#30 of My Fragrance Journey: The Scent That Made Strangers Stop Me in Maspalomas I didn’t expect a perfume to steal the spotlight on my holiday. Honestly, I just packed Tales from Zanzibar because of the name — it sounded exotic, a little dreamy, maybe even flirty — one of those “why not” choices you make before a trip when your brain’s already halfway to the beach. I figured it’d suit the heat. It turns out that it became the scent of everything. The first spray was a jolt — bright lime, red mandarin, pink pepper. A shock of sunlight, really. Then came this cool burst of mint that hit like a sea breeze on bare skin. It’s the kind of opening that makes you close your eyes and breathe deeper, like you’re standing on the edge of the world with salt drying on your shoulders. And that’s when I realised: this wasn’t a beach fragrance pretending to be sexy. It was sexy. A few minutes in, the coconut and guava start to hum beneath the citrus — warm, soft, a bit indecent in the best way. There’s a touch of blackcurrant too, sweet and tart, like the taste of a kiss after a cocktail. It’s tropical, yes, but not the tourist version. It’s the real thing — sweat, rhythm, laughter, skin. Then came the moment. I was out in Yumbo one night, music spilling into the air, people moving like they’d forgotten what shame was. I passed a guy by the bar, and he leaned in — close, too close — and said, “You smell incredible.” I laughed, said thanks, and thought that was it. But it kept happening. A waiter, a stranger on the street, someone brushing past in a shop — all of them stopping, turning, asking. This scent wasn’t just projecting — it was seducing. And the dry-down... ooh, the dry-down. That’s where it goes from flirty to magnetic. The ambergris and musk wrap around you like heat after sunset, a kind of second skin. There’s transparent oud and moss underneath, grounding it, keeping it from floating away. Then, just as you think it’s done, this soft candied sweetness sneaks in — golden, glowing, addictive. Like the last sip of rum at the end of the night, when everything slows down and everyone looks beautiful. It’s sensual without trying. Tropical without cliché. It’s the scent of skin kissed by the sea and a little too much confidence. A little salty, a little sweet, and completely hypnotic. Tales from Zanzibar didn’t just smell like my holiday — it became it. Every laugh, every dance, every late-night walk through Yumbo when the air was still warm and the world felt endless. Even now, I spray it and I’m right back there — under neon lights and palm trees, warm air on my neck, laughter in the background, someone’s eyes on me. This isn’t just a holiday scent. It’s a story in amber and salt, in heat and nerve. And believe me, people will follow that story.

This is an absolute triumph in perfumery for a sweet/fresh fragrance. I was hit immediately with an eye opening zesty blast with the lime and juicy mandarin and I detect the mint note that makes it so refreshing but at the same time it has a depth to it as it is strong. The mid and dry down is much the same as the opening to my nose, and fairly linear, but it is a scent to behold and to be able to project and hold onto those fresh notes for so long whilst being balanced with calming smooth coconut is an attribute. I'm unfamiliar with the scent of guava, but as the backbone of this fragrance smells completely different to any of my fragrances that don't contain that element I assume that is what it is that projects prominently throughout the duration, assisted by the ambergris and moss, and having an amateur nose to fragrance I may be wrong, but it just lasts and lasts. I get the feeling of walking through a steamy tropical orchard and this stays for the entire duration. My skin eats fragrance very quickly unless I'm wearing an old school Antaeus or strong alpha male type chypre or Megamare for instance, but this lasted over 8 hours on me and for this type of fragrance is unheard of to me and it outperforms most sweet, fresh alternatives. It's just so refreshingly different from other niche/designers on my shelves and although I've only had my bottle for a week I've already made a small dent in it as I live in a hot country and I've used it almost every day. An outstanding addictive effort from the house. Back up bottle now purchased. ------------------------------------ Update: 18th October 2025 I'm trialling / wearing a few fragrances just now, some I've owned for a while and not used and some newbies and all parts of arms and hands, wrists etc. are stacked with different scents at the moment. For context I have Tommy Iommi Xerjoff, Gulf Orchid Mango Ice, JPG Le Male Elixir Absolu, Guerlain Tobacco Honey, Van Cleef & Arpels Bois D'Amande, and this one. These were all applied within the last 90 minutes together and are all strong fragrances from my experience. I already knew this was a strong fragrance from my previous comment. TFZ is on my left forearm and I can't smell any of the other fragrances that are closer to my nose at all. I'm impressed but also bamboozled. I don't know what's in this to make it so strong.

Lovely densely crisp and beautiful smell. The quality of the ingredients really shine here, this is no fruity slushy or anything synthetic, actually there is nothing synthetic at all about it, that's where it really shines and can carry off the fruity vibe with such body, dense yet not cloying, even in this hot British Summer day (I know, one to note down for history eh?), this was actually put to the test, I just kept on refreshing the fragrance e try few hours even though it didn't need it, I just wanted another hit :) I have been unable to escape the charm of this fragrance, to the extent that I went and spent a great deal of time researching this house, as I had not heard of it 72 hours ago, yet here I am absolutely loving it. I love this to the point where I nearly missed this sample, and never would have tried it, to the point of using it last 48 hours, and then deciding it was FB worthy but hanging about humming and sharing (as I had already bought 4 frags this week!), in the end I bit the bullet and not only that, I went and bought another of their frags (Lost in the Desert), and I will be buying their On Night in Marrakech soon, providing I'm not bankrupt :/ I would say blind FB safe buy, but it's £150 for 50 mil, *however* it's Extrait de Perfume, and you can definitely notice it. Dare I say this is another London based House that I think will be going places? I'm pretty sure I can call them a British Nishane, even dare I say better......? This is my subjective thought on the house and fragrance, obviously many will disagree and others agree, that's the beauty of this addictive hobby :-) Edit: I tired to add something in the "This reminds me of" and I couldn't, I simply couldn't, this to me anyway, feels very unique, I can not think of any other frag that is like this, making this a lovely unique fragrance. As far as Mancera Crush; I've never smelled it, but I have had my fair share from the house, and Mancera is Synthetic though and through, this is the complete opposite, I can feel the quality of the ingredients, well at least I'm convincing myself so..... :-)

Tales of Zanzibar is one of the most photorealistic fragrances I’ve experienced. The guava note in the opening is phenomenal — bright, juicy and incredibly natural. Unfortunately, the performance on my skin isn’t great. After around 20 minutes, I can only detect it when smelling close to my skin. Either I’m going nose blind to it, or this fragrance simply doesn’t suit my skin chemistry. However, this post isn’t really a review. It’s more of an informative overview for anyone considering buying this fragrance second-hand, like I did. One very important thing to know is that this fragrance was released in both 50ml and 75ml bottles — and the bottles look almost identical. The only reliable way to tell them apart is from the side view of the bottle. The 50ml version has noticeably thicker glass that narrows inward, which is only visible from the side. I didn’t know this. I was under the impression that 75ml was the only size available. So when I paid £114 for what I believed was a bottle with 85–90% remaining, I thought I was getting roughly 64–68ml left (based on a 75ml bottle). In reality, it was the 50ml version, meaning the actual amount remaining was only around 42–45ml. That’s quite a big difference. So if you’re buying Tales of Zanzibar second-hand, make sure you check the bottle from the side to confirm whether it’s the 50ml or 75ml version — otherwise you might end up making the same mistake I did. True story (overshare - but I don’t care) ... I actually only found this info out after a very kind lady pointed it out on a FB group. I was so appreciative that I’ve now made her my girlfriend ❤️ So Zanzibar is a little sentimental to me 😊

A stone winner, against all expectations and prejudices. As a fruit-hating, generally anti-femme-scent sulker who prefers woody/smoky/spicies, I was absolutely NOT expecting to be led out to the beach in a happy daze by this one. But it won me over with its incredible flair. It works the magic by not going too sweet, and by having the guts to play up the earthier, funkier facets of guava and cassis in particular. Instantly transported me back to days in Africa (yeah, real Africa) with THAT GUAVA - which isn't a fruit I even like to eat, but Zanzibar's really kicky, almost musky, zing has the genuine, total full-spectrum of the fruit just picked and cut - and never cloys, not even a little bit. Lovely lime and creamy coconut round it out without getting too cute either. Guava for grown-ups. It just put a great big smile on my face, even in hostile northern climes. "A tropical scent for indoor people" - a-skeleton really nailed it. MOAPC's hype train hurtled hard and fast in the UK scent community and this one was the banner scent, which is well justified. Never smelled guava so well done in anything else, and it is original and nuanced enough to shine anywhere. Infinitely more adult and sophisticated than 99% of so-called 'tropical' fragrances - many, many miles away from mass-market 'sunshine scents', and one you could wear among even the most educated perfume snobs without feeling basic. Price is high but defensible given its high-class character and robust wearing power (5-8h). Truly one of the great ones, in the sense that it brings something new to the table and is capable of changing your taste for you. All the stars!

Let's pause for a second to admire the olfactory gem of a creation that is this! I mean my goodness! A lot of scents with coconut have been thinking of sunscreen, the kind that drowns out the actual frag you want to actually smell like. Notes of perfectly blended guava and coconut, with a hint of lime....this stuff smells great....if I had a drink with a little lime, coconut, mint and guava blended with a spiced rum and this scent?! This has all the makings of a perfect summer cocktail! Compliments galore but who cares when th3 smell you'll smell radiating off your sun warmed skin will make you inhale deeply and just bask in the moment of just...being. you don't need validation with this scent. There are no crying kids, nagging bosses, deadlines... This is no responsibilities, the single life, a world full of possibilities. You're barely over 21, all possibilities lay before you. Days are filled with adventure. Nights are filled with raucous laughter, flirting with strangers, and there's electricity in the air that anything could happen and what will be will be! Somehow....they put all of that in a bottle!!!!! Perfect summer scent Excellent longevity Wear this all months to just get away in your mind. MOAPC....thank you for this creation!

It immediately reminded me of Sonia Rykiel back in the 90s when LeMale and Angel had broken the mold of what men scents were supposed to smell like. Sonia Rykiel was being promoted by salesmen as the new unisex scent. I thought it was feminine at the time. Now I love it. It starts fruity creamy...the guava with other citrus to my nose smells like sweet pulpy pineapple glazed with grapefruit infused syrup, served over a very faint “westernized” Oud that has been made creamy by a subtle sprinkle of toasted coconut oil. There is a touch of salt in the air. Being an Island man, it reminds me the salty breeze coming from the sea while having a fruit salad of guava, mangoes, pineapple and grapefruit (most of these not listed) served on a plate made of exotic wood (the Oud?). It is not a drink reminder like Virgin Island Water. Not that kind of coconut pineapple combo. I believe this is because the coconut here smells like the oil extracted by roasting the copra from the coconut fruit. And the touch of Oud mixed in just makes it all incredibly alluring to anyone with a tropical background or with rich, vivid memories of a childhood in the tropics. Beautiful.

Received this in the post today! Been searching for it for a while now and it’s been sold out everywhere. Batch code 37906.. ive got the older batch codes in decant form and whilst there is a difference in the opening (heavier slightly dirtier Vetiver) the dry downs are exactly the same. I’ve been through multiple decants of the older batch codes and this one, that is getting a lot of dislike from the community, is genuinely a beauty on my skin! This will now be a rare batch and I’m definitely going to cherish my bottle. I’ve heard that they will be releasing this again soon so keep an eye out! Everything that I look for in a fragrance, fresh fruity slightly creamy from the coconut. For a fresh fragrance this lasts forever on my skin. Easily 8/9hrs. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to buy this or Loumari Porthole and I opted for the latter, my obsession for this has only grown stronger since lol and I guess it was the fomo/addiction that brought me to get this shipped over from Denmark. Now my 2nd bottle from the house after California Love and I think Belgravia Iris will be in the collection next! Slowly becoming my favourite niche house!!

Firstly, I would like to comment that this is my first blind buy and that I had checked for many other summer fragrances and this was the main one that popped up. Majority of the time hyped up by Tjtalksscents and I now could see why. Tales from Zanzibar has a very realistic tropical scent which excels throughout the day, it is said that their is also an oud note although i’am still yet to smell it as I have only worn it once soo far. I would like to say that it would last a long time as I have sprayed on around 5-6 sprays and is quite potent (anymore then that might not be tolerable) however time will tell. I’m stern on that this is a summer and spring fragrances and that I wouldn’t wear it in winter as I like my fragrances dark and heavy in that period of time however that is my opinion so others may think different. In conclusion I think that this is a successful blind buy and that Tjtalksscents hype was very worth it. Scent - 9.5/10 Longevity - N/A cannot comment as it is my first time wearing however it is potent so far Price point - £195 for 75ml may be considered very pricey however I would argue otherwise and that it is worth it.

I would love to gatekeep this but I got to be honest and share this heavenly scent. My first ever blind purchase btw. My #1 summer perfume in 2025. The fruitiness, sweetness and freshness concocted in this perfume is just something that I've never smelled before. Smells so INCREDIBLE. The performance on this is insane. Which makes the price point worth it in my opinion. My most complimented perfume in matter of months. EVERYONE that have smelt this on me loved it and wanted to know the name of the perfume. My brother who is very picky with perfumes loved this and asked if he could wear it multiple times. Another one told me that the scent lingered on them after giving me a hug hours before. A older female family friend smelt this on me and wouldn't stop asking my mom to send me the name/pic of this perfume. My girl can't stop sniffing me and hugging me whenever I wear this. And she tells me this smells so good. I am buying a back up bottle of this for the next summer, as I'm already half way through my 50ml bottle.

Very photorealistic guava - I also get passion fruit and mango from this. Quite fresh with the mint and lime, yet still very sweet. This smells like walking through a fruit market at the end of the day, and the produce is over ripen from sitting in humid heat all day. Very playful and tropical, dare I say juvenile, very feminine (very surprised people are saying it’s masc, maybe because it’s being pushed by male influencer TJ Scents? - but it literally smells like a sugary cocktail). Overall you must enjoy smelling of straight up candied fruit. Not sure how anyone can get much wear from this in any other season but summer - it’s just so tropical leaning. It is strong for sure but becomes skin scent ish after 4hrs on me. Price is ridiculous. £195 for 75ml from a new brand. Plus the bottle is a little cheap for me.However - I do think it’s the best guava scent on the market so I will debate on whether I need it, but very likely I will walk into Les Senteurs for a bottle...

Lime, guava and tropical green. This is one of those fragrances that does that photorealistic thing and it doesn’t smell synthetic at all. This is also a scent that has a good amount of oak moss that doesn’t overwhelm the entire thing. I love the smell of oak moss, but I am slightly sensitive. This hits the perfect amount to give me that intense green, while not making me feel slightly allergic. I’d also like to add that the sillage on this is crazy huge. I normally have really tricky skin for sillage and longevity and this is among the best in my collection. If you are looking for a spring or summer beast and want to smell fresh and unique, this is really it. Such an underrated pick and really not terrible value considering the performance. I’ve gotten more comments in one day from this than I’ve gotten in weeks.

Top notch tropical fruity beach scent. The guava is prominent and delicious with a fresh musky and salty amboxan dry down. No overly harsh or sharp elements that can ruin similar fragrances at least to my nose. Performance is very good too in terms of projection and longevity. I happened to get a decant of Porthole by Loumari at the same time and they are definitely in a similar tropical amboxan vein, but Porthole doesn’t have as distinct a guava note. I really like both, but having both would be redundant. Side by side Porthole has a bit of an edge in smoothness and a more salty creamy dry down that I prefer, but I would be happy with either of them. The deciding factor would probably be which full bottle I can get cheaper (which seems to be Porthole)

This might be the best fruity fragrance I've smelled. I'm a sucker for a cassis note and I love the sharpness it gives in the opening.The combination of the cassis and the guava smells a lot like passionfuit, before mellowing into a softer and more unique true guava note. This is tropical and playful and would be perfect to bring on holiday to a hot beach or jungle destination. It smells like soft drinks from Rubicon but without somehow feeling too sugary, artificial or juvenile. I can't wait to test this on my skin in hot weather. The cassis note is reminiscent of Diptyque's l'Ombre dans l'eau EDT, tart and green and fresh, combined with the fruit salad joy from God of Fire by Stephane Humbert Lucas. This is a must try for fruity fragrance lovers.

This scent is amazing. It's smooth, it's sweet but not cloying. It's fruity in the most masculine possible way. Very good for a summer reach. Definitely not accustomed to very formal events, but it's still good for beach days, hang outs, or casual dates in the summer. Initially I'm picking up a lot of earthy, dirty guava in a good way. It reminds me of hiking through a rainforest or a jungle right after a storm. The dry down is this sweet, beachy, slightly coconutty guava with a hint of zingy mint. Projection is an 8/10, longevity is an 8.5/10 for me personally, but the smell is so good it brings the fragrance to a total 9.5/10. If I could have 3 summer fragrances, it'd be Wulong Cha, Pacific Chill, Imagination, BDK Citris Riviera, and this.

I feel as if this is almost close to perfect. Very nice, high quality perfume. Very tropical vacation type vibes. Ok projection, great longevity. I feel as if the cassis, coconut and musks are creating a very nice guava accord. The top mint, although brief, is a very nice touch. It’s zingy and really helps accentuate fruit notes. It reminds me of the lime in VIW. Not getting any Oud. It would be almost perfect if the later drydown didn’t resemble br540. There’s a musk?that resembles br540, it’s a bit much for a tropical summer fragrance, but it is necessary to create that guava feeling, If you hate br540, this is slightly similar, but still very different. It seems as if this might be discontinued.

I smell mostly Guava which is exactly what I was hoping for. It is very tropical and that is my favorite direction in perfume. I would say it is unisex but perhaps leans slightly masculine from the oakmoss. I smell a lot of guava but also notes they don’t mention... I smell peaches and nectarines. It’s beautiful. Maybe a little bit of a coconut vibe but mostly guava “mandarin” peaches and oakmoss. Perhaps a fruity Chinese oud but very far in the dry down. This is not a “body spray” it’s very high quality. NO IT IS NOT TOO SWEET AT ALL. I’m not a fan of too sweet like oud satin mood. This is a 10/10 perfume perfect for a vacation. Gatekeep this.

Ok wow, this lives up to the hype and the reviews. It's an extremely sophisticated, grown up tropical that's perfectly unisex. It's more like a jungle than the beach, if you know what I mean. I don't know what guava smells like, but the lime, cassis and mint are very fresh, juicy and realistic. I get some grapefruit though it's not in the notes. The coconut is very subtle in the background. I don't detect the oud, so don't be scared of that if it's not your thing. The drydown is AMAZING and it keeps it's freshness forever! A beastly, long lasting tropical. Expensive, but definitely worth the price.

Guava enticed me right away. Inhaling deeper I get the refreshing mint and bright lime that makes me want to keep sniffing it. The underlying sweetness begins to blossom as the guava mellows into a delicious tropical song. A scrumptious coconut comes out in the dry down and rounds out the entire scent. This is my first fragrance I've smelled with guava and I'm completely enamored. Definitely unisex. The fruitiness makes it lean more feminine but the spicy pepper and oak moss balance it with masculine touches. Summer scent for sure. Absolutely refreshing.

I love a good holiday smelling scent so was eager to try this out over the summer. I got a 5ml decant from a friend and was not disappointed thus is probably one of my favourite scents of the summer and I found it better performing than VIW and more female friendly and less cloying than Tropiques which I found turned quite masculine on my skin. I don’t get the longest wear out if this but o find it refreshing and uplifting so don’t mind a midday top up with this one. Lots of fun for summer but more of a daytime scent for me personally.

The king of tropical fragrances... This beats any other tropical fragrance I've ever smelled before (God of Fire, Summer Hammer, Erba Pura) maybe tying in with Loumari Porthole in terms of quality. Ultra realistic guava tree leaves, refreshing coconut, minty green notes as well. This is blended to perfection, smells juicy and green at the same time and is perfectly unisex. Projection is LOUD for a fragrance like this and longevity fantastic, from 10-12 hours. Get your noses on this one, a summer banger. 10/10.

This is a gorgeous fragrance! Along the line of Simone Andreoli Party in the Bay but with more guava instead of lime. Perfect for summer! Reminds me of beach days in South America. I don’t get much of the coconut so I would say it’s more of a fresh coconut water added to this instead of creamy coconut. I hate even just a hint of Oud, happy I can’t find any Oud here. Definitely unisex. Update: the musk in the dry down goes a bit to the fruity B.O territory...I’m going to have to try this again to double check.

A great spring and summer staple for the higher temperatures. Tales From Zanzibar is a unique guava-prominent scent that radiates freshness with the help of the mint and cassis notes. It begins very green and fresh but dries down into a sweet fruit concoction. It somehow reminded me of Louis Vuitton's Pacific Chill with how refreshing it is, however, TFZ is bolder, and it performs better. If you're looking for a tropical fragrance that has great performance and is somewhat unique, this might be worth trying.

As someone who lives in a tropical country and grew up eating guava, this perfume made me shed a tear. It reminded me of my late childhood when I used to climb guava trees for it’s fruit. Sharp metallic, guava and fruity, then there’s oud somewhere along the line. This got me tons of compliments in my sophomore school, such a compliment getter and one of my favorite niche summer perfumes. 10/10 for me, lasted 6+ hours on my skin and projected around arms length with 6-7 sprays. Already halved my bottle.

For me, this is one of my favorite fragrances. The scent is absolutely amazing and truly unique. It really surprised me because I’m not usually a fan of guava, but this one is on another level. The performance is outstanding, and it instantly lifts my mood every time I wear it. It smells exactly like taking a fresh bite of guava while relaxing in a forest. The only downside is the high price and the small bottle size. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 8/10 Versatility: 8/10 Price: 2/10

Amazing tropical fragrance. Initially you're hit by sweet (probably too sweet for some) tropical fruits with the kick from pink pepper and freshness from the mint and lime. Then in the dry down, you continue getting that sweet fruits smell but from the guava along with the coconut before it turns slightly bitter. Very good performance too. My biggest criticism would be the price but if you're looking for a tropical summer fragrance, I'd say it's worth the money.

I tried this perfume yesterday, and I fell in love! On me, it instantly smelled like passion fruit which was a bit much as I'm not the biggest fan of fruity scents. But a few hours later, it dried down as a smell I call "pretty boy" with a strong hint of agarwood. I usually use unisex perfumes so this was a pleasant surprise after smelling like passion fruit for hours, it was a spectacular transformation. I put this on my list, time to save up a bit more :D

This is one of the VERY few fruity/sweet fragrances I would consider a true masterpiece. It’s one of the most beautifully blended perfumes Ive ever come across. Guava-forward, yet even the other notes like oud, mint, and coconut BARELY make their presence known with only a whisper. I can’t recommend TfZ enough for anyone looking for that one incredible summer scent. It’s one of the most expensive in my collection but absolutely worth it.

I only tried Zanzibar because I wanted to finish the discovery set. I expected to hate it. (I am NOT normally a guava woman, and I am never a hot-weather woman.) But I keep sniffing my wrist and smiling to myself. The mint! The tropical fruit! It's a high camp ~tropical fantasy~ and it smells incredible. I love a perfume with a sense of humour. This is a tropical perfume for indoors people. I hope they never change it.

I am not understanding the Baccarat comparisons. I can’t stand that garbage at all. But this, Tales from Zanzibar, smells amazing. It’s fruity and tropical but is still a very easy wear for men. Doesn’t get cloying for me and the performance is pretty good. I’d say it is a perfect summer daytime wear. I’d recommend this anyone, male or female.

This is so unbelievably good. Super guava and lime, with a hint of moss in the background. And the best part is it lasts on me for an eternity. My first spray of it was at 18:00 and I still smell it on me pretty strong as I’m writing this review at 13:00 THE NEXT DAY. This is after a hot shower in the morning. Truly a masterpiece! 10/10

This definitely has a BR vibe, but please don't be scared of trying this. Imagine if you will, BR had a baby with some tropical fruits. This is a soft, and gorgeous fragrance. If you like God of Fire by SHL, you will like this too. Absolute stunner. I was in love the first second I smelled it.

This is a blockbuster of a fruit fragrance. Tropical fruit and sea air, like drinking fruit punch on a hot, sandy beach. It’s powerful, persistent, fairly linear and probably the best guava scent you’re ever going to smell outside of a fruit market. Go, seek this out, and enjoy!

Just got the new 75ml bottle after previously owning a sample from the 50ml batches. That sample had great longevity and was much fruitier. Has anyone had any longevity issues with these new bottles, reaching the dry down really fast and becoming a skin scent very soon?

opening smells like a tropical sorbet, with a squeeze of lime. Then the dry down literally smells like a guava candy, with a hint of citrus, has a similar vibe (but doesn't smell like) Pacific Chill. For me the best summer fragrance oat cos its so smooth

Like a somewhat more grown up Escada summer scent. Juicy fruity sparkling blast! Different from all the other florals and sweet gourmands dominating social media fragrance discourse. A grown up tropical fruit bowl. I do get a little masculine vibe too.

This fragrance is stunning. I am lucky enough to own an older batch, so I can’t speak for the new stuff. It is an exotic fruity scent that lasts all day. This is unique. No one around you will smell like this. 2 sprays and I am set for the entire day.

Really very nice but first time wearing it I think it just an expensive version of Vulcan feu. Pretty much 95% similar to it. Tales is a bit deeper a bit denser with a little fizz but general scent is very close. Is nice though

Can't understand the comparisons to BR540, as someone who owns both. This is a quintessential tropical summer frag. Not much else comes close. Pure guava and coconut- blended to perfection. Big compliment getter.

Really delicious guava and lime scent. Bought as it had been hyped up and because I was still after a good summer scent to layer with Maison Margiela Beach Walk and I think I found it. Definitely worth the hype!

High quality addictive tropical scent, the best tropical fresh scent I’ve ever had.. high quality ingredients and doesn’t smell synthetic at all.. delicious smell with good performance.

Tales from Zanzibar would be perfect if they'd turn down the moss note. It has that same oakmoss note Aventus does, and its irritating. I really wanted to love this one. Disappointed.

So unique. A fizzy, sour guava in the opening. Dries down to a fresher guava and mint smell. For if you want a fresh, tropical summer fragrance that is unique. Unisex. 9.5/10

Love love 💕. Sweet fresh citrus with mint and guava. Reminds me a little of Saint Julips by imaginary authors but less surgery. This a scent that creates a smile.

I could make this complex, but I will keep it simple and classy for the masses.......Call me DADDYYYY......because there are levels to this...........

My current signature scent, I absolutely love this fragrance and it does have a bit of a syrupy opening but that dry down is 10/10.
