Daisy

I won't trust anyone who says they're too mature for Daisy, in the same way I won't trust anyone who claims Chanel No. 5 or L'Air de Rien is for old ladies. Things are classics for a reason. The worst part is I don't think it's even a little bit true. I'm sorry gourmand lovers but when I think "immature scent profile," I'm thinking of the Pink Sugars, Her Elixers, and Fantasies of the world: not the musky, stemmy, powder-floral genius that is Daisy. I did not grow up being "into" perfume in any capacity and therefore did not suffer the overexposure fatigue that I'm sure many of the Daisy naysayers experienced in the late 00's. What *I'm* surprised about here is the green-accord erasure. This is violet and gardenia but also violet and gardenia STEMS. Jasmine STEM, strawberry STEM! This is a total flowerbomb (as the name would indicate) in a way that, to me, does not at all conjure memories of cheap hotel soaps and shampoos as I've seen other reviews suggest. But such is the beauty of fragrance and skin chemistry. None of what I love about Daisy fragrance is clear on paper. Impressive longevity, too!

Daisy is my signature for spring and summer. It is a very airy, delicate and clean gardenia and violet fragrance that smells very feminine, innocent, fresh and joyful. It smells very solar, bright and uplifting and really makes me happy. Picture laying in a meadow full of white flowers and daisy flowers on a warm spring day with the sun beaming down. Even though there are no daisy’s in here I really get that daisy feel. Like a solar sunny daisy flower with a bright ripe pollen centre. I also get a fresh delicate shampooey scent which smells very clean and airy. The violet in here is amazing, I think it is what is giving it those fresh shampoo vibes. This scent really does something to my mood. It is one of those scents that makes me feel really happy and one with nature and the elements. It is simple, light and fresh but also very interesting and masterfully blended. This is the ultimate innocent and kind girl fragrance but also has a sexiness to it from those shampoo vibes and jasmine. A very coquette fragrance.

No tengo idea de por qué las malas críticas de las personas hacia este perfume. Recién hoy se lo regale a mi novia y quedó fascinada, al igual que yo con el aroma. Es simplemente como vi en una reseña, a lo que huele la primavera. Un aroma chispeantes, fresco, floral blanco y suave y relajante en el fondo con una pequeña aura avainillada. Simplemente nos encantó a ella y a mi. La entrada es una delicia con esa chispeante toronja predominante pero también fresa que se percibe tenuenente. Posteriormente llega el floral blanco donde se siente la violeta y el fresco jazmín, acompañado de la gardenia que la da una ligera sensación atalcada, que a mí gusto no es nada de que preocuparse y cierra con un aura relajante, inofensivo y avainillado que concreta muy bien el perfume Eso sí su duración y estela no son las mejores, pero sin duda, si quieres regalarle a una mujer un aroma de todos los días que le guste a todo y sobretodo a las mujeres que buscan florales blancos. Está es la opción más segura.

someone said this smells the way the spring 2026 cherry sakura redbull tastes, and as someone obsessed with both — yes. spot on. that being said, it smells like neither cherry or sakura. it has a distinct clean, powdery, slightly musky, almost banana-y, honeyed sweetness that is so lovely and inoffensive. it's floral, yet these notes are light enough that you wouldn't be able to pick out any flower in specific. the strawberry note is less freshly-picked and more reminiscent of sugared or syrupy strawberries. an innocent, dainty, playful, feminine scent. quintessentially ingenue. this was my first ever perfume back in the day, and im so glad to see it still comes in the adorable little bottle. daisy really is a modern classic, and im tired of people pretending to be too cool for it! it truly is the essence of daisy buchanan distilled into a fragrance. the world needs more critics who can appreciate softer scents, because, despite being inoffensive, daisy is not boring in the least.

It's a perfume I classify under "aura" scents rather than skin scents. By this I mean, it's a perfume that makes no big impression on others ,but generally make the area around you seem more pleasant by proxy. It's a perfume to wear for you and only you when you want to feel nice, but don't want to shout about it. It's the scent version of washing your face and brushing your hair to start or end the day to feel a little better about what's to come or make it easier to rest. It's like a soft spoken, kind person who offers you a cup of tea and asks you how you're feeling with genuine sincerity. I would also say this is deceptively unisex, It smells like a good shower with a good bodywash that leaves me smooth and silky instead of aggressively tangy aha. I got this quite cheaply and I don't think I'd buy myself a big bottle unless I got a great deal again (it came in a £85 lot with some other scents on ebay), but it's a pleasant smell for situations where strong smells aren't right.

In the best way it smells like strawberry laces, with a faint powderiness coming from the violet, and of course the juicy aquatic burst from the grapefruit note. Truly a classic, and it’s addicting. This is one of those everyday perfumes that you can wear when you just want to smell effortlessly pretty and like you’ve just had a shower. In my opinion this perfume is best suited for daytime events, such as getting coffee or going for brunch. Definitely more of a summer/spring perfume but it’s so fresh and clean smelling that you can honestly wear it during the winter if you ever need a break from those headache inducing gourmands lol Surprisingly it’s long lasting, and it’s not too expensive. Obviously depending on where you buy it, some places put it on offer so you can get it really cheap I just don’t see how anyone can hate this. Scent is subjective obviously but I think hating this is a bit harsh for a perfume that’s so effortlessly pretty and fresh. Totally inoffensive

I have PTSD (and work in a high stress job), which means I'm in a constant state of high anxiety; I often deal with night terrors and some major depression as well. I've learned to use aromatherapy/perfume to keep me calm... and I'll review those also, but Daisy is unique among them. It smells like dandelion butter on a warm day and evokes strong sense of peace. When I wear it, I don't just calm down, but my mood lifts considerably. It's expensive, so I try to save it for my depressed days. It calms my racing mind when I need to sleep also. It lasts for hours on me so it is more than worth it. -I also do reviews for perfumes safe for migraines, and it has neither set one off nor aggravated a headache when I had one.

I was super excited to get this as a gift, and it of course lived up to my expectations (as Marc Jacobs usually does for me.) I usually avoid any and all musk notes (even from initial sprays,) but this has a perfect amount imo! Very green and natural at first. Very very floral, like genuinely laying in a field of grass and wildflowers. Settles into a gentle, fresh, and sweet/powdery scent. Simple and cute. My mom wore this when I was a little girl, and it reminds me of playing in the yard with her in the summer. Not as good as Eau so Fresh is to me, but still a lovely fragrance that I am so happy to have. :) yay!

My all time favorite. I remember seeing the advertising in my mom's fashion magazines when I was a teen: young girls in white cotton dresses running on the grass. It smells exactly like the picture: fresh, cheerful, worry-free. I liked it when I was a teen (but couldn't afford it) and now I'm in my 30s and I still love it. I can wear it for almost everything and in all seasons, and I especially like to wear it in grey winter days for a cheerfulness boost. The white flowers and woody notes in the dry down add some elegancy and make the scent suitable for a wide range of age and occasion. I will keep buying this.

An all time favorite. The white florals are enveloped in a fresh bubble. The fruits add freshness to the perfume. I think it is an easy reach. Suitable everywhere; but wouldn't stand out too much. Lenas more feminine. Maybe it wouldn't suit very cold winters, other than that, I think it is appropriate for every season. It lasts a long time on clothes; but fades away after 4-5 hours on the skin. Max 5 hours but after 3 hours it becomes so subtle on the skin. You have to spray your clothes atleast 5 times to make it last all day. This is the only complain wuth this fragrance. I think it is a 7/10. Lovely & fresh.

such a princess-y, delicate, upbeat spring smell. makes you feel like you're rapunzel from tangled, running in the woods and smelling flowers; carefree, full of life, positive, sweet and delicate. 'daisy' is not a boring generic smell but it isn't controversial either; it's a fresh, unique crowd-pleaser. i don't like flower-y smells because they can be overwhelming but this perfume is not one of them. i wish i went to coachella during early 2010's lacy-bohemian era wearing this. maybe this is what troy bolton smelt like when he was singing bet on it? who knows

My sister-in-law was wearing this scent years ago and she smelled so good, I had to know what she was wearing. It was this and I immediately bought a bottle. It has been not only my signature perfume, but pretty much all I have worn for the past 10 years. Those years were spent raising my babies and I hope this smell will always remind them of mom and good times. The floral dries down beautifully and lasts all day. I don’t read this as a green scent as many have said. This will always be a love of mine and I’ll always have a bottle on hand.

A nostalgic buy for me. I gifted a mini size to my best friend in high school so this smells like 2015 to me. Inoffensive floral, you almost can't go wrong. Popular because it's pretty universally tolerable. If I had to gift a perfume to a teen/early twenties aged girl without knowing her taste, this is the one I would choose. I have the EDT and I find it to be strong enough for my taste. I typically like a very subtle fragrance though so I probably shouldn't speak to the strength or longevity.

This has gone right into my spring-summer office perfume tray. It's the best bridge between floral, fruity and green scents out there. Completely inoffensive and fresh. Also,it's starting to smell a little unisex compared to a lot of more modern women's scents being such sugarbombs so I feel zero worries about wearing this. A big shame about the lasting power (I might not get another bottle when it goes unless the offer is amazing), but I don't mind carrying it around. Like has become love.

Oh, Daisy. My first fancy perfume. I can't remember the last time I wore this, but my grubby bottle from 2009 is one of my prized possessions. It will remain on my dresser forever and ever. Daisy brings me back to high school, to smelling it on all the girls I was intimidated by because I thought they were so much cooler than me. Daisy smelled so sophisticated to me back then. I had graduated from Britney Spears Fantasy and smelled like a College Girl who was mysterious and sophisticated.

I first had this as a teenager and loved it in it's simplicity, but then moved away from it for other flackers and perfumes. Now that I'm older, in a professional environment and sometimes dealing with extended summers, I want it back. I have a tiny dropper bottle that I am excited to test out again once it warms up near me, but will likely buy at least a travel size soon. The only thing I'm unsure about is the longevity. If it lasts a decent amount of time, I might go for a big bottle.

Daisy, I will always love you! This was one of my first "real" perfumes, I was 15 or 16 when I got it. I wore it everyday for years, and when I smell it now it transports me back in time. I want to buy this again, I think it's a perfect fresh scent for the spring and summer for girls and women of all ages. I still have some other perfumes from that time in my life and I'd wear none of them today (looking at you, Escada Rockin' Rio!). Daisy is different though, she's a timeless classic.

This perfume! I may be a bit biased since this was my first fragrance but it truly is so light airy and fresh. Literally feels like walking in a field of sunflowers and laying in the grass while breathing in fresh air. Perfect scent for summer and spring and it’s just such a great perfume. I did hear someone say that it smells like Bannana peels and now I can’t unsee that. it smells like Bannana peels in the best way possible <3

People need to stop saying this is for young women and/or teenagers because I'm nearly 50 and I wear this and people LOVE it on me. This fragrance is gorgeous and makes me think of summer fields under dreamy blue skies. A powdery floral that is sweet, soft, feminine, romantic and playful. Daisy can be worn all year round day or night. It lasts forever on me. I'm lucky enough to own the anniversary edition with the sparkly cap.

Violet Leaf is my favorite note in perfume because it is very clear and relax. Besides, I smell the sweet scent of Strawberries and the very pleasant fresh scent of Wildflowers wafting on my skin. Marc Jacobs Daisy is a great fragrance for girls who love Flowers, like you are lying on a grass hill with countless Wildflowers around, peaceful and beautiful. Rating: 9/10, love Flowers must try

I love this perfume. I’ve repurchased it many times over the years — I still really enjoy it after all this time. It brings me back to summer in my hometown and the scent of my parents’ garden, full of blooming flowers. It’s young and pretty, instantly uplifting my mood. Light and easy to wear anytime, it feels effortlessly fresh. For me, it’s nostalgic and bubbly in the best way.

First fragrance I ever bought myself and got me into perfume. Wanted it years ago since it has my name on it but also multiple times I stopped someone and asked their fragrance it was this so it was a semi-blind buy? Just a really nice balanced scent, light and feminine. It doesn’t last long which is annoying for the price but light enough to re-spray liberally.

A somewhat simple, but nonetheless lovely aquatic grassy floral. There is a calm, meditative quality about it. Fresh and green, but not a "freshie". The heart is a delicate bouquet of jasmine and gardenia. It doesn't scream "white floral", instead, it provides a soft, petal-like texture that lingers over a clean base of woods and musk. Pretty and very wearable.

Such a beautiful fragrance. I am a big fan of Marc Jacobs fragrances, and I feel like you can never go wrong with Daisy. Fresh, feminine, and comforting. This smells like you’re standing in a flower field on a breezy warm sunny day. It is perfect for everyday wear and it’s very inoffensive. There is a reason why this fragrance has been around for so long!

i love daisy. the first real perfume i've ever gotten. she reminds me of a bright spring day that you spend frolicing and baking and doing other springtime activities.... and then at the end of the day you're so tired that the minute you hit the pillow you're asleep. who cares about longevity or projection or sillage. pure nostalgia and girlhood.

one of the first perfumes I ever bought, still an all time favorite. i feel like this is what a young and/or blonde jessica day would smell like. inoffensive, smells ‘happy’. i know many find it to be generic, linear, and forgettable, but i can never get tired of smelling this it is soooo good and instantly cheers me up. so beautiful.

Definitetely a timeless scent! This is and always be my scent, I love it since the first day I smelled it at Macy's in 2008. This is a perfume that always gets me compliments. I know some people don't like it but probably cause they are more of the sweet vanilla scents and this is flowery, crispy and fresh! My fav forever

This perfume lasts barely five minutes on me. However, I absolutely love the scent! It's such an inoffensive, fresh, clean floral. I can't imagine anyone hating it. Because of the poor longevity, I mostly just use it when I'm running quick errands. If anyone has a longer-lasting dupe of Daisy, let me know :)

Transports me to a grade school recess spent sitting in a grassy field and making daisy chains with my friends. Unlike some other floral scents, where the floral notes may be challenging to identify, the realistic daisy note in this is unmistakable. This one is a crowd pleaser that always gets compliments.

This perfume is so fresh, floral, feminine and beautiful! This smells like springtime for sure! You have to be a perfume snob not to like this perfume! I wouldn't mind if everyone wore this scent in the springtime! This perfume is so beautiful that they made flankers with the same DNA! 10/10

crushed stems and leaves, then an airy, fruity floral. reminds me of the powder on the inside of a smarties wrapper and my first time being in love I was gonna say it's starting to smell a little skunky i don't remember that!! but there was actually just a skunk outside my window lol

I was gifted this right after high school graduation and I loved it. I wore it every single day and it made me feel so feminine (I was a tom boy for years haha). This will always be a nostalgic scent to me and remind me of a simpler time.

I adore this perfume, it’s so beautiful and playful. I’m on my third bottle of it and I think I’ll always have one in my collection. I just wish it lasted longer or there was a more affordable dupe for it

Love this fragrance. The opening is floral and nothing remarkable. However, the dry down is where this perfume shines. It becomes more fruity and almost aquatic somehow. It's divine.

I wore this back in college and I still keep coming back to it. It’s an inoffensive floral with a freshness to it that I just love. It’s one I feel like I can wear almost anywhere.

Daisy is a modern classic, and I’m tired of the slander. If you are a niche perfume collector who likes smelling like cigarettes, blood, animal musk, oud wood, and lipstick (which is extremely sexy and chic of you, btw, I am not being a hater) of COURSE you’re not going to like a fresh, soft floral scent. Have you ever thought to consider that not everything is for you? You already know what you like and how to get it and you already know the culture and language of fragrance. I know you know that you are not the target and intended audience. I know you are hanging on to the last legs of your high school “I’m not like other girls” complex. (Which of course is really funny to me, because REAL manic pixie dream girls who listen to The Smiths, chain smoke regularly, and always seem to have perfect bangs aren’t wearing niche fragrance tiktok finds, they’re wearing an ancient bottle of Chanel no5 or Angel that used to be their mom’s, Love’s Baby Soft from Walgreens, or a Daisy flanker they got for their birthday. They only even know of Little Flower because of reigning It Girl, Chloe Sevigny. They don’t think about fragrance all day, they have basement shows to go to, vintage stores to loiter at, and they literally always have adoring art bro/Patrick Bateman boyfriends to attend to.) One thing I would like to push back on is the idea that “young girl” or “young woman” is the worst thing a person can be like. We’ve already established that “grandma” or “old lady” is a crappy, unintelligent, and misogynistic way to critique a fragrance, so can we have some of that energy for the other extreme? I also dislike the idea that fruity-florals are inherently artless compared to woodier-muskier-stankier-skankier offerings. The line of thinking is odd to me. Why do you look at notes on paper and decide for yourself that not a lot of effort or care was put into a scent based off of those alone, but not the composition or the story being told through the fragrance? Do you think the “effort” put into creating a fragrance is only evident in the list of notes? This perfume was designed in the form and likeness of Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, and if you’ve read the book, it captures her essence perfectly. People have different essences from one another. I’m a doe-eyed blonde water sign who cries every time she watches The Last Unicorn, I can’t pull off your edgy cool girl offerings. I can’t spritz Jasmin et Cigarette (which, side note, I DO love that scent!) all over myself and head to my babysitting job. And I do think Daisy is good. I do think it has earned its place in perfume history. I don’t think Marc Jacobs just slapped together a fruity body splash and a handful of floral notes like some of these reviews would have you believe. The use of violet in *mainstream* perfumery had been fairly sparse prior to this lovely little thing dancing into the scene. It was seen as “stuffy” and “too powdery” associated with “old” in a Victorian way. Napoleon’s Josephine famously wore violet scents. It was also viewed as a difficult to work with note, with many perfumers trying and failing to integrate it into their scents. Daisy revived the violet, made her young and fresh and let her out into the world with a white sundress, a string of pearls, and a Mia Farrow pixie cut. I’m riding with her for life.

On the surface it may seem basic, as many others have stated. And perhaps I've even stated it myself. But as I thought, once the juice darkens with age, it becomes better. I was gifted this perfume, which I found amusing, because it used to be my older sister's signature when we were younger. Her room always smelled of Daisy, which I thought smelled incredible. When I received this as a gift, I was a little disappointed that the scent wasn't as good as I remembered. There was no nuance, it was just screechy white florals and freshly cut grass. Not a bad scent by any means, but not what I remembered, and while it was light, I found it cloying. I detected no violet, nor any strawberry. But I held onto it with the hope that as it aged, it would get better. 8 months later, today is finally that day. I sprayed it on this morning in a rush. No particular reason, I just needed something light and inoffensive for a dental appointment. I assumed it would have disappated by the time I arrived for my appointment. To my surprise, the juice was stronger and more complex than I remembered, with a very distinct strawberry note, and even some powderiness from the violet which I never detected before. Comparing the juice in my 100ml bottle vs. my travel spray, I see the juice in my bottle has darkened a lot. Of course it is no complex masterpiece of perfumery, but it's extremely pleasant once it ages, and there is something special about this perfume that makes other people treat me differently. I don't know whether it changes how I feel and thus how I present outwardly to others, or it simply influences how other people perceive me. But when I wear this, people are extremely kind and friendly towards me. This never happens to me otherwise. But if there was ever a perfume to do it, I can see why it's Daisy. You can call it boring or say it has no personality but I disagree... Daisy has a very distinct personality. It's bubbly, happy, sweet, pretty and carefree. It's "lucky girl syndrome" in a bottle. "Everything's coming up daisies", so to speak. Not my favourite perfume, but if there were ever a travel spray to have in your arsenal for social situations, this would be the one. I also want to note that despite its age, Daisy does not smell dated whatsoever, and I think it's still relevant today. A modern classic.

I don't tend to buy 'famous designer' branded perfume and I also rarely go into a department store and buy a perfume that I have just tried on! For me it is mostly going off reviews and blind buys. My favourite fragrances are usually old classics or 'drugstore steals' (in that they are usually ridiculously inexpensive). So Daisy for me is that rare moment where I would wander into a department store and buy a newly released famous perfume after trying it on my wrist. This review is from memory as I don't currently own it...but for me it represents 'the first slightly grown up perfume' that a girl or young woman may buy or have it gifted to her. It has an understated beauty and elegance whilst still retaining a youthful innocence and carefree-ness. Another perfume that conjures the same experience for me is Ralph Lauren's Romance. You know that lovely sweet smell of perfume samples actually part of the page of fashion magazines? That's what Daisy smells like. For me, it captures the joy of buying perfume when you are first starting to get more and more serious in your interest of it. Also for me it has a very particular lovely memory attached to it (as all good perfumes do).. I used to play in a band in London and I wore this for a gig we played in Kilburn. It was a scorching hot and dusty summers day and I had spent hours commuting in a white patterned billowing dress from the Gap. My hair was pinned up in plaits and I was ordering an early dinner from the 'Small and Beautiful' restaurant with the rest of the band. The Bassist's wife commented how hot and sticky she felt and saw me as looking cleanly pretty and elegant. She almost said that I looked and smelled as 'fresh as a Daisy'. It's what perfume and a beautiful new dress can do for a woman. Make you feel effortlessly cool and well put together.

This is nice, but very light. As for the scent, it's an initial burst of greenness, like freshly cut grass, with some white florals in the background. It quickly becomes creamy and sweet, with a banana accord. But because it's light and watery, the sweetness is never overpowering or too cloying. Once it hits the drydown, I get the strawberry note. Overall, this is lovely. It's even better when layered with the matching lotion. This is a simple, carefree and happy scent that could really suit anyone. I see some comparisons to Chanel Chance and Mojave Ghost, and I can see aspects of those scents in here, but this is definitely not a dupe for either. There are some similarities with the opening of Chanel Chance, but Daisy is more green, and then dries down much sweeter. It is also somewhat similar to Mojave Ghost, but that one is much drier and more powdery, whereas Daisy is a very watery scent. And once again, Daisy is greener and sweeter. Daisy is a simple easy reach, especially in spring and summer. It's generally light and inoffensive, but if you don't like green notes or white florals, I can see it potentially being a little headache inducing, especially if you overspray. I got it as a gift and I probably wouldn't buy it for myself because I have Chanel Chance (my signature) and I prefer that, but this is a pleasant scent with a beautiful bottle, and I will use it up for sure. I'm not sure if Marc Jacobs makes a Daisy hair mist, but if not they really should, because I think this scent would work really well in hair mist form. Other than that, there's not much to say because it's such a simple scent. I would give it 4/5 in terms of the actual scent, and 2/5 for performance.

Daisy has been on my collection for a while now, I rarely reach out for her, she is very much on that group of japanese-oriented fruity/transparent florals (chance line, miss Dior freshie flankers, many transparent illusion kenzos, issey miyakes, byredos, creeds) I never paid much attention to It, however as It ages I find It gets slightly sweeter (finally lmao). Initially this is not a frag I recall, as I usually layer It with other EDTs. Let's say that I have a 20ml bottle I barely made a dent in, I don't want to part ways with It because the funny lil' ripe-banana opening of the violet leaf brings me a cute memory of my grandma buying me a 0,50 cent perfume vial at a train station after I had a fit in front of the vending machine in the bathroom haha! The vending machine carried designer perfumes, I think the year must have been well within 1997-2000 so my pick was definitely not Daisy but they smelled similar. Every time I spray Daisy I can see myself repeating that scene in front of the vending machine. I miss my grandma 💖 keeping this one for the memory It evokes ❤️🩹 eta: forgot to add my akshul review ha! On my PH Daisy is mostly Violet, a very faint grapefruit that reinforces the cedar in the heart, lots of musk, gardenia and a slight faint strawberry scent. Basically a wearable version of Chance Tendre (quince turns to metal on my skin and It ruins the experience, it's so unfortunate) On some ppl with the right chem this one is Violets and sweet Strawberries, wished that happened for me! Whenever I find someone wearing this with the right chem I just have to compliment them ✨
