Corfu

The longest note list does not imply this fragrance smells messy. In fact, this fruity chypre has clear protagonists and supporting roles, which leads to a perfectly balanced scent story. Rhubarb is prominent in the opening and then blends into a lily-of-the-valley heart. It smells so dreamy as if you are sleeping on a giant pillow filled with dewy petals. The fruity part is more like a smoothie, a mixture of blackcurrant, peach, raspberry, and ice cubes. It is refreshing and sour-sweet, but not done in a traditional citrusy way. My cat abhors citrus but he unexpectedly sniffed me for quite a while. On top of the scent itself, I also attribute the niche quality to the naming. There is enough cliché about aquatic, ozonic fragrances named after a holiday paradise near the seashore. Corfu went on a different trajectory. 5 letters did a smarter job by luring you to imagine sipping a fruit smoothie on a sunny terrace in Greece. Projection is subtle. Longevity is about 4 hours. The musky base is more for anchoring the volatile fruity floral notes, not a long-lasting type of musk. If you are an Inlé girl, you probably would adore Corfu. There's a specific delicate fruity-floral note in both perfumes that reminds me of my mom. I cannot pinpoint what exactly it is and mentioning personal memory in a fragrance review is meaningless, but don't you agree that childhood memory may trigger you to pay an exorbitant price for a fragrance (and the beautiful packaging, of course)?

I’ve been eyeing this one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. First impression? Total shock. For the first few minutes, you’re hit with this brutally green rhubarb and tartness—it’s almost aggressive. But if you give up on it right away, you have no idea what you're missing. After about 15 minutes, the scent literally "melts" into your skin and becomes incredibly elegant and clean. It’s not that cheap kind of clean; it’s that "old money" vibe—like you just showered in a five-star hotel after a long day in the sun. It has this blend of salt, fresh florals, and musk that follows you for hours. The best part? I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. If you’re looking for something that isn't just a basic "summer water" but a perfume with a real story, Memo Corfu is the ultimate winner. It’s pricey, but worth every cent because you won't smell like anyone else in the room.8/10

All I get in the opening is lime and lemongrass (not listed). I think this is the combination of lemon, grapefruit, bergamot and basil. This intense citrus lime opening the first seconds reminds me of Creed Virgin Island Water. After a few minutes there are some fruity notes, most prominent for me is the peach. It’s a pleasant wear, citrus-aromatic with fresh rose, green lilly of the valley and a hint of white florals from jasmin. The base is smooth from sandalwood and cashmere. Fluffy musk, elegant cedar and moss are recognizable. Tonka and amber bring the right amount of sweetness. Corfu is refreshing but not aquatic and totally unisex, right in the middle. Easy Reach, office safe, for gym, refreshing, after shower or as morning fragrance. Summer appropriated daytime perfume.

This has one of the most unusual developments of any fragrance I've ever tried. The rose and the rhubarb notes, which dominate, start out as separate, but then somehow they seem to blend together beautifully as time goes on (and the lily of the valley note comes out, too). Such a pretty fragrance! I have no idea whether this really has much to do with the actual island of Corfu, and it doesn't necessarily smell very Mediterranean to me; but it is such a beautiful scent nonetheless! Highly recommend this for those who can afford it.

I picked this up with several other testers during a LuckyScent binge. I put it in my 'maybe' pile but that was after almost getting drunk with too many testers at once. Yesterday I tried it again - nose clear and unbiased. I fell completely in love with its freshness and citrusy rhubarb vibe! I've been applying it a lot since last night and it makes me feel good.. pretty sure it's giving me a strong dopamine hit!! Not many fall into that category. But I do wish it lasted longer and I wish it was a bit more affordable.

I think I’ve already reviewed this and I don’t care. The people saying this smells like aftershave are insane. It opens with a crystal clear lemon rhubarb, but my favorite facet to it is the freaking basil. It’s not like straight basil from the store, more like a lush herb quality. The rose is very light to me. I had this and didn’t wear it for months because I thought it was a little boring but it finally clicked. This is one of the most unique out of everything I have and I would absolutely re buy when I run out.

Sophisticated citrus. Think Fanta orange with rose oil and some spices. Orris root and cedar give it some "seriousness" and depth. Tart, sour, aromatic and fruity-sweet at the same time, very uplifting. Serious contender as far as Summer scents go. I'm really enjoying this one! The dry down is gorgeous, rarely the case with citrus based fragrances, it's musky and slightly powdery, very pretty!

I tested almost all Memo Paris perfumes based on samples and this is the only one I have purchased in full bottles. My tastes changed after COVID. Before that, I always wore oriental spicy scents every day, both in winter and in summer. And now I like the softer scents. I'm looking forward to seeing what it will be like to wear it in winter. 5*

Now that I've had my time with it, I really enjoyed it. Perfect for a springtime, I love how rose is uplifted by citrus' sourness. It's really pretty, juicy and makes you happy when you wear it. It's actually quite a gentle scent and on the drydown I mostly get watery rose. I put it on my to do list.

This is addicting. I get the bergamot and basil big time, then the rose note. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s so different from every other frag out there, but I cannot stop huffing my wrist. I must have a full bottle!

at first it's a strong rhubarb ,then all the way rich and aromatic rose/citrus/musk combo . I think it's beautiful ,but nothing innovating. I've got my little sample ,but I will get full bottle for hot season.

Beautiful, tart citrus. The rhubarb gives this citrus bomb a bit more interest and the combination of these notes is beautiful. I really, really enjoy this one.

I tried Corfu, Sicilian Leather, Flam and Sintra today, they are all amazing fragrances, but this is the best one imho.

This frag has a very unique transition. This is my only fragrance with a rhubarb note; it's very heavy at first, smelling of something very green & dirty to my nose. After 5 or 10 min, it starts to evolve. The rhubarb fades away and turns into a sort of, powdery green floral. It isn't sour to me, but at this point the grapefruit note is present. I think that's what people are saying is sour. To me, it smells like a tart citrus. I dont have any other fragrances with grapefruit either. Unlike a lot of fragrances with orange/ lemon citrus notes, the grapefruit stays around for a while and adds something extra to the fragrance that I appreciate. Overall the fragrance is a very fresh and unique spring scent. Definitely unisex, which I love. I'm a gourmand girlie at heart so I probably wouldn't wear this often, but I'd love to smell this on a man. I don't think blind buying is ever a good idea, but if you like fresh/green/citrus scents, it's pretty safe imo.

Corfu is a perfect example of a type of fragrance for which I'd say, "what's not to like?" It's completely pleasant and lovely, a fresh effervescent citrus in a most classic rhubarb way bolstered by some woodier/earthier notes. I've smelled the rose/rhubarb and rose/blackcurrant combo in several fragrances recently (Rosestruck, Rose Ikebana, Amo Ferragamo) and whereas the others I'd say Rose Rhubarb, this one I'd def say Rhubarb with rose. It's much more dominant here. Still if I want a special rhubarb citrus, I think there are others I'd reach for first (like Maison Crivelli Citrus Batikanga). All this said, the next sentence after "what's not to like" would be, "what's to love?" there's nothing that makes this more standout to me than any other rhubarb/blackcurrant/citrus combo. In other words, I'd be happy to wear this, but would never reach for it.

Corfu has a real ensemble cast of ingredients, each playing their part in their own subtle way to create a confident but understated scent. The rhubarb is unique and personally, I love it, offering something different to the delicious fresh fruit citrus all stars on show here. The rose also does significant lifting and for me, while the Amber and cashmere rounds it off in a smooth, almost honey like drydown. The fragrance takes you on a journey, that is often not linear, with the different elements popping up throughout. This perfume has a sense of familiarity. It smells like old money. It is high quality, time proven notes, and although it does not demand attention, it lingers like a memory.

Perfectly unisex! It's bright, sparkling. Grapefruit and cedarwood blending together in perfect harmony. Not going to lie, I love the smell of this but I would not wear it - I would purchase for my partner. When I close my eyes, I can see this on my man during an amazing island vacation sunset. He's wearing a linen shirt, feet warmed by the sand... with the sound of the waves in motion. As it dries down, the more masculine woody notes continue to grow stronger - a perfect sexy gentleman's fragrance in my opinion... though, in general, it is truly unisex.

I agree with the reviews below saying that the slightly sour tart rhubarb note is quite prominent at the beginning, and it's also quite fresh and juicy throughout but somehow on me it has some slightly male cologne'y vibe. There's so much packed into it that I cannot discern any specific notes, but I had expected to really like it as a potential summer freshie and it's leaning a little masculine on me. it becomes a skin scent quite soon, but there it stays very long, I could still sniff it on my wrist the day after

This one is definitely not for everyone's nose, this rhubarb hit hard at the beginning but if You give it 20-30 minutes You will be surprised how the blackcurrant and rose mix together that well. For me this is late spring or summer time fragrance and It definitely gave me throwback on my honeymoon when I was drinking cocktails on Corfu beach. Not safe blind buy but would recommend for someone who is on the hunt for new summer time fragrance that is under the radar.
