Dsire

I’ve been wearing Dsire for a few weeks now, and I still find it hard to put into words because it doesn’t just smell like a perfume, it feels like a memory. The kind that floats back to you out of nowhere: the smell of salt and flowers carried by wind. At first spray, it’s airy and bright, almost like standing near the ocean, with this breeze of grapefruit and jasmine that lifts you up. But what makes Dsire special for me is what happens after: the scent doesn’t fade, it softens. The tuberose and frangipani bloom like skin-warmed petals, and there’s this quiet pull from the vetiver and vanilla that feels grounding, even intimate. It’s nostalgic, but not sad. There’s something truly Haitian about it, sun-drenched, emotional, textured. It reminds me of being close to the earth and dreaming at the same time. I’ve worn many fragrances, but this one actually stays with me, not just on my clothes but in the way I move through the day.

Despite not being a big fan of marine scents, I love this one. It’s only slightly marine. Mostly it just smells like a lovely high quality lotion to me, very easy to wear and comforting. I reached for it quite a bit this summer. Dsire smells very creamy and smooth with ylang ylang, vanilla, florals and musk with a marine sea breeze touch. I’m also a sucker for a unique bottle and this one is really cool, like little piece of art.
