Portobello Road

I can not say enough good things about Portobello Road. First, it's the only current myrtle that isn't hyper-masc. I have Notre Myrte from L'Occitane, long discontinued, but too rich for an everyday scent. This, oh my, this IS. It's aromatic, vaguely aquatic, with the myrtle and rose twisting together to lift each other up. It's green, damp, dew on roses, sea spray on myrtle and fresh rain on the road. This is my 4th Memo acquisition and I think it's the best freshie in their portfolio. Now I'm running off to learn more about the perfumer, Alienor Massenet, because I don't know anything about her except Portobello Road. I want to learn more! 10/10, blind buy safe if you like the category. I'd even say this is friendly for green-curious (get a decant!). Edit: Lol, she created every Memo I own. Now it's time to see what she's created for other houses. Love finding a perfumer who speaks my olfactory language!

Portobello Road from Memo Paris is a masterpiece of a fragrance. It’s the first time I try one of their fragrances and I am completely mesmerized by the scent and composition. Unlike any other of my fragrances at home, and I have over 300. I tried it in store the first time and when I was walking in the city on my way home I got stopped by a woman asking me what I was wearing. She had caught the scent when I passed her on the street and she followed me a few steps to ask me what I was wearing. On my skin this is an amazing green (but not bitter), fresh and floral scent. The flowers and the sweetness, because there is some, are the main characters on me. It’s elegant and refined, not a mainstream fragrance. I am loving it and have been wearing it every day since I bought it a week ago. Loving it.

When I was a child living in central Florida, in the spring and summer, it would rain every day at 4:30 pm like clockwork. We all knew it. At 5 pm it usually stopped. I would usually either walk to or from my friends house on the paved road past an Orange Grove/orchard. The rain on the asphalt, combined with the orange blossoms was a scent I would never forget. From the first time I smelled this fragrance, I was transported back to a time a 7 year old boy was walking home and unknowingly forming a life long cherished scent memory. This is one of my forever fragrances. I will repurchase it every time the bottle empties. An added plus is I have never had a time I wore Portobello Road and not had someone compliment me and/or ask me what fragrance I am wearing.

it was an unplanned purchase, but I think I got lucky with it..the opening is beautiful, yet I enjoyed the Rossy dry down a lot. I loved it more on fabric more then skin. Over all 9/10
