Cocktail Splash Curacao

First sniff: Smells like someone spilled a tropical drink on me, but in a REALLY good way. As in, want to lick my own wrists. But I won't. But I will probably need to make myself a tropical drink now... Middle: Still tropical but getting softer and sexier, violet notes coming out to play. Hours later: RAWRRRR! Damn I smell sexy!!! Awesome spring/summer smell. Delicious from start to finish.

one of the very few scents i have in my collection that is unisex. this smells sooo fresh and clean and sometimes i just want a neutral scent that isnt too feminine, but i also dont wana smell like a man. just wana smell fresh and clean. i love this scent

It's been a long time since I had a Curaçao cocktail, so I can't say whether Marc Jacob's perfume interpretation smells anything like the real thing, but I'll buy it! Especially in the opening, it does smell like a delicious summer cocktail, with bright citrus on top and something sweeter underneath. Lovely and refreshing, good enough to eat, and perfectly matched to this particularly hot day in May. There's a couple of buts, though. First of all, being a splash, this can only really be enjoyed to the fullest if you're able to reapply frequently and lavishly. And more importantly, it seems to be discontinued now, and only available at prices that would make every one of those frequent reapplications hurt in my wallet... So I'll just enjoy what's left of my little decant (which at this rate means just a couple days' more wear), and then say goodbye. I like Curacao a lot, but Limon Verde remains my favourite summer cocktail in a bottle, and that's just as well given its better availability, longevity and price/quality ratio.

I find Curacao a very nice fragrance, suitable for every day and every occasion. Nothing special or unique, but nice and pleasant. The opening is fresh and energising, lime is very present. The scent gets sweeter and softer very quick and stays rather linear from that moment on. Soft/lightly flowery, sweet-fruity and somewhat musky. I like it! You can spray almost without limits since this fragrance is very hard to overdose. The lastingpower is average and the scent stays very close to the skin.

I am a fan of MJ Splashes, as of yet I have failed to meet one that I did not enjoy in one way or another. That said, although this is a fun and lighthearted scent it doesn’t really evolve past that for me. It is not a long lasting scent but the blast it provides upon spritzing certainly is invigorating. It wakes up my senses and makes me yearn for lying by the pool, it is pure summer. Wouldn’t buy again but I am going to enjoy every last spray of the HUGE bottle.
