After Image is a fragrance that is both sweet and smoky at the same time. A very delicate smokiness gently embraces a comforting sweetness, like honey dissolved in a warm herbal tea: you can feel it, taste it, and it lingers with you, keeping you company. It is a cocooning scent, a warm embrace that gives a feeling of completeness and grounding — almost like returning home. From Chimoni, an extremely professional maison with whom I’ve had the pleasure of communicating and exchanging ideas, this appears to have been their very first creation. And yet, it carries remarkable compositional wisdom. Though modern and realistic, it holds a surprising depth. Like all creations from the house, it feels photorealistic, multifaceted, and intricate, yet perfectly blended. Nothing feels out of place. On the skin, it matures, expands, and becomes rounder. With maceration, it improves even further, gaining body and harmony. 10/10 pure Cinema

Afterimage opens for me like a smokey sweet spice. As it dries down a little it's more subtile. Can smell the iris, it's sweet a boozy, but non of the scents operpower each other or get too much. This is so well balanced. This is another hit and it's really beautiful,and I love it, like all I've tried so far from the discovery set. As someone who lives in Scandinavia where it's cold and dark half the year, this will work so well. But again the 5 I've tried, all would work great in chilled weather

The most beautiful complex silky pungent rum scent Total obsession projection great in first hours drydown is to die for

A blast of bright rum and honey spills across a vintage Edwardian wooden desk, already darkened and softened by years of coffee stains and traces of alcohol. The liquid soaks into the cracked, worn leather surface, slowly being absorbed as if the wood itself is drinking it in. The room is warm, a fireplace toasting the air, releasing a subtle illusion of vanilla that seems to rise from the heat rather than any source. The desk feels alive under the warmth, as though memory is being reactivated through temperature and time. An open window interrupts the stillness. Cold air slips in, carrying faint wiffs of iris from a planted garden outside, clean, floral, and slightly distant, cutting through the richness of the room. Inside, everything becomes layered, warm rumed sweetness, aged wood, soft leather, fire warmed vanilla illusion, and cold iris air moving through it all. A place where warmth and cold coexist, like memory trying to hold onto itself.

This one grows on me... A strong punch of rum, honey, spices. Something smoky like a glass of hibiki whiskey glass on top an old mahogany wooden bar. This is sexy and unusual. I do smell some roasted coffee in the background. Its really good, wish it lasted a bit longer I didn't do side to side comparison, but it's on the same genre as suma oriental, but darker and more mysterious and without off putting notes
