Velocity Man

There is a powdery note here along with that water/oceanic smell and the tomato leaf (however slight) in the beginning that does occasionally show up later also. The home run is the woody spiciness in the mid/dry phase. The coriander is the key to the spicy note as it lingers throughout as the woods kick in. It goes a little beyond the smell of a sharpened pencil but not to the point of smelling green like freshly cut trees and not mossy like being in the woods either. It's just an interesting woody smell overall. It is almost like you catch all types of tree life cycles in a balanced combination. Alive in a forest, cut freshly, and dry cuttings too. I do think people smell the spicy note more if in closer proximity. If you want a Spring/Summer woodsy scent I'd recommend this for sure. There are people that still have this for sale, on Ebay, which is interesting when you think about it. I have also layered it once recently with YSL Y EDP and it was a great combo. Almost taming some of that overly Y EDP sweetness and adding the spicy woods. Since my bottle is older I know it's probably a bit stronger than a fresh bottle and that is another reason why I want to get another. I would say it is worth the current below $50 prices, especially for it being discontinued. I am not aware of any other colognes that fit this profile but surely there are some out there...I just realize they too may be from the previous era and not common to what is popular today. I still have a bottle from around 2008-ish, was gifted to me by an older woman while I was in college. It is almost done (about 1/3 left, so I'll be hunting for another soon). I am a guy that often will use colognes I like until they're almost done and then sit on that last bit for special occasions/switch ups on women around me. I started going back to the gym and wore this before going. I was not only told I smelled good by someone as I walked in. I also got a compliment while on the bike during warm-up. I think the part of it has to do with my current bottle being older so it might project more but it still smells the same to me. I only sprayed it twice, and it's still February but it is an active type of scent in my opinion.

this was so good to me, i wore it during highschool... Clean, fresh, spicy... i miss it! i wish i could buy a few bottles. Sadly its discontinued

A light, fresh, bright, and uplifting cologne. Definitely a daytime scent and a pretty good one at that too. The start is fresh and slightly drugstore-generic, and the tomato leaf doesn't smell as distinctive as compared to say Trussardi L'uomo. The lovely delicate woody drydown is the best part IMO and lasts well even if it's a little too light for my taste. Probably best suits sunny weather (both warm and cool), and would work for all ages and most occasions (office, casual, sports, etc.) - although it's perhaps a little too indistinctive for dates. Nonetheless, this is another impressive MK fragrance that gets my recommendation.

This isn't a bad scent for someone in their 20's to early 30's, definitely masculine, very fresh, simple and clean scent. Nothing particularly noteworthy, but the longevity is good. It's a bit synthetic smelling, but otherwise a decent gift scent for men.

An appley, fresh scent somewhere between Adidas Moves and Eternity, slightly too sweet. The drydown becomes less sweet and switches fruits to become more raspberryish like 212. Perfectly average and standard.

This is not a bad fragrance for the price. It's fresh, clean, and sporty and a good choice for spring or summer. I agree that it's a better frag for younger guys, but I still like it and wear it occasionally.

I would never have bought Velocity if Luca Turin hadn't mentioned its interesting top notes of tomato leaf and mandarin. How couldn't you want to smell a combo like that? Definitely compelling--it falls squarely into the sporty category (not my favorite by a long shot), but it's tenacious, fresh, and just smells damn good!

I have a friend who works for mary kay and they got me all the cologne for the mary kay collection and although I would never wear any of them I would recommend this one the most.

Agree with Blondo. Light casual cologne perfect for college kids. The smell and notes are very similar to Abercrombie&Fitch's FIERCE.
