Wonderlust Sublime

BBW's new body mist Getaway Soiree is in the same league as Wonderlust Sublime. They have some obvious differences. I love both, but Sublime cannot be replaced. I wore both today, and this one is more floral and orange blossom based, while Getaway Soiree is closer to Tom Ford's Eau De Soleil. Not surprised that Eau De Soleil is listed as a dupe for Sublime. NYpost considers Getaway Soiree as a dupe for Eau De Soleil, but I also thought of Sublime when I first wore Getaway Soiree. Getaway Soiree is more playful (as in fruity-sweet), smoother, much sweeter and more lactonic than Sublime which is slightly citrusy/sharp at first (compared to Getaway Soiree) due to its carnation note, and it smells more perfumey - not in a bad way. Sublime has more depth and it is more elegant & refined to me - like 'liquid gold' and white flowers blooming in the hot sun. Both are rich on me and last the same time. Sublime is syrupy-sweet, but also ethereal floral which I love. Getaway Soiree is not ethereal, it is 'overripe' sweet - tuberose heavy so it is more casual-sexy to me, while Sublime I'd wear to summer formal events too. Getaway Soiree is very solar like Wonderlust Sublime, but more beachy, with just enough warmth from the resinous amber it must have, along with the musk (for that solar effect - listed as 'solar musk'). Getaway Soiree is sticky-sweet in comparison and fruity from the mandarin, with milky tuberose instead of tiare flower. Tiare flower is creamy like tuberose, but fresher which gives Sublime its ethereal character in comparison. Tuberose-wise, Very Sexy Oasis is the best in this sweet solar league to me. I suspect that Getaway Soiree has some orange blossom too for the "sunkissed mandarin" note as orange blossom amplifies any solar effect in perfumes and since it smells similar to BBW SunKissed from the sprayer which is orange blossom-heavy, so if anything it is not in high concentration cuz it does not bother me (orange blossom is a hit or miss for me). Sublime has the nicest orange blossom note that goes well with my chemistry. Getaway Soiree is slightly balsamic too, maybe not as much as Wonderlust Sublime which has a more sophisticated vibe (and no musk). I consider these in the same league as BBW's Sunkissed too (that I also love), however that one smells like sun-tan lotion to me and it's rather salty, vanilla-heavy and with orange blossom overload (which can smell metallic or like camphor on me in some BBW mists/lotions). I would not layer Getaway Soiree with Sublime - it'd be too much, they stand alone just fine. Wearing them at the same time on different arm was fun, it's like they were competing with eachother.

Very beautiful and unique. I think its in the same league as The One by D&G, syrupy and floral with a resinous delicious amber base, but this is different than The One of course. This is also different than the OG Wonderlust which I also love, but it took me awhile to love that one (even though I love almond and benzoin) while this is love at first smell. The bottle is unique as I thought at first that I see the liquid, but no, it is gold, and it is the inner part that is gold, not the outter glass as I see, a very nice detail. So it feels like the liquid inside is gold, and that's what liquid gold would smell like in my mind: smooth, almost lactonic, sweet and ambery without being too warm. Beachy enough without any coconut, must be the tiare flower, as I read other reviewers raving about the tiare flower giving a unique beachy vibe in all perfumes we find it, just like in Chapter One by Jennifer Aniston. It is alot like Chapter One, but this is more balsamic and Chapter One is abit like pencil shavings due to the Teak wood, there's none here so much better! Orange blossom always adds some spice that I am smelling here, and Ive noticed this happens when it's not paired with vanilla or musk, along with a waxy almost feel; it almost always happens with orange blossom, same sensation that I got from the orange blossom in So Scandal that I tested these days, that "waxy" kind of spice. Not a single fruit in here and Im not complaining. Performance on me is great. Update: When I overspray and at the opening the citrus is more prominent and kinda reminiscent of L'Eau The One's ambery citrusy vibe.

Warm, creamy and tropical. What a lovely perfume! The glass bottle screams luxury and opulence while the scent transports me to a 5 star resort where everything is pristine and made for the rich and famous. Sublime starts out with a very bright burst of white flowers and sweet amber mixed with vanilla and maybe a hint of sun tan lotion. It’s very soft and feminine. People might notice this perfume on you but it doesn’t command attention nor will it offend anyone. It’s just a lovely, expensive smelling beachy fragrance. I bought this as a gift for someone, but would not mind having this myself at all. It’s very warm and tropical without being in your face or over the top fruity. This is a scent I’d wear with a white dress and a big floppy sunhat, walking through a sun-kissed quaint town with gold jewellery on my wrist. Just lovely. If you’re looking for a classy, elegant beach fragrance, this might be for you. (I also got this half price on Superdrug for less than £25 so there’s that as well!)

It's a lovely sunny spring day today so I thought I would try this sample. At the first spray a super strong orange blossom hits you and it's honestly overpowering for 10 mins, smells like citrusy air freshener. But then the mid notes appears and it's just WOW! So warm creamy, so soft, so laid back, absolutely beautiful white floral fragrance. If feels like you are bathing in creamy milky white floral lotion on a summer day, quite dreamy! I sprayed that about 4 hours ago and still smell the amazing Tahitian Tiare flower. I can't smell any amber base notes yet (I don't miss it). It also smells wonderful on clothes. The projection does not seem to be really strong though, people may only just notice I am wearing this fragrance but this scent doesn’t command attention, it's about making you feel sublime!

VS Very Sexy Oasis is a good dupe for this, both have intense orange blossom and consequently the same thick sunny ambery sweetness. Both are intense perfumes and last long on me. This one is more tropical due to the tiare flower. Very Sexy Oasis has tuberose instead so it is milkier as if there is almond in it. I am not a fan of orange blossom in most perfumes, it smells too floral, salty and weird on me, but in Prada Candy Kiss and these two I really love it. The orange blossom is more detectable in MK Wonderlust Sublime and Very Sexy Oasis than in Candy Kiss.

Immediate when I sensed it, this reminded of something and I figured what it is - Parfums de Marly Safanad. They are very similar in nature- that warm, creamy, narcotic feel that pulls you in and totally messes with your head (in best possible meaning). This one is more lighter and gentler, probably better fit for summer while Safanad is in the same vein but heavier, more opulent and probably better fit for colder months. This is the only perfume from MK that I love.

Beauuuutiful! I don't really care much for the other Wonderlust flankers, but THIS one! Oh my. I think my tastes are morphing, yet again, because I am usually not a fan of coconut, tiare, plumeria etc... But this, this is so lovely! Another spring or summer night fragrance. Romantic, golden, tropical, sweet, warm, powdery and slightly spicy.

love & own all of the oters Wonderlust flankers - so Im pretty sure getting this as well to make my collection comlete. love carnation - a note which used to be found in many perfumes in the 80s and 90s but not anymore - so happy to see it emerge again!! it was about time..

Sunset in a bottle 🌇😭✨it's perfect guys, not too heavy but the amber is definitely there 👌😍you can wear it all day on winter time but on summer time I think it's better to wear it at night 😏it's a very unique smell warm but also light like a summer breeze

This is absolutely beautiful! I got a sample and my, Oh My! It is absolutely gorgeous. It smells like what a lovely golden sunset feels like; warm, beautiful and nostalgic. Will definitely purchase this.

Such a lovely scent, so delicious and creamy almost reminds me of the original Nivea lotion, but the longevity is extremely poor not an even an hour.

I think this one smells like Soleil Blanc or eau de Soleil but it’s a great fragrance. I only bought 30 ml and wished I had picked up 100 ml

This is the best MK fragrance I've ever laid my nose on. It's a solar floral on a very warm base. It opens with juicy orange and soft spices. Orange blossom makes it a little grapey. Tiare and jasmine are the prominent florals, but I get carnation too. It elevates the scent and makes it eeeeverrr so slightly dusty in the best way possible. I could swear I smell a little almond or almond milk in there. It has the "salty sun-warmed skin effect" I love so much that comes through in the drydown of some of these solar florals. It's nowhere near a salty fragrance, it just manages to fake the natural scent of sun-warmed skin beneath a yummy tropical, beachy blend. This is what makes "vacation in a bottle" scents so addictive. It never smells cheap or screachy, it's well blended and perfect for summer, casual days. I bought a 100 mL bottle in case they go and discontinue it. I'm loving it! I agree that Wonderlust Sublime is in the same family as Rouge Malachite. As well as Alien Fusion. This is more my speed though. I enjoy Wonderlust Sublime every time I wear it, whereas the former two are very dependant on mood and hormones. The sweet tuberose in Fusion & sage in Malachite tend to bother me. This is a more palatable take, IMO.

Wonderlust Sublime smells sooooo good. It kind of reminds me of a more glam version of Perfect by Marc Jacobs (minus the edible vanilla yogurt and shaved almonds ). They are not dupes at all, but I definitely was reminded of Perfect after first spraying Wonderlust Sublime. At first, this fragrance was very strong and I hoped that meant it would have great longevity, but it's only been two hours and I can barely smell this fragrance anymore. That makes me sad, because I would definitely consider buying a full bottle if the lasting power was better. I can still get some wafts of the scent when I move my arms around, but I'm not super impressed with the projection. Overall, this smells PHENOMENAL like orange blossom and amber. This would be a wonderful nighttime summer scent because it's sexy, but not heavy. I might consider buying a bottle if I found it at TJ Maxx or something, but because the projection is pretty disappointing, this isn't a new all-time favorite.

This is a likeable fragrance. There have got to be other ingredients besides those listed here, though. I smell Mostly amber followed by a powdery light heliotrope aroma, coconut (only on top notes), cashmeran, white musk, tiare? (smells more like a lily of the valley to me), and an aquatic note of some kind. This is not natural smelling. It reminds me of a bath and body works lotion or was it VS? in a blue bottle I used to have back in college (in the 90s). Yeah, it’s a musky aquatic. I’d say it’s for the under 30 crowd. Edit: indeed basenotes has several additional notes, including Tonka bean and sandalwood on the base, jasmine, orange blossom and dianthus for mid notes, and mandarin and pepper on top. Edit: the top notes of this are really nice and last longer on clothes. It scratches that tropical itch without being like sunscreen. This is MUCH better on clothes than skin all around.

This one is really growing on my. Despite being quite weak, and simple, and a bit boring.... It’s the prettiest plain white floral I’ve found yet. I’ve been looking for a simple white floral scent that’s very versatile for layering to make any scent a little or a lot more floral dominant. But one that’s pretty enough that it’s worth wearing by itself, because I find with layering, that if I pair something that’s just okay with something I love, it seems to just detract. Anyway, I think this is that pretty, plain white floral I’ve been looking for. Each time I wear my sample I enjoy it even more. It will take a pretty heavy hand, but it’s cheap enough on eBay that I’m okay with that. The longevity isn’t all that actually - just the projection. I like that it has a subtle sweetness that’s not from anything obvious like vanilla.

A citrus amber perfume that's not heavy on the amber, so wearable in warm weather. Has a tropical feel, thanks to the tiara, and a little bit of spiciness, thanks to the orange blossom and carnation. I don't know where the citrus is coming from, since it is not listed in the notes, but there is definitely citrus in this. Silage is pretty poor as is longevity, but I am testing this from a dab on mini, so it might perform differently if sprayed on. While I think it is pretty, it really doesn't grab me or make me want to run out and replace this mini with anything bigger right now. That's subject to change when I transfer this mini to an atomizer and do a spray on test. I might feel differently about it then. As it is now, it's a firm like. Further review to follow.

This fragrance transports me to a tropical island. As a lover of orange blossom fragrances, I am smitten by the balanced combination of orange blossom and tiaré, a blend that I do not come across often. The fragrance performs rather strongly during the first 30 minutes, but afterwards it quickly becomes a skin scent until I cannot even smell it on myself. The other day, my friend even thought that I was not wearing any perfume when we met three hours after I had applied it. If it were not for the poor performance, it could have been a love.

This scent is gorgeous! That orange blossom pulls you in with its sweet airiness and then that tiare flower! Where do I begin??? Warm, tropical, creamy..... I smell this and I am immediately transported to a tropical sunset beach in Hawaii. It's so laid back and dreamy! A departure from your cliché coconut beach fragrance but it maintains that breeziness - a complete mood lifter! Only problem is that the top and heart notes are quite fleeting, 10 minutes go by and you are left with a slightly tropical amber scent.

Pleasant, alluring vacation in a bottle. I love the amber base, mixed with the spiciness of the carnation, and the creaminess of the tropical tiare flower. I only wish is projected better and lasted longer on my skin!

This is a pretty benzoin soft solar floral fragrance! I bought a full bottle after sampling it but then I sold the bottle a while later. This is a good one for beachy scent lovers.

Omg I love this, It's soo "creamy" and light without being overly sweet. It's so easy on my nose. I smell nothing that bothers me or annoys me. So likable. I gotta have it.

not bad but no uniqueness. a daily simple summer fragrance, similar to some avon perfumes. (incandessence or today?) I'm happy that I got it without spending money :))

Does anyone else smell coconut 🥥

Usually I mostly ignore MK scents because the brand doesn‘t speak to me at all, but I was looking forward to this because I thought it might be a good modern carnation scent. Well, this is just another nice vanilla (not amber) and tropical white floral scent, very summery, creamy and smooth, on the sweeter and warmer side. I get a hint of greens in the opening, maybe you could call that carnation with a lot of good will, but overall, this is orange blossom, vanilla and tiaré. It‘s nothing new at all, and in my opinion a little too light to be in that golden bottle. Not what I was looking for and a little too generic, but if anyone cares about compliments - I bought some groceries minutes after I sampled this on my arm today, and the male cashier asked me what it was and gave me thumbs up.

It smells like a tiare infused body oil for summer. Doesn't deserve the price. You can buy the Yves Rocher shimmer oil it's exactly the same thing. Lasting power: 9/10 (it lasted 20 + hours on my wrist, i can still smell it) Sillage: x /10 (Not sure for the moment) Perfume: 5/10 (not original)

Perfect for the summer by the beach on hot and sweaty days. It is not very unique or complex but is rather delicious in it's sweetness, it's delightful and more simplistic in it's beauty. Would recommend to my fellow orange blossom lovers!

My previous review - woops. I meant to say amber, not musk. And I forgot to mention how it reminded me of suntan lotion a little, there was a hint of coconut. I loved it for the first hour but this powdery finish is too much.

Starts very nice, white floral and musk and powder. 3 hours later it's straight powder. Drydown reminds me of Loves Baby Soft. Not for me.

As someone who absolutely hates orange blossom and tiare, you would think I despise this but when I sprayed it at Ulta (not knowing what the notes were at all) I was very pleasantly surprised. Kept sniffing the tester card I sprayed, thinking it smelled similar to Soleil Blanc but much more palatable to my taste. Got home, checked the notes, and was like O.O lol! I ordered a 5ml decant to play around with it on my skin and I have to say that I am still not enamored of orange blossom or tiare, but this may be the scent that changes my mind as the summer starts to heat up. Smells very nice on my skin, very warm and 'round' with no sharp edges or nose curling disturbances. Reminded me of the beach but with no coconut (thankfully) and I also am reminded of monoi hair oils that I've smelled in the past. Will come back later in the summer to edit and see if it's grown on me more but right now I am feeling more positive toward two notes that I consider archnemeses in fragrances so there is hope here lol.

Wow this is surprisingly lovely! I have never bothered with Micheal Kors as I associate it with cheap tacky branding and packaging. This perfume has a soft round amber base with a hint of coconut, topped off with fresh citrus (lemon or orange flower). Beautifully blended- not screechy or sharp. Smells more expensive than it is- think Guerlain, Dior, Hermes and in some cases better than their offerings. Can be worn by any age group all year round on any occasion. This is timeless and inoffensive- solar and angelic. HOWEVER!! longevity is appalling, max 30mins to 1hour on skin. 2 hours on clothes. So I cannot justify buying it. But the fragrance itself is 8.5/10. Worth Sampling

I get a sort of super soapy clean floral that I like but isn’t my personality, backed by the carnation amber which is very vintage in a nice way, but they don’t really meet in the middle. Still, it was fun to try, but I would never wear it. It dries down way too sweetly floral, like the other Wonderlust varieties. It at least has personality though, instead of just a powdery sweet blandness. Powdery sweet blandness can be a favorite bedtime scent for me, don't get me wrong, but there needs to be more in there for day wear. This one almost makes the day wear category, but I amp sweet notes, and it comes out a little too sweet in the end.

It's interesting how much Wonderlust Sublime does smell like the original Wonderlust even though the note breakdown is completely different. The main difference is that this is predominantly white floral. It smells nice, sweet, white, breezy, a bit creamy and also a bit powdery. Unfortunately, most Michael Kors white florals turn really sharp and nauseating on me. I have the same problem with the tiare flower in this as I do with the tuberose in the original Michael Kors fragrance. Too screechy on my skin, it turns my stomach. But if you enjoy the original MK, you should give this one a try.

Initially the opening is straight up lime (fresh squeezed, not barber shop), it lasts for a good 15 mins that way. How refreshing! Wanderlust Sublime reminds me more of gardenia than tiare flower, and dries down super soapy. The orange blossom is not bitter, as I find some to be. The lime is gone and next enters a super light amber. On me, it ends up being a soapy smooth narcotic, which I never knew was such a thing. It's classified as an oriental floral, and maybe it fits, but just barely. I get no coconut or carnation, and it doesn't fit into a "suntan" fragrance for me.

I wonder why (excuse the pun) this was voted as having such intense sillage? I can’t smell it unless I put my nose to where I sprayed it. It’s a lovely fragrance though, it reminds me of Avon’s Far Away Exotic. Spicy. It’s a shame that, since the sillage is so poor, it’s not fit for purpose. Some say, “I wear perfume for me whether others can smell it or not!” So if you don’t mind not being able to smell it unless you bury your face in it (if you even remember you’re wearing it), this one’s for you.

First MK fragrance; I love it. Perfect casual beach fragrance. Doesn’t project a lot but it surrounds me like a second skin. I think their description says it best: conjure the feel of the sun’s rays on bronzed skin. It’s a very warm, pleasant scent. If I were to get this scent naturally: rub on some Hawaiian tanning oil, lay on the sand for awhile, then throw on a cover-up that’s been sprayed with a light floral perfume. I wish it was stronger, but I still love it.

I am wearing it today, and it is a warm honeyed scent, I find it projects good, and I enjoy the amberish dry down..now, honestly, this isn’t a love, but in the cold weather, I find it interesting, unusual.....I don’t detect carnation, or coconut, in that sense, it is a bit linear..so, overall pleasant, not groundbreaking by any means. I found the original Wonderlust more attractive, but it is fresher too..Sublime is better suited for cold weather .

Tiare plus sweet sweet amber. Very nice scent. If you like that sweet amber with white florals like Armani Prive Rouge Malachite, Thierry Mugler Alien, JPG Classique EDP you will like this. *there is no coconut in this, nor perceived. Also, NOT even remotely similar to Tom Ford Soleil Blanc or Guerlain Terracotta.

Wonderlust EDP plus Versace Crystal Noir. Jasmin and coconut. A soft creamy Alien with coconut. That's what I'm getting on this 92F fall day. Beautiful perfume and performance is moderate on a warm day.

I love spraying this during cold months - makes me feel like I am on a holiday. Not a fan of MK in general but this one is a lovely perfume. Good longevity and projects well.

An ambery white floral. It's nice, better than the original wonderlust but doesn't have the wow effect. In this category, i prefer Lady Million and Alien. Final note: 5/10

This is exact.y what it says it is. SUBLIME! Beautiful “roll your eyes in the back of your head” kinda scent. You won’t be sorry you got this at all.

Very bitter. It is not sweet at all. It smells like sunblock, honestly. It's not a bad smell at all, just a weird smell to have as a perfume.

It's like Rouge Malachite is it? Lol. Like a cheap knock off of it. But if you can enjoy this n save your money, kudos.

Cheaper Version Of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc , a classy creamy sun tan lotion fragrance
