance this is even punchier. When you are stuck indoors through the heavy rains that makes the air smell a bit moldy and damp this is also your answer. I love how the fennel blends with bergamot and matcha. I need the 200ml bottle in my life.

I tried it once a month ago very briefly, and I did not like it. Then I tried it a month later, and it all changed. This scent is really nice. Airy, green, and almost juicy. It is really refreshing, like a cold glass of water on a hot summer day. The longevity is projection are just how you expect for a fresh fragrance from mfk, 4-5 hours with some projection in the first hour and a half. This reminds me a lot of herbes troublantes by guerlain if it was lighter, and juicier. Really nice fragrance. 8.9/10

This is amazing. I was a lover of Elizabeth Ardens Green Tea but since I caught covid that developed quite a strong alcoholic scent to it. This is Green Tea, with a little more sharpness and without the alcohol. I love everything about this. An edit about two months after I posted this review: my husband thinks I smell like yum cha when I wear this, he's told me he associated yum cha with the smell of chrysanthemum tea. Every time I spray this he comes out of his office thinking I've made a pot of tea.

This is my record holder for the shortest time between application and the first compliment. The only word to describe this is ADDICTIVE. It feels like if it's something I've smelled long ago, yet can't remember what exactly. Very fresh, clean, with great performance on clothes, and as a long-lasting skin scent. Would totally rebuy even before I get through the travel sized bottle I bought specifically for a holiday trip.

What captivates me the most in this perfume is the matcha bitterness (which btw isn ́t super strong). Also, for the ones complaining about the fennel, I think it adds up personality! haha - but I ́m a fan of citrus, fresh notes. It is not as overpowering as it seems. This is great for hot weather and is long lasting without being invasive. If it wasn ́t for the price, it would be a signature of mine.

I understand the criticism that it is not a particularly unique scent profile or outstanding value. Still, it is a lovely scent for warm weather, and the tea note adds a bit of uniqueness. I have no regrets about buying it, but I would definitely sample it beforehand. It is one of those scents that is slightly better than many other freshies, which you may or may not think is worth paying extra for.

Really fresh! This is my first MFK and I like this better than the more popular ones. It's citrusy but I appreciate the tea note a lot. Reminds me of EA green tea but this is more unisex. I don't really like when tea scents get sweet so I appreciate the bitterness that I get from this. I have Wulong Cha, which I like but I like this more because it's not feminine-leaning.

I'm gonna save you all some time, it smells like freshly cut cilantro with generic freshie aquatics in the background. After a few hours, the cilantro smell goes away and it becomes a very bold and unique fresh semi-sweet aquatic fragrance. Love it so much but can't get that cilantro smell out of my head. Don't care tho I still love it.

There is just something about this scent that draws me to it. It's just so different than what I usually wear and it almost captivates me. It's a shame I just found out about it, as this is going to be in my spring/summer rotation for sure. I personally love it. To me it's a zesty fresh green scent that I really like.

Effervescent citrus with a backbone of fennel (that comes across a bit like coriander/cilantro). Photorealistic and quite addictive. Doesn't last an age (understandable given the profile), but it's really good while it lasts. Would be a 9/10 if it was cheaper. Do not blind buy (it might be too green for you)! 8.5/10

It’s like a bottled version of a fully planned vacation adventure. Refreshing like chugging an ice-cold Sprite from a vending machine on the side of the road under the blazing sun. The moment you arrive at your holiday destination, it revives you like a breeze blowing through green plants straight to your face.

A real green one. In my perception is more like Herba Fresca Gurlain. I feel a minty, hearb-y breeze like lying in a grassland in the summer. It gives me energy and optimism. I sometimes like to combine it with Initio Musk Therapy and my kids - late teens) always say "Mom, you smell so, so good!"

One of the best freshies for me, I adore aqua media cologne forte, gorgeous mix of green and citrus notes, this has really good longevity esp on clothes, it's stays on my clothes to the next day, media beats imagination etc for me, it's mouth watering good, 10/10

This is a summer fragrance ONLY. If you don't like tea blend scents or green notes, this would not be for you, but I would still suggest obtaining a sample first because you never know. It's one of my favorites, but I love Floraiku's "I am coming home" better.

wulong cha is more citrusy with a little touch of tea, green is more realistic in wulong cha. aqua media is greener with a nice citric accord. green is more here but not as realistic in wulong cha. it’s like an orphan of wulong cha and hermes herbes vives.

I sampled this first at macys then went on to buying a full bottle. It's a fresh, light, citrus with tea. Perfectly unisex and has a special complexity that makes for a unique summer fragrance. Will be wearing this for the summer 9/10. Scent and longevity.

3.87 rating is risible. This is beautiful, starts strong, develops into somewhat airy, maybe floral citrus, with a slight sweetness. Perfect for a summer wedding where you want to smell great, but not the centre of fragrance attention. 4/5

Every perfumes from this line smells pissy as hell except Aqua Media... a crisp and clean green-citrusy scent with green tea and a touch of subtle floral notes. Bright and effervescent, sans the skanky piss undertone.

Moving away from Aqua Celestia Cologne Forte and over to Aqua Media Cologne Forte, we have another bright, fresh scent in the Aqua lineup. Inspired by the color green, which sits at the center of the rainbow prism and represents harmony and fluidity, Aqua Media aims to strike a balance between freshness, greenery, and softness. So let's see how well that balance works and how it stacks up. The opening of Aqua Media is super fresh, bright, and citrusy. Unlike Aqua Celestia which pairs bergamot with a tart blackcurrant note Aqua Media instead combines bergamot with vervain. The vervain adds a green almost bitter edge that works really well with the citrus. Mixed with touches of fennel the opening feels very botanical and natural. It is what I imagine being in a spa surrounded by fresh plants while sipping on a glass of lemon water. After about 20 to 30 minutes the fragrance starts to transition. Hedione comes forward and continues the green citrus character from the opening but now everything feels a little lighter and more airy. It's almost like we've moved from the stems and leaves of the plants up into the air surrounding the flowers. The scent becomes more transparent while still holding onto that clean refreshing feeling. After about an hour the matcha and musk begin to emerge. The matcha note is really nice and honestly reminds me that I need to spend more time exploring tea fragrances. It has a mild vegetal quality with touches of earthiness and as it continues to dry down it even develops a slight creaminess when blended with the musk. Together they create a soft clean finish that feels very smooth and easy to wear. This is another fragrance from MFK that feels very unisex while remaining clean pleasant and approachable. The tart citrus opening blends nicely with the evolving herbal and earthy facets before settling into a powdery slightly musky matcha drydown. If you enjoy citrus scents with a spa-like tea-inspired character then this is definitely one worth trying. I was really impressed with the last MFK fragrance I sampled and Aqua Media continues that trend.

A pretty pleasant citrusy, green, and airy fragrance that honestly impressed me a little (as I wasn't a fan of the other Aqua Cologne Forte's), but also due to it punching above its weight with both projection and longevity. What i mainly get frlm this scent on my skin is a potent blast of citruses, and I also get a fair bit of what I'd classify as Cilantro but it does smell a little different in a way I can't quite explain but still very very much reminds me of cilantro (seems many of the reviews below me also agree with that comparison), there's also a prominent fresh airyness I get on my skin that albeit isn't as strong as the citrus or the "cilantro" note, it still prominent and adds a relaxing to it, it stays like this for I'd say 80-90% of its wearing, only changing near the end of its wearing to reveal some musks and something else (which id presume is supposed to be the Matcha note?). I surprisingly get moderate projection after a relatively strong opening (on my skin) that projects well for around 2 or so hours before becoming a medium-slightly light projecting fragrance, overall it also lasts around 4-5 hours on my skin as well, as for seasons this is definitely only a spring n summer daytime fragrance, in terms of occasions I'd say it could be rocked in casual outings well, or formal occasions if you so wish. Also this fragrance is perfectly unisex in my opinion Honestly it's not entirely my style of scent or my type of fragrance but I still like it nonetheless, I personally only wear on occasion after a nightime shower as something to uplift me and give a refreshing/revitalising vibe before bedtime, but if I smellt this in public on someone else I'd enjoy it. A strong 7.7/10 for me

The composition holds for six hours, sillage intimate, matcha-wood persisting with finesse. It evokes an Italian dawn, crisp yet approachable, transitioning seamlessly to evening wear. Technical harmony prevails—citrus brightens, woods ground, hedione bridges with airy linearity. A refined cologne, understated yet calculated, balancing freshness with sophisticated depth.

I expected this to be bitter and crisp, but was surprised by how much sweetness there is here! Not in a winter fragrance way at all. Just in a way that removes bitterness and gives a very slight candied edge to the notes. Like how bitter things transform in taste when you make jam out of them with loads of sugar. The fennel note slightly candied with an edge of sweetness reminds me of green marmalade candies. I do get matcha tea if I think about it, especially towards the dry-down. But the main effect I get is still green marmalade jelly candies. Kinda pear-like. I think this would be unpalatably vegetal without that sweetness. Edit: I tried Roja Dove's Burlington 1819, and it does long-lasting green freshness exactly like this fragrance. There's a pear marmelade candied edge. But that one is more citric and sharp, while this is more mellow and zen.

Out of all the MFK Cologne Forte's this is the best one IMO. It still should cost one third or fourth of what it does. MFK in general is so overpriced, and it makes it hard to concentrate on the perfume itself. It's nice, fresh, unyieldingly cool, thirst-quenching, good for the summer, but there is absolutely nothing about it that warrants the price. If you put a gun to someone's head and made them tell the difference on paper which is Aqua Media and which Arden's Green tea, there would be a lot of dead people. In general it's good that perfumers are getting their bag, but I'm not sure keeping hiking the prices up is the way to do it :/ I understand that perfume is a luxury, but soon the only luxurious thing about it will be the cost.
