Electric Dreams

I do see the comparisons with Fantomas, which will always be my all-time favorite. But this is way more of a neon, fizzy, fruity fragrance. If Fantomas is an edgy melon working at a retro computer repair shop, then this is its bubblegum cousin with neon leg warmers, lucite bangles, and teased, Aquanet-covered hair at the mall. It’s synthetic, but in a completely different way. This isn’t warm, rubbery, smoky synthetic like Fantomas- this is fizzy sour candy synthetic. Think glossy hard candy shells over fruity bubblegum, artificial flavoring, opening candy straight out of plastic wrapping. On first spray I get straight tutti-frutti: a punch of banana Laffy Taffy plus that glossy synthetic candy accord. As it dries down, it mutates more and more into a sour candy profile: fizzier, sharper, with a slight metallic bite. I don’t smell citrus, but there’s definitely that kind of tangy acidic sharpness. That’s where the “electric” feeling really comes from. There are florals in here, and I can tell they’re present, but they kind of blur into the sour candy effect to the point where I can’t isolate them. I wouldn’t call this a floral fragrance at all, but they’re definitely there more than I expected. I don’t detect much smoke at all, especially compared to what other commenters describe. If anything, it’s background texture, at least to my nose. At first I didn’t think I smelled “plastic” because I’m used to plastic meaning rubbery or latex-like. This is different, it’s more like artificial candy plastic that evolves into sour candy. It honestly gives me the image of being a kid in an 80s mall, getting candy out of those quarter gumball machines. I like this a lot. I don’t find it challenging at all..honestly, it’s surprisingly wearable. I can easily imagine this as a kitschy drugstore scent, something in the vein of Electric Youth that late 80s teen girls would absolutely overspray until it fills an entire room and lingers in the air after they leave. To me it leans feminine, mostly because of how loud and neon the fruity candy aspect is. I definitely do see how it was conceptualized after the movie Electric Dreams, which has a place in my heart-I even own the vinyl soundtrack (highly recommended; Culture Club and Heaven 17 are phenomenal).

Its a synthetic smell, but a good one. It has that sweetness and metallic notes which are dominant to me, or im just nose blind to the rest after wearing it for a week. What i get, when i wear this perfume is: Metallic notes,Maybe a bit of plastic on the side, and a good amount of bubblegum. I showed this piece to a few friends: some said they smell banana more than the bubblegum and some said its straight up strawberry. And let me say this, this perfume is completely different on skin than clothes. When i spray it on my arm i get that INSANE smoke, but if its on my clothes the smoke mostly goes away. Its a very unique perfume. Everyone's nose is different but i can say that you will smell:Some of the three sweets:Bubblegum,Banana,Strawberry. And after these you will get that nice metallic notes and if you let it dry down a bit you have some of the plastic. It really takes a lot of testing to see all the sides of this Perfume.

I love it. Based on the description, I really wanted to dislike this fragrance... 100% synthetic so it cannot be good, I thought. Sprayed on my neck, on my shirt. Nothing... Another frag on my wrist, and I thought, that my wrist smells awesome, at the same time convinced myself that the ED smells like an average sweet designer scent. A week later, I tried my sample, and just recognized that the scent I felt through a whole night a week earlier, was the Electric Dreams! Its fresh, and crispy, and watery and smoky, and plasticy, and happy and joyful and everything I don't really like separately, but in this exact form I truly love! Very wearable and likeable. It seems after all, I like synthetic fragrances. Congrats, dear Miguel!

So fruity, colourful and neon with an intriguing, retro-futuristic feel. Immediately after first spray you get a really intense, juicy whiff of bubble gum, strawberry, banana and fruit salad. The plasticy and metallic notes quickly mix with the sweetness as the fragrance settles. The drydown turns more smoky with slightly woody and leather qualities. Really beautiful scent progression and a nostalgic, retro feel. I heavily recommend this, both as an artistic, as well as a wearable fragrance

at first sniff it has the dna of jungle jezebel with chewing gum and banana, in the dry down it reminds me first a bit of piper leather from illuminum, a bit later i can smell ana abiyedh leather. both are very unisex, sort of dry leathery scents. nothing ground breaking though i have to say.

Obsessed. Cannot stop smelling. It's a plasticy, metallic, smokey, banana bubblegum. The smoke is like a Black & Mild. Unbelievably it all works together. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

Electric Dreams takes its inspiration from the 1984 film of the same name, which went unnoticed. A film that was, for the year of its release, prophetic, in which it talks about the love triangle between a man, a woman and a computer (which becomes self-aware), and where the background is the theme of how far AI can go. This is a fragrance that, totally synthetic, wants to project us into this atmosphere seasoned, however, by aromas that we find in everyday life: a fruit-flavoured chewing gum, which then turns clean, recalling the smell of freshly washed skin after a shower, again based on fruity fragrances. For lovers of the genre, seasoned with some slightly more unusual notes, a must-try.

It feels like being in a portuguese club by the sea in the 80s

Was so excited for this, but upon first application could only smell ultra-sweet artificial banana- and while I usually love an artificial fruit scent banana is not for me. On the dry down the tutti frutti and plastic notes come through, as well as a powdery quality from the leather, and a lot of iso e super, but no where as much metal as I was hoping. I was aiming for a sexy 80s cyborg scent but instead got chewing gum in a seaside arcade- fine, but not what I was aiming for.

I HATE that I can’t love this because it’s so close to being everything I hoped for. The metallic note is just too overpowering and cold to a point where I can’t do it. I think I’m overly sensitive so if you aren’t a super smeller, this still could be amazing I think. The other notes are very nostalgic and fun. Plastic and bubblegum are to die for. It really stays on the skin so for the price, it’s going to last.

definitely very masculine to me, the bubblegum is definitely there but i find it harder to smell once out of the bottle. its very strong and made my head hurt the first time i smelled it. overall i do think its alright though, not one of my favorites but i see the appeal.

Intensely fruity and metallic, as if you spilled those fruity childhood perfumes all over you computer. Not quite for me, it's a little too intense on the metallic but it deffinetely is what it describes to be.

Smells cheap, unwearable as well.

I have to agree with notakesbasky... I read an article about how he decided to market / sell his mistakes he had thrown out... So "literal trash" is completely accurate... And I love the artistry and I'll try anything once and... I'm sorry to say... Most of it should have stayed in the bin. Create just one show-stopper and you'll have us eating out of your hands... I mean if Russian Adam can do it (every fragrance he makes has 89% the same smell to it) then so can Miguel. I'm rooting for you.

I've obsessed over wanting this for ages as it sounds so fun, and as a huge lover of Fantomas I was expecting something similar especially with that plasticy vibe that it has. This has none of that. This is metal, leather and Iso E super in huge doses, with a very soft airy fruity tinge to it. It's a real nose killer.

Miguel needs to focus on crafting one fragrance that actually is sublime, instead of selling his literal trash multiple times, and pumping out this stuff no one buys.

Someone please sell me this, even if it’s used or an authentic decant. 💜⚡️🩵 I can’t find it anywhere in the USA
