I love this. I opened the bottle and just kept saying “Mmm”. I smell jasmine, but not super sweet jasmine, I definitely smell the cashmeran and “stem” greens in it too. After a few minutes the woody notes come through and they’re soft, not overpowering. It reminds me *slightly* of Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold but muuuuch less sweet and more fresh/woody-more unisex like it says. (In JS&M I smell sweet vanilla after it drys down, Stem is not like that) If you like clean, floral perfume then this is a great summer floral. I wouldn’t say it’s mind blowingly unique or anything...It just smells clean, pretty-to me it’s a crisp white tshirt smell. Casual but sophisticated and interesting. If I smelled it on someone else I’d definitely notice and ask what they’re wearing. M&G bottle looks nice in my collection too- I appreciate good design in fragrances. Overall I’m happy I have it!

Zyante—I’m not sure what musk and powder smell like to you, to me those smell like clean baby diapers or wipes or that classic baby powder smell. This doesn’t smell like that to me (I don’t like the musk/powder smell either) I get more clean, green floral stems with woods. The dry down is great too.

This is unexpected. Stem is what I'd imagine a little 19th century girl would smell like if she had her own special bottle of perfume - it's cheerful and youthful, but not in a way that's ultra-modern. This is floral bouquet through-and-through. The combination of hyacinth and freesia is youthful and innocent in a way that feels slightly vintage. As it dries down, it gets woodier and muskier, but remains light-hearted and girlish. Malin + Goetz tends to do fragrances that are more modern and unisex, and this is a left-of-field but charming departure. I don't know what got into them with this one!

This is such and interesting and a unique idea for a summer fragrance. It's definitely floral forward and is truly unisex. I think some men may find it too floral perhaps, especially in the mids. However the dry down is more musky and it leaves a scent similar to Thai garden after a heavy rain. It reminds me a bit of le labo Lys. Overall it truly is the scent of a flower shop and is a welcome change for a summer cologne compared to the usual suspects of bergamot and neroli etc. I would have preferred more 'edge' to it though, maybe a little bit more vetiver or cedar on the dry down.

Perfectly pleasant floral with an interesting daffodil stem note that shows up for about 30 seconds at the top. The first 3 minutes are interesting - with the beautiful airy sweet purple flowers (the hyacinth and freesia) and their stems. Dry down is a creamy, musky green jasmine and ambroxan combo with a hint of soap - not nearly as interesting, but pleasant enough. I can see this being a work scent for someone who wants to smell nice, but doesn't want to be noticed.

This is a very pretty floral fragrance. While nothing particularly special, it is lovely. It's clean hyacinth and freesia with something green on a bed of ambroxan, musk, and vetiver. It's an easy warm-weather pick, as it's very close to the skin. I like it a fair bit, but I don't know if I would spend the money on the full-size bottle unless I got a very good deal. It's the perfume the final girl of a horror movie wears BEFORE she survives the movie.

another case of dark rum and leather- this name was misleading as well because i was expecting something way more fresh and green. it's definitely a soapy, laundry-like floral with a heavy hand of ambroxan. so musky, flowery, maybe a little herbal. it was definitely pleasant though- would wear again for sureee EDIT- this is a banger for spring, ngl!!

Whipped this out as soon as the spring weather came out. Like, would be a love if it lasted longer. I'm usually a warm vanilla girl, but don't always want to smell sweet in the day time. This is a nice, juicy green. Nice and clean. Lasts about an hour though, unfortunate. Even with my vaseline between the boobs trick, no luck.

Smells very feminine when you first spray, but it dries on very gender neutral. This will match well with anyone’s natural pheromones. I am a woman and I love how gentle this is on the nose, it’s very pleasant. I also think it would smell great on a man. The musk base is lovely! Definitely a unisex scent!

I don't like white florals, but I was swayed by all the reviews calling this predominantly green, and got myself a sample. Maybe I'm just too used to the overwhelming greenery of fragrances like Green Spell, but I mainly just got hyacinth and lily from this. It's a nice, clean, palatable take for a lily-hater like me, but still very much not a green-forward scent imho. As I wear it more it feels cold, almost icy. It makes me picture an aloof, elegant woman in a crisp white suit and low chignon hairstyle. If you love white florals and want a light, non-sweet take on them for spring, this is perfect for you. If you're a green-scent lover looking for something a little different, maybe pass on this.

A lot less green than I was hoping and expecting. Right after application I can smell some greenness along with freesia and hyacinth if I put my nose right up to my wrist. Even smelling it at such close quarters, the greenness and hyacinth disappear within a few short minutes. What's left and what projects within just an arm-span is a very fluffy white musk and freesia. It smells like fabric softener or dryer sheets, but in a fuzzy, blurry kind of way. I'm honestly not moved by this. I love green scents, but that's not what this ends up being at all. It loses all the notes I was looking for in under five minutes and what's left is pretty boring and synthetic and smells like a laundry room. 3/10.

a light floral scent with refreshing green leafiness and a hint of soft, clean musk. it's pleasant, freesia forward but not overly sweet, feels very vernal. i don't really get much of the jasmine on myself, and the woodiness is also difficult to detect, making this smell a little too simple and straightforward for my taste. if you like a delicate floral, this is a nice option (although i don't actually know if this scent has been discontinued?) reminds me of something my mother either actually wore when i was a child or that she would certainly like

Bought this at Ross at a very good price ($23!) it's a decent, light, green and white floral scent. Definitely, leans feminine with poor silage and longevity. It reminds me of Lazy Sunday minus the lipstick scent. I would not pay full retail price for this because of the poor performance. Its light enough that it can worn at work, gym, even for bedtime.

Greenish white floral. Disappointingly a lot prissier than what I would expect from this brand given how lush and spicy their scent Cannabis is. They could have taken this a lot more earthy and green.

Surprisingly unlikable. For one, I can detect few flowers. This is all ambroxan — this scent screams synthetic and smells like a dryer sheet.

This smells like the shire from lord of the rings. If you type "the shire music & ambiance" on YouTube, you will get a sense of what it feels like to sniff this hidden gem. It smells like innocence and pure bliss. If heaven had a smell this is what it'd be. This is nothing short of a masterpiece. The only fragrance I can compare this to is ck one- but stem is more modern, more mature, higher quality and more natural smelling. Ck one is the most sold unisex fragrance of ALL TIME. And in my opinion this is a more timeless and niche take on that ck one DNA

This is probably the best for the bunch from Malin&Goetz that I've tried. "The best" as in it doesn't turn weird or flat after a short time, like most of their other scents. This is fresh, dewy hyacinth and grass. Greens are not taking over, the florals are very clean, natural and innocent. Nothing too interesting or memorable, just fresh, out of the shower floral that could be a dumb reach for summer days. Projection and lasting power seem low so it is very unobtrusive.

I seem to have a thing for the synthetic ambroxan (I mean, seriously, JHAG Not A Perfume, which I love, is practically pure ambroxan and cetalox). Unlike some other synthetics, if I get a good quality ambroxan, I don't get horrid headache. This has the freshness of green plant (of the kind I can wear, since it doesn't turn algae on me), clean, almost sharp white florals, and woodiness. It's nothing spectacular, and it wears almost like a skinscent, but I rather like it.

It’s not like White Suede, which is more of a creamy powdery musk and has a cigarette nuance. Nor is it like Blanche which is also powdery and a bit floral. Smells kinda retro to me. Not like Lazy Sunday Morning, which dries down to a bit of a soapy powdery floral rose scent. Not at all like wood sage and sea salt, that one is more aromatic and sweet. Completely different scent profiles. Stem is not powdery at all.

wow. people describe this as photorealistic and synthetic, based on who you ask. i get a sort of synthetic freshly cut flowers in a vase of water (perhaps a soapy fresh?) what really wows me about this is the memory it evokes... it reminds me of being a kid, reading chic adult womens fashion magazines, how the pages would always be glossy and perfumed..... the smell of those pages. right here. love.

I immediately had a vision of myself sitting on my best girlfriend's bed reading YM magazine in the '90s. It's classic and bright, reminds me of the beginning of every teen movie or tv show as we enter the school and see fresh-cut grass, hot pavement, water fountains, and clean hallways. Sunshine, clarity, aspiration and hope...I feel like I have a fresh haircut and feel cool and confident.

This is a lovely floral fragrance. I get freesia and jasmine mostly but it is more airy than cloying or overpowering. The freesia reminds me of how we all got tired of every fragrance having freesia in it in the late nineties but now it is refreshing to smell again. I get very little green or woods and this is very female leaning, perfect for office, church, or the like.

I am a florist and this is my favourite thing to wear to a wedding setup. It is so fresh and clean and springy. It really does smell like the damp cut stems and squished blooms on my studio floor, in all the best ways.

The smell of a hyacinth bouquet with freshly cut stems. Cold dewy terrain and damp wood. It smells so wet and green and innocent. This is the most "floral" musky skin scent Ive ever come across. It's stunning.

I have been wanting to try stem, I like green, like fresh cut grass, tomato vine, lily of the valley, but any powdery and musky smell makes me run the other way. Would stem have those two deal breakers?

Imo a ripoff of China Rain, which is cheaper and a better performer. This is a bit greener though. And throw in a dash of 724 from MFK. Compared to Lovely, it is less musky and more watery.

This might be my favourite out of the Malin + Goetz fragrances. It's fresh and clean. Initially it smells green, soapy and the alcohol smell is strong. Lily of the valley then takes over.

This smells a lot like Replica's lazy sunday morning, which I like. I like this one even more. For me it's a little more floral and a little less clean linen.

Quite a nice fragrance that stays close to the skin. A little bit too floral for me, but it's a a real floral.

A nice floral perfume that reminds me of laying on a blanket in a field of tall grass and pretty flowers.
